My gf and I ate the baked Alaskan roll which was really mushy and kept falling apart. It tasted good but it wasn’t easy too it which was annoying. I told my gf that it wasn’t a good experience and would write about it on Unilocal, and I think the chef overheard me because he gave us an order of some really delicious salmon nigiri. So I’m giving this a 4 stars because of the awesome sushi chef

Awful awful awful! Only half of the seats were occupied yet they quoted us a 20 minute wait and even told us that they are quoting us an extra long wait even though it would probably be only 10 minutes. We did a lap around the restaurant and there were trash on the sushi bar, on the floor, basically everywhere you looked. Got a peek into the kitchen and employees were sliding on the floor from all the grime. But they certainly have primo real estate being in the triangle square. Too bad they have poor customer service and one heck of a dirty restaurant. Hopefully they get their act together. But until then, we walked across the street and are currently enjoying ourselves at a Persian restaurant called Darbari. Excellent customer service and the appetizers so far are very tasty.

Second time coming here. They didn’t have the ayce option my first trip, so I was anxious to see if the quality had dropped at all. I’m happy to say that it is still as delicious as before. We got a double serving of the albacore sashimi, then two rolls, the Mexican roll and another I can’t recall. Our bill came out to roughly the cost of one persons ayce price. Definitely a good call not going that route. I would only suggest doing so if you’re out with your boys and you know you’re gonna put in some serious work.

Great place! This place has a great ambience, party vibe, and gentle service. The interior of this place is decorated very well with blue LED theme, with white booths. Ive been here couple times and I realized that music is turned on low during the day time, and loud at night time, they level out the noise accordingly. You can either go for all you can eat sushi for $ 28.95 and bottomless beer and hot sake for $ 11.95 if you would like. The price is a little higher than other AYCE sushi restaurants, but its worth much more. Sushi quality is very satisfying and rolls are delicious. The all you can eat menu covers most of the regular menu items, so its totally worth it. Service is great. I know it can be busy at times, and I can understand and bear with it because the servers are friendly and you can see the servers here are really trying to communicate with us. Service is very friendly here. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, especially if someone loves sushi and they know how to eat them the right way.

SETTING: Orange County’s take on a Vegas lounge interior; classy, modern, nice ambient lighting. FOOD: Fairly extensive menu, good quality, fair pricing, all you can eat and happy hour are very popular, and food has a pretty decent presentation upon delivery. SERVICE: HORRENDOUS(hence the 4 stars). Make reservations(but see below), as this place fills up with long wait times but half the time its because the hostess is unaware of empty tables and over quotes waiting times… by a lot. We were quoted 90 mins and were sat within 15. Hit or miss on that. Again service sucks. They didn’t write down our birthday reservation a couple months back …and not only did we not get the private room we specifically requested(and were promised) because they gave it to someone else 30 mins prior who had no reservation but we also had no table at all because no one had even taken down our reservation, that was put in a week and a half prior. They ended up pushing a couple tables together in the middle of a packed restaurant and screwed up our order and check. Happy Birthday Bae Even with sh*tty service, the food is good, less expensive than other places in the area, its really nice inside… we’ll be there this weekend, as usual.

Decided to come to H20 on a Monday because I figured it wouldn’t be that busy. I was right! The ambiance of the restaurant was definitely a plus. The interior has a very sheik modern look from high bar stools and tables to low booths perfect for two out on a date night. The food itself was amazing for an all you can eat deal. For dinner it was $ 28.95 plus $ 11.95 for bottomless sake and beer. In comparison to other restaurants with a similar deal, the fish at H20 was very fresh and the plates were well presented. In terms of the service it was definitely a 2⁄5. Our server checked in to our table periodically, but not as often as we would have liked. At one point we asked another waitress for soy sauce and she rudely remarked to us that«our server was over here» rolled her eyes and kept walking. In my opinion that was a really rude way to treat customers. If H20 could work harder on their customer service, this would change the establishments rating from a 3 to a 4.

I really wanted to like this place… sadly, I just can’t fall in love. The sushi quality is always good! THESERVICE is the reason I will not return nor will I refer to family and friends. The servers make you feel uncomfortable, they are always so antsy and confused on the order. Their check comes on a tablet that the servers hand it to you and stare at you as you are entering the tip amount… they won’t leave your side unless transaction is complete. Talk about awkward! The managers are also not professional, we cancelled our order since it took a while to get to our table and even then we were not approached by the manager at a professional level. Instead, the blaming game happened and I just didn’t have time for it. I will post a picture of the container… sitting on top of the sushi bar with a label«TOILETLINER»… then decide if you are loving this place.

I would give the this place a 3.5 but I’ll round it down because of the service. When I heard that I was going to be eating at an AYCE sushi place, I immediately thought that it was gonna be crappy like all the other ones. I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered the sushi and the quality wasn’t bad. This is actually the best AYCE sushi quality out of all the other ones I’ve tried. *** keep in mind that I’m only rating this place compared to other AYCE places. Of course the quality and taste of AYCE is never better than the smaller authentic sushi restaurants. I really liked the carpaccios. They had a limited yakitori menu and I liked all the 4 items they had lol. The sushi was good too. I liked all the sushi that the chef put this brown sauce on with a paint brush. It made the sushi taste a lot better. So ask for the paint brush sauce with your sushi! Lol The ones he did that he squeezed some lighter sauce on it wasn’t that good. It was more citrusy. Overall I like this place and if I’m ever feeling for AYCE sushi, this would be my go to place. Service: the service could use some work. They forgot some of our items even though we marked it on the paper. One guy lost our paper and we had to mark down everything we wanted again. We had to flag down the servers if we needed something. They never checked on us.

Its hard to bring myself to give a 5 star to an all you can eat sushi spot, but let me explain… It’s no regular ayce. This place has a «premium» all you can eat menu, with an eleven dollar adder for all you can drink Asahi. The bottomless beer is worth the 5 star alone! On top of being premium, basically everything on their menu. They have yakitori too. Not a huge selection, but a good selection. Another reason for the 5 star. They also had great sashimi options too, and real wasabi upon request(for a small adder). I was here here for my friend’s birthday dinner. We all got here early and hit the bar. They had 3 beers on tap. The ambiance of this place definitely party themed, and decprated well. There were a lot of people on dates here. Like an absurd amount and they were all dressed up haha. Get it in son! I wont go into detail on the quality of the food other than it was all good. Those that look at my pix know i know my fish. I recommend this place Until next time…

I will never be coming back here again. Although the interior looks very modern and cool, the food was horrible. I ordered a crunchy salmon roll and the whole entire middle on the plate was filled with fried onion that was stale and could not be eaten. We also got some green mussels which smelled horrible. Very disappointed… Will not be coming back.

High Quality Sushi, Amazing Customer Service and the AYCE aspect was just icing on the cake. I went here with a group of 10 people for dinner before heading to Sutra and boy was that the BESTIDEAEVER. We didn’t realize it was an AYCE sushi spot because it definitely doesn’t feel like it with the cool vibe and great atmosphere. You can also imagine our surprise when we found out they had the all you can drink option(which we definitely took advantage of). Usually most AYCE places try to fill you up on their rice heavy rolls with very low quality fish but NOT at H20 Sushi. We were pleasantly surprised with the Quality AND the VARIETY of menu items they had. Customer Service was great because our server kept all our drinks topped off and food was definitely coming out of the kitchen at a very responsible speed, given it was Friday Night Rush Hour. The best display of customer service started when our group initially sat down at our table(booth seating for 10) and got politely asked to move to another table(high bar style chairs). Now don’t get me wrong, they didn’t «make» us move, in fact they said it was totally up to us BUT they kindly explained that there was family with kids waiting in line behind us who preferred booth seating over the high bar style table. OFCOURSE we agreed =) After moving, we were immediately greeted by «Young» Nick Kim who graciously thanked us and even comped us one of those HUGE Fishbowl drinks. The drink was delicious but the straws were a bit too short(as you can tell from the photo). Nick checked on us numerous times in the night to make sure we had a great time and the team at H20 Sushi were totally on point with all our orders. Another bonus — I’ve never seen an AYCE sushi place that had Carpaccio and I highly recommend them! Very flavorful and you could literally taste the quality.

Idk if I should give this place a 3 or 4… Maybe I’ll change my mind at the end of my rant. Ambience: club vibe. Very dim lighting. Blue light décor. Very modern and sleek. I can’t stand the dim lighting. I would like to see my food, especially if it’s sushi. I’m very critical! The table we were seated at, had ONE light bulb shining over our table, so every time anything would come out; I’ll bring it to the light. Rules: YES there’s freaking rules at this place for ayce. You can only stay for TWO hours! So you better pray they don’t lag on your food. They offer a drinking deal with the ayce for an extra eleven bucks… But who would seriously take up that offer if you only have two hours? A mad man that’s who. Also like every sushi places, there are rounds for ayce! Which is normal. But what’s not normal is restricting it to only FOUR items per person per round. Since it was me and my boyfriend, we get eight items per round. With a two hour limit. Kinda racing against time. How am I suppose to enjoy myself… Plus side, you get unlimited rounds, but probably would only get three or four rounds in before your time expires. Food: sushi. YESYESYES! This place had such great fish quality. But for 30 bucks per person, i wouldn’t expect anything less. We ordered the salmon, yellowtail, albacore, and eel. All were delicious. Now onward, they’re kind of a well rounded Japanese restaurant. They offer cutlets, yakitori, and a lot of side items. We order udon, light broth and noodles. Pretty good. Pork cutlet, I loved the breading. So tasty. The mussels! Must have! It doesn’t have the heavy mayo topping like other places. Much better. All the carpaccio were absolutely delicious! The spicy albacore was seared to perfection! Yum. However I did not appreciate the yakitori. We order pork belly and it was so bland… No thanks. Also the rolls. Eh double no thanks. We order the most basic roll, a spider roll! And oh my goodness… This was the most disappointing spider roll of all time! So much crab meat. Maybe one piece of soft shell in one of the roll. def a big pass. Seaweed salad, nothing too spectacular, you can def skip over this appetizer to save room for other food items. Service: we came in, and a girl seated us. She went over the regulations for ayce then left. She came back when we were ready and grabbed the order form and just left again. In my opinion, I think she should have went over the order with me. Because not doing so, she missed a few items. And since I only have eight items per round, every item matters ! Well after that, a new server took over. He was nice, but when we ordered salmon collar. He came back and told us «oh sorry we’re out of salmon collar» then just walked away… Haha I felt so awkward. Why did he just walk away? Can we change the item to something else? Is he going to recommend anything else similar? The world may never know… On his behalf, he did get us water refills when he left. But I think it’s weird to just say sorry and then leave ! Left me in awe. But overall, he was nice. I don’t like how the server has to bring you an iPad to check out with a credit card. Looks so tacky in my opinion. Anyways ! Overall, everything was okay. Def will come back if I feel like paying PREMIUM price for«PREMIUM» sushi. Side note: on the order sheet, it said six mussels per order. And I only got five each time. What’s up with that? EVERYITEMCOUNTS. Another thing, we ordered the yellowtail sushi three times. First time it was yellowtail and rice, second time the yellowtail had yuzu or wasabi on top of it with the rice, then third it came out without the yuzu and wasabi on top… Not consistent. What’s up with that again!

I give this place a 3.5 but since there’s none I’ll round it up. We came here because it was the only spot that opens late that we could find. It’s pretty inconvenient if you plan on going to this area just to eat. Especially on the weekends with all the club goers because there won’t be any parking. It’s a full bar so definitely a good place to stop by to grab some sushi and drinks before a night out. Service was nice but definitely on the slow side. We came during happy hour but didn’t order and happy hour items although it did seem good. Maybe we’ll give it a try next time. I ordered their sashimi salad and when I arrived I didn’t see any fish but only greens! I was thinking what the heck. But there was plenty and they were all hidden on the bottom. I thought that was kind of funny.

I wish I could give more stars, but that would be too generous. First off, service sucks here. I came here on a Sunday night and there were only about 7 tables. I also counted about 7 servers and they were not on top of it at all or maybe ours wasnt. I would see them huddle around the counter where you wait to be seated. We weren’t asked about our drinks or checked on about it even half way through our meal. Whenever we needed someone the sushi chef(we sat at the bar) had to keep on calling one of the servers over cause we weren’t being checked on. Our guy even missed one of our dishes, so it was never put on the ticket. We didn’t even care for it anymore. Sushi here is mediocre. You might be better off getting the rolls or something here. This place had the worst tuna toro I’ve ever had. Usually, you would think it melts in your mouth. No, it tasted like hard, chewy octopus. Totally, not the texture or taste i was going for. If you’re expecting santa barbara uni straight out of the sea urchin; you’re not getting it. It’s from the box. The uni wasn’t the best I had. It was ok. We also got the kumamoto oysters. You couldnt really taste the oyster flavors. So, that could be a pro/con for those of you that like oysters or not. The best dish we got here was the yellowtail and they do have the option of fresh wasabi which they charge $ 2 for, but our chef hooked us up. Also, we got 2 orders of that toro, but after eating the first one, we didn’t want to touch it and they took it off the bill. Our sushi chef was chill and cool, so kudos to them. Our waiter on the other hand was probably at work to chill and socialize. If you come here, i recommend sitting at the bar, so that you can get your food right away.(I would see the sushi chef yell for the servers that the food was ready. If they were on top of it the servers would be coming there often to see that the food was ready instead of chilling and having to be called to get the food out to the table). I say stay away from the toro and get the yellowtail. They have a drink special. I recommend that if you just want to drink and eat whatever sushi. If you want quality sushi this isnt the place. You pay for what you get. You’re better off going to oshima, sushi marusaki, ikko, or angotei. Our bill was $ 80 for 2 orders oyster and uni, 2 orders uni, 2 orders yellowtail, 1 order salmon roe, ½ dozen kumamoto oyster, 2 Blue crab handrolls, and 2 orders of tuna toro. So, the bill was cheap for what we got, but you get what you pay for.

We probably didn’t need to make a reservation since we came on a quiet weeknight but the perk of doing so was having a private room for our party of 10. Feeling like VIPs much? All you can eat sushi for $ 28.95 was our bait. Everyone in the party must do the same menu which means no tag-alongs who don’t plan to eat or they will be charged. Ages 4 – 7: $ 6.95 | Ages 8 – 13: $ 13.95. Everything is made to order, no buffet set-up. Thanks to our server, Erik! He managed to take care of our needs in a timely manner and even rescued us at the end of the night when we realized we over ordered. Little did we know he was way ahead of us by asking the chefs to hold off on our rolls until after he gets confirmation from us. You know your server’s paying attention when he can tell everyone’s getting full. That was much appreciated or we would’ve ended up paying for our leftovers. You’ve been warned. I was wary of the complaints on service being slow from other reviews so I tried getting our orders in the sooner we were able to. To my pleasant surprise, the progression of our dishes coming out was just perfect without over crowding our tables and to the point where it was never empty. A tip I learned is to order the carpaccio, salads, and sushi first. These items don’t need that much preparation compared to rolls so there is minimal wait time for the first batch to be served. Rolls tend to get you full fast so pace yourself. It’s ideal to come with a big group so you’re not stuck with eating a roll all to yourself. There’s so much to try on the menu and each time you order, a person is allowed up to 4 items. Imagine 4(dishes) x 10(people). That’s a lot! It’s hard not to go all out with the ordering. After trying almost everything, where I’ve got my money’s worth was definitely from the CARPACCIOs. The salmon was absolutely my favorite. It was fresh, delicately sliced thin, while seasoned beautifully with sea salt, and then topped with lychee mayo, white onions, and tobiko. The Albacore, Spicy Albacore, and Seared Garlic Tuna are not to be dismissed as they too were delightful. I went crazy with the SALMON and YELLOWTAILSUSHI and was pleased that the ratio of fish to rice was on my favor with the fish being bigger than the rice. No freezer burns detected on the fish is a plus especially from places like this. The broiled SALMONCOLLAR from the Izakaya section was popular on our table as was the MUSSELS. I say skip the POPCORNSHRIMP, TEMPURA, and SWEETPOTATOFRIES. For the rolls, oh, we had too much of it! I recommend: H20SPECIALROLL, SASHIMIROLL, SUMOROLL, ROSEROLL, and ALASKANROLL. Forget about the DYNAMITEROLL, ANGRYTAIL, ULTIMATESALMON, and RAINBOWROLL. Those were huge disappointments. Because we were celebrating a birthday and an anniversary, we ended our night with Erik spoiling us with 3 big bowls of GREENTEA ice cream to share with the group — on the house. What a treat! We started and ended strong with a few hits and misses in between. So long as you’re not coming in for Omakase or thinking you’re getting the Nobu or Urusawa experience, for what it’s worth, you’ll leave this place very full and satisfied like my party did. P. S. Uni is not included in the AYCE deal.

GOOD. This place is solid and delicious and the service was great. We came for a late dinner one night, not too long before they closed. We got a few different appetizers, which were all delicious. The free garlic chile edamame… SOLID. I loved it. We each ordered an entrée plate that came with sushi, chicken, salad, soup and it was so good. And for the price… holy crap such a good deal. The amount of food you get is more than enough, and it is all delicious. We definitely did not need to order appetizers too. But we enjoyed everything that we were eating. I honestly would definitely come back. The quality is great, the service was super good, and the food tasted delicious! ONLY problem… the restrooms were an absolute mess. But it was the end of the day, so I will cut a little slack. Overall I definitely recommend this place!

$ 28.95 for AYCE sushi?! WELLWORTH. This place has such a wide selection of sushi, rolls, and carpaccio! Everything was delicious and service was amazing. Food took awhile to come out but it’s because my party ordered a lot every round, so they tried to bring it out all at the same time. which is good, because PICTURES! Tuna crunch salad and garlic edamame was really good. The ambiance there was really nice as well. Clean, hip, with great food and service. It’s located right under Sutra. I’ll definitely be back.

HAPPYHOURSOWORTH! My aunt and I luckily got seated(no wait on a Saturday night) at 6:15, right in time for happy hour which was 3 – 6:30. The menu has pretty good appetizers, skewers, and rolls and you can probably get your whole meal off of that. We opted out on the AYCE sushi because we don’t eat that much but they now have it every day of the week for those who are interested! Note: everything is full sized so the rolls are biiiig. Probably 7 – 8 pieces each. We got: Garlic Edamame: Free with Unilocal check in! A interesting step-up from your ordinary edamame that’s cold. These are cooked with this garlic sauce and are pretty yummy. Use chopsticks now hands. Kobe Tongue: My aunt and I love beef tongue and these were pretty good! Definitely had that texture and flavor but could’ve been even more chewy. Loved it though. Chicken Heart: If you like it you’ll like it. I can see why people like it and I’m a new fan! Soft but has a little bit of chewyness to it. Chicken Gizzard: Still don’t really know what this is but I always get this and it was good. Soft Shelled Crab: Could’ve had even more flavor and been more crunchy. Id go elsewhere for this dish. Sashimi Roll: It’s wrapped in tofu skin I think! This roll is packed with salmon, tuna, yellowtail, crab meat, and asparagus. It’s also pretty big so get it to share! Alaskan Roll: Probably my favorite one because it wasn’t as cold as the other rolls. This one is baked salmon on top of a California roll. Sensual Pleasure: Couldn’t figure out what roll this was but there was scallop, spicy sauce, and cold, fried onions on top. It was good but I wish the onions weren’t cold and soggy :( Cool interior and no stomachache! Definitely coming back to try more happy hour things ^___^
