Maru Sushi

I come here quite often but it seems that with every visit, my experience here becomes more poor.
This restaurant is practically empty and our server is clearly not feeling it. No greeting and just very little attention.
My bf and I were sat down before lunch ended and by the time we got served, we were no longer able to order from the lunch menu. Your menu’s print clearly states that your lunch is till 3. If being seated within 10 minutes till lunch is over means you start happy hour then your sign should state that lunch is only till 2:50.
When we asked if we could see the menu and order more, our server just rolled her eyes AT us. –_​_​_​_​–
1 star because our server Ginger was absolutely rude and another star because food is still on point.

Time for an update! Recently came back on a whim due to the hubbs originally wanting a burger, but because the line at the burger place was too long, Maru was perfectly available.
Once seated inside in a booth and not at the sushi bar, our server was friendly and informed us about the happy hour specials since we came in around the right time for it. We went with popcorn shrimp for $ 4 which we thought was a great treat since the amount we got was plentiful. Also the sushi here has improved a bit better from our last visit a few years ago. Sushi was plump in size, portions for rolls were hefty, and the price for everything wasn’t too bad.
Noted from my previous review where it was A-​OK, some of my points are still valid. Our experience was so much better this time around. We believe that this location might be under new management, so it may be regarded as new improvement for the new year. Not sure, but I am hoping it will continue if we return.
Awesome TIP: Black Snapper Sushi. Its good stuff.
OverALL: Before it was A-​OK, but getting better. Good times to be had. Worth a try!

Love the food, especially the Crunch Roll, but service is always s-​l-​o-​w. My friend and I were the second people seated after they opened today, and it still took forever to place our order and get our food.
