The hook, line, and sinker: No Corkage Fee on your first bottle! Okay well, the food is pretty okay too. We came at 8:45PM on Friday and were told for a party of 2 it would probably be a 45 to 60 minute wait. Luckily we only had to wait 25 minutes since we had no problem sitting at the bar. 1. Queso Fundido: Comes out piping hot giving off the lovely aroma of cooking black truffle with a side of crispy buttered crostinis. Don’t like goat cheese? No worries, you can’t even tell. 2. Montadito de Costilla: Wouldn’t get this again. Yes it’s short rib«two ways» but honestly the cooked pulled short rib overpowers everything, the thin sliced variation on top ends up just being a pretty garnish. I could barely taste it on its own. So basically, if you like an alright short rib on top of crostinis, fantastic. But for $ 14 ehhh I’d stay away. 3. Octopus: I absolutely love char grilled octopus and I’d give this a yes-this-will-fulfill-your-octopus-craving rating. Good amount of char and not too dry or chewy, but not the best I’ve ever had. The olive tempenade was an interesting mix with it along with what seemed liked fried sweet potato strings all over it for what I would assume was for the illusion of volume. I’d come back here with friends to enjoy a nice bottle of our own wine and some drunk window shopping at the Mix Mart, but I wouldn’t go out of the way for the dishes we tried at least.

Really great tasting food and the mint lemonade was excellent as well! It had a bit of a spicy kick which complemented the sweet & sour taste of the lemonade well. I’ll list the lunch items ordered with tidbits of info on each… Porchetta Sandwich — Tasty, juicy, smoked pork loin with side of greens. Perfect balance. Bread, meat, olive tapenade… yes, greens on the side were welcome! Ceviche de Camarones — Shrimp, citrus flavored ceviche!?! What? YES. I said it. It was so delicious I almost regretted sharing with my BF! jk. Or am I? I’m a huge ceviche fan, really picky, and this dish ranked high on my list of best ceviche I’ve ever tasted. Croquetas de Bacalao — Creamed cod, potato, etc… pretty good, but the cod or perhaps the sauce on top was bit overpowering for our taste. Goat-cheese Cheesecake with Cherries & nectar of the Gods… need I say more? This blew our minds. The place is small but big on taste, style and service. Servers were pleasant and attentive and we’re definitely going back to try the dinner menu, then we’re going back again & again because, well it’s just that dang good!

Great little spot for tapas with wonderful service. The queso fundido was our favorite dish, there’s something about charred goats cheese, truffles and honey which makes our palates smile. The seared Ahi(Atun) was great, although portioned too minimally even for sharing. The cauliflower salad was just meh – nothing particularly stood out. I would give this dish a miss. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re in the area.

They have very good platters combo. I especially love the chorizo with the Machenga cheese. I came back for the second time and brought 3 more friends and try different Unilocal’s favorites. The service was just as good as the first time. This is my go to place. Upgraded to 5 stars
