This is always a must stop during trips to Cottonwood, and recently was no different. It is tucked away in a little alley on the old town strip. Both times we went, Timmy was working and he was amiable, and enthusiastic about the wines without being over the top. He was relaxed and chill which is what we like. The tasting room, although small, is gorgeous and comfortable. We truly love going there and spending an hour or so. The wines are good, too, although, they changed the wines up a bit, this go around. No matter since still tasty. This last time, we also had the tasting included with a Living Social deal we bought. It came with a glass which I pretty excited about. This tasting room is also open until 7 pm which is later than most of the tasting rooms in Cottonwood. They also recently opened another location in Jerome which is approx 20 minutes away.

I was not a wine fan until I took a flight of 6 wines at the Wine Cellar. This hidden little gem on main street was an incredible experience. My wife and I were recommended to the Wine Cellar by Karen, the innkeeper at the Cottonwood Hotel and we were not disappointed at all. Arriving at the Wine Cellar 15 minutes before they closed, my wife and I offered to return another day, but the manager encouraged us to sit and stay for a wine flight. We opted for the 6 wine flight, and was I glad we did! While all of the wines were amazing, my favorite was the barbera, a locally grown and harvested grape. The real kicker in my first wine tasting was the knowledge I walked away with. The manager took the time to show my wife and I how to properly assess wine by sight, smell, and taste. Now, remember we walked in 15 minutes before the Wine Cellar closed, and we ended up walking out more than 1.5 hours later. We never felt rushed, and the manager took the time to educate us about wine, about wine making, and life in general. For me and my wife, experience goes incredibly far when we rate places; there is more to a place than just food(or in this case, wine). The Wine Cellar did not disappoint and exceeded any expectations I could hope for. I can honestly say that I am more educated on wine having left the Wine Cellar, and excited to try more wines in the future. When in Cottonwood, make this wine tasting gem a must see place!

This place is pretty awesome. They have excellent service and knowledgable wine expert to help you decide what to try. Of all the wineries I visited on my recent trip to Cottonwood, this one had the best wine and the best décor. The bar is crafted out of old wine barrels and bathrooms are hidden behind secret doors. You feel like you’re in an old movie when you’re in their tasting room. Go here and drink an be merry!

I’m a big fan of trying wines that are made in Arizona. The wine makers here have a unique flare and flavor, and I just love them. That being said, the wines offered at the Wine Cellar in Cottonwood, AZ are some of the best I’ve had in this area. Not only are the wines completely delicious, but the tasting room offers a great atmosphere where people can relax and enjoy. Definitely make sure you swing by this location for a tasting and an enjoyable afternoon.

The newest tasting room in Old Town Cottonwood. This place was pretty cool. The guys there were friendly and knowledgeable. Its not as new and sleek as the other places in town but I liked that it had a sort of had an old timey speakeasy vibe to it. I was very happy that they actually offered palate cleaners(crackers and almonds) unlike the other tasting rooms we went to that day. I think this is really important to be able to evaluate each wine independently. These guys really take their wine seriously! When we went in they were doing tastings of Dionysian Cellars wines. Their winery is in AZ but the grapes are all from California. Their stuff was pretty good.
