Nady’s Market

I like the place. Nice selection of what I purchase, which is craft beer and bourbon. Some employees (one in particular) is very nice, friendly and he actually speaks to me as a person. Of course, as I am in friggin’ Orange County, most look at me as if I’m some odd alien. But hey, I’m there for the booze, not for equality and diversity.

Pretty straightforward for a convenience/​liquor store. I primarily use the place to grab a cold bottle of water, a can of soda, or a snack. I like to support small businesses such as these rather than going to a chain store.
The guy behind the counter, who I presume is the owner, is always friendly and welcoming. He doesn’t price gouge like some of the other small markets in the area.
I don’t have anything bad to say about the place.

Eh, plain old liquor store. Not much to say.

I went here to buy a powerball ticket with the dates of my sons birth for $ 2 and when I ask the guy for a ticket with these specific numbers picked, he prints a ticket and says that will be $ 16. I told him, no I didn’t want those numbers, Just the numbers written on the piece of paper I had shown him. He says I still have to pay for the ticket and «you can’t play your own numbers.» i asked «so you can only do a quick pick with powerball?» and he said «yes» so I paid the $ 16 and left. When I got home my husband said that the man was wrong, my husband had played those numbers in the previous draw. He even looked it up online. You CAN pick your own numbers. The employee straight lied to my face. Never going here again!!!

There is a much friendlier liquor store around the corner on Baker!!!
A friend had a bottle of a liquor called Hot Sex. I thought it would be fun to pick up a bottle for another friends Halloween party. I first went to the friendly liquor store, they hadn’t heard of it. But looked up online and saw they didn’t have it. Then he checked Bevmo’s website for me, and they didn’t have it either.
So I went home to call around. I tried Bevmo and they informed me it was discontinued for them. So then I decided to call Nady’s, it is just around the corner. I was shocked and happy when they guy that answered informed me they had it. I immediately got in the car and drove over there. I was there in less than 5 minutes. The cashier informed me «his friend» that answered the phone wasn’t there. And they don’t have Hot Sex in stock.
I know this sounds like a joke but I am being absolutely serious. Again there is a much friendlier liquor store around the corner!!!

It’s ALMOST everything it needs to be. Cheap booze, rudimentary snacks, and a warm body to ring your purchases. Maybe I’m asking too much but I expect a shop which traffics in liquor to carry Makers Mark. In a pinch once I was I was forced to leave with Jim Beam or some other equally inadequate bourbon.
If you’re looking for the fairly priced BASICS though… This is a decent choice!

been in a few times, they don’t always have what I am looking for but will also ask and have a case delivered in the next shipment so my next trip I usually find what I was looking for. staff may not always the most polite however.
