Erin is the bomb. Her hand and foot massage during my mani/​pedi were deeply therapeutic.
Appreciated the Non-​toxic nail polishes and essential oil foot scub.
Her attention to detail was meticulous.

Wherever my stylist goes, I will follow! Brittan is my gal and her service is top notch. She always makes sure I’m satisfied with the end result no matter how light or dark I go and keeps tabs on at-​home care to ensure longevity and integrity of my hair. The care goes beyond the chair, which I am very appreciative of.
When it was time for me to come in for a root touch-​up, it was my first time at her new location. It’s a bit confusing to find, but after the first visit, it’s much easier to navigate to. Located on the corner of 17^th Street and Orange, it looks small from the outside, but appearances are deceiving!
Upon entry, the salon is super bright and poppin’. The floor to ceiling windows allow for natural lighting to come through and the salon was bustling with peeps on the Saturday morning I arrived. The salon is incredibly immaculate and the stations are so cute! They have hooks to hang your purse and a place for coats as well.
As for service, I’ve been going blonde for a long time, but felt it was time for a change. I was ready to return to the dark side. Muahaha… but really, blonde was getting a little too high maintenance for me and my hair was breaking at random lengths, even with routine maintenance! I have fine hair, so they can be pretty delicate :(
We decided to tone it down for the first session before pulling my base color all the way through on my most recent visit. Because my ends are much more porous from the blonde, only time will tell how the washout will look, but so far, I love the changes in my hair.
Not to mention, I usually learn something new with every visit, such as gaining volume I never knew my hair could hold to product recommendations that are essential to hair growth/​management (hair masks, dry shampoo, primer, hairspray and shampoo/​conditioners).
The salon also provides other services such as brow shaping and manicures! Pretty much could be your one stop salon ;P

The salon is always neat and clean, and make sure you see Brittan Carver for an amazing haircut she does an awesome job and is always patient when you want to change or add something to your style.

I decided to try out the salon as I had been unhappy with my hair for awhile now. I heard about it from my friend who goes to Erin, the nail technician and so I started to follow Uncaged on Instagram. I tried Estef based on a whim and saw that she had some great pictures on Instagram so I decided to try her out. I get really taken care of! I started with super long hair and did a full balayage so overall my hair took 4 hours!!! It was great customer service and overall I trusted Estef to work her magic. I loved my hair so much I took my mom to get her hair done and she is IN LOVE. Mind you, my mom is never happy with her hair. Honestly Estef, you did a great job and you’re so personable! I found my new hair salon :)

I am definitely someone who has to be eased into making changes in my physical appearance. My past experiences with other stylists have left me feeling wary about cutting my hair. When I met Audra, she understood my apprehension and takes the time to talk with me about my expectations. Now I don’t let anyone else touch my hair. She has taken me from my stick straight hair to permed luscious curls, black brown to blonde, and now purple, all while still maintaining the overall health of my hair.
The new salon itself is gorgeous. I was immediately impressed with the large windows, which make coloring by natural light so much easier. Any time I stop by, I am welcomed by the warm staff and offered something to drink.

I’ve been seeing Audra to get a haircut for years now and walk away happy every single time. I can’t imagine having anyone else cut my hair, see you in two weeks!

I called in last minute to get a wax and was able to get an appointment with Sherena. She was so incredibly sweet and did an amazing job. I will definitely be back to see her!

The staff at the salon is amazing! I was in from out of town and Jordan gave me a fresh hair cut and lashes extentions, I also got a beautiful mani and pedi from Erin! The salon is trendy, the staff is personable. I joked about moving just to be close to the salon! Thanks ladies for a great experience!

Sherena Branch Traxler Jarvi is a wonderful Esthetician who has helped me with improving my skin. She is well versed in the best quality products and knows how to best take care of your individual needs. I am hooked on her facials and I also use some of her recommended products to help with my age spots which through treatment and my care with great products at home has had me so happy with my results.
I find myself being asked what I am doing with my skin, and I am happy to recommend Sherena.
The Uncaged Salon, is modern and clean, but NOT over priced.
Highly recommend Sherena.

Came into this store because of all the reviews I have been reading in my area. First person to greet me was Charlie. He said he was new but I wanted to see what he could do anyways. It was my first time there so thought I would try anyone. Boy ohhh boy what an amazing job he did. He was able to take my old style and change it up to something a little more modern. I love it and will for sure be coming back to him.

I’ve lived in Costa Mesa for about 6 years and have had to drive a minimum of 20 miles to get the right treatment when it comes to grooming my hair, beard and facial skin.
I decided to give «Uncaged» a try after hearing the big hype about the new barbers in town. And I have one thing to say, THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!
I was welcomed and introduced to Charlie, a very well prepped younger gentlemen with immaculate communication and customer service skills. We discussed my plans for a BEARD TRIM & LINEUP as well as a light FADE on the hair with additional of TEXTURE on top.
I was also introduced to Mike who’s the new WOMEN HAIR STYLIST in the salon, whom also greeted me kindly and chitchatted with me while I was getting prepped for the service. I watched him do wonders with this young girl’s long curls. What they do is a real rare talent.
35 minutes later …
After getting caught up in the authentic humorous convos of barber shops that left me laughing hard, I look in the mirror once Charlie was done and I saw my hair and beard looking better than they’ve ever have. Upon my approval of the CUT, TRIM and LINEUP, I was then sat down for a WASH and SCRUB and finally some jell and aftershave.
A great sense of relief and happiness took over and my confidence in myself and with the service was spot on.
The salon is really clean and professional with a good hint of that «fun» and «enjoyable» atmosphere.
If you want the best, then you have to check them out.

I have been coming to Audra for years and now I have the best of both worlds… Awesome service and now a BEAUTIFUL Salon to relax in. Im a working Mom, so I love to check out for a couple hours here and treat it like a little retreat away b
Yvonne has done my nails and I can say she has done the best gel manicure I have ever had! She gets it smooth, close to the cuticle and it lasted longer than any other gel I have had.
Jordan does fabulous eyelashes too!
DONT Second question yourself about coming here, I have sent over 5 people to Audra and you won’t go anywhere else.

Estefanie is the best! First time coming to this salon.
Went in for root touch up/​partial highlights and I couldn’t be happier. She made sure I was comfortable and knew exactly what needed to be done. (My roots were horrible!)
She took the time to explain her process, and began very quickly. Shes down to earth, yet very professional with her work. I have found my go to stylist! Having naturally black hair can be very difficult when I want some blonde but she pulled it off nicely! Overall, very nice salon! Highly recommended :)

Omg. I’m usually cheap and I’ll go to those Vietnamese nail salons. But I thought I’d splurge since I was going to Hawaii. I got a gel mani /​pedi. the salon is very nice and everything felt clean and new. Unlike the cheaper salons where you hope they listen, Erin was very conscientious about what i like. I’m crazy picky it’s my tiger mom’s fault.
Erin gives the best pedicures! Her foot massage puts me in another world. Awesome she likes fun colors and design I loved her suggestions.
Her bubbly personality and fun attitude makes the time fly. They also lasted me 6 days in and out if the water and hiking up the side of a waterfall, I’m not very gentle or lady like. Ha ha I channel my inner Tarzan leaving behind Jane. I’ll definitely be back. It was worth the money for sure! I had a work event right when I got home and my nails still looked great!

YES YES YES! Hair, skin & nails in one place = godsend. So far: fun nails by Erin, vibrant, rich color by Jordan & I have an an appointment set to try skincare with the esthetician on site; Sherena! This could very well become my second home! Lively atmoshpere with friendly, inviting staff, where else would I go?

Amazing foot rubs and quality clean nails. I highly recommend. The service is outstanding. If you are pregnant or your feet need some love the Scrub & Rub is amazing or you can add extra foot massage time to any pedicure. Erin’s foot rubs are better then any massage/​spa I have ever been too. Call to make appointment as this hidden gem will so be booked up!

I went here because I’ve been following my hair stylist Bruce for 6+ years now because I trust no one else to cut my stubborn Asian hair! I drive all the way from LA just to see him every time! I wanted something completely new, I so I went for a blunt, texturized medium hair cut and he gave me just that! I didn’t go home thinking it was too short and «I’ll get used to it eventually» nope! It was perfect just the way I wantedit. It was my first time visiting uncaged salon too and I was pleasantly surprised everyone was super nice and the atmosphere has a urban feel with a TON of natural light! 5 stars for sure! If you go def ask for Bruce!!:)

Audra Audra Audra!!! I cannot express how thankful I am for her! She is beautiful and fun and it’s a pleasure to spend hours in her chair as she works her magic. She’s meticulous, she listens and the end result is always perfect!!!
I have dark brown hair and wanted highlights that were blended and bright but not brassy or orange or that dark/​bleach contrast.
I Tried a girl a couple years ago on my long Virgin hair and she didn’t do such a fab job, 2 more attempts and I still wasn’t happy.
My momma goes to Audra and recommended me trying her. Well I am forever thankful. My color and cut looks amazing every time!!! So if you have dark hair and want to have some blonde, she’s just the girl you need! She’s the only little lady that will be touching my locks from now on!
Her new salon is incredible!!! It’s beautiful. She didn’t miss a detail. My commute is a little far considering I live in Charlotte NC but if you live in Orange County get your heinie to her salon, you and your locks will forever be grateful!!! A blonde just left the chair next to me and her hair was beautiful too!
