Went here for the first time yesterday on the recommendation of a friend. I have lived in Covina 11 years and never been here. I ordered huevos rancheros with flour tortillas. My tortillas had green mold on them. I brought it to the attention of a young man working there. An older man who appeared to be owner came out and gave me fresh tortillas which he assured me were just out of a fresh bag. He also commented how they shouldn’t have been like that but offered nothing other than the new tortillas. Attempted to eat the huevos rancheros but the sauce on top was very watery and bland. I threw the hardly eaten food away and went to the register to get a refill on my drink before leaving. While the cashier is refilling my drink, I can see the young man I first made the complaint to in the kitchen emptying cans of jalapeños and carrots into a container while at the same time eating a few. First and last time eating here.

I have been dining here for a while one of the best places for carne asada. We recently tried their menudo. It was very tasty and we were served a good portion. I would have enjoyed it better if the tripe was cut in smaller pieces. It made for a very chewable experience. The also ran out of my favorite drink the Orange bang, I guess it was everyone else’s favorite too.

For $ 6.00 you get a a fourth of a cup carne asada on a humongous flour tortilla I asked the guy to add some meat and he showed me this tiny spoon that measures the meat! Never will go back to this place next time I will buy a pound of meat make my own burrito, and if the owner is there forget it he gives you less meat!!!

Outstanding tacos. Very pleasant and friendly staff. $ 1.99 tacos are the bomb. Can’t beat them and can’t get this quality from a fast food chain!

I have been a customer for over ten years and it has always been delicious. Their carne asada is simply the best in the area and their burritos are just as delicious if you eat them right away or save them for later(something not common in food). I must say that I can only go a couple of days without craving one of those burritos. I highly recommend this or their other location in Baldwin Park. From their burritos to their tortas you will not be disappointed as it always tastes fresh!!!

Where do I start? The staff was unpleasant and rude. The food was horrible, quality and freshness of food was horrible. My wet burrito was dryer than the sahara desert. Im gonna need to go to the dentist after eating their burnt rock hard chips. Way overpriced plus the staff has some weird fetish about putting lids on the self serve salsa’s… Thats if you beg them enough to give you cups to put it in. I spent over $ 20 on two things and i was lucky to get four little containers. Why is this place not out of business! Will never be back here and i advise you all to do the same.

Please don’t call your dried up harder then a rock fish… Ensenada style fish. My fish tacos were horrible and definitely not worth $ 2.35. Not even worth .02 cents. Never knew this place was here, but my brother swears that I’ve been there with him. The answer is «NOPE» I doubt I will ever be back. Although the burrito(small in size for over $ 8.) it was decent, there was nothing spectacular about it. Gotta drown it in their sauces to get some flavor. The chips are like those little flat rocks you throw across the water, so be careful you don’t break your teeth on them. Nothing good at all about the stingy 8 little chips on my plate. The cashier was young polite and did her best to work with patrons that worked there. Definitely five stars for her. The only downfall I saw when I was eating there was the cashier was working in the back. A customer came up, and the cook yells, «CASHIER.» Helloooo… your cashier has a name. «USEIT… DON’T BESORUDE.» I felt bad for the cashier that has to deal with this crap. Cooks are friendly to the regulars, but couldn’t care less about the newbees… On a positive note, their condiments aren’t bad… especially the hot sauce.

Been coming to this location and the Baldwin Park one for some time now. From my understanding the owner(father) runs the Baldwin Park one and the son runs the Covina location. Both are good and are the same — consistent with food/menu, etc. Grabbed lunch from here last week, as I use to stop here for lunch all the time when I worked closer. I usually get a their Chile Relleno and Asada burrito as it is good in size, taste great, and sure in the heck fills you up with both selections in the same burrito. This time around I went with a Taco Plate which had two hard-shell tacos accompanied with rice and beans. The plate is priced right, tacos were good and the rice and beans were not bad as well. I think I should have got a third taco on the side because I was a bit hungry still, although, should be fine for others. This place is small in size, has about 6 to 8 tables inside, gets a bit busy during lunch time but they do a good job and get your food out quick. The cool part about this place is they have a open bar for salsa and toppings of your food. Which to add, when you order a burrito — they call your name/order number and provide you with your burrito UNWRAPPED so you can choose what you like to go inside. Once your added all your goodies, you give it back and they wrap it up for you. It does not take long — so no your burrito does not get cold — I thought this was a cool concept. They have orange bang — and give free refills! lol

I ordered 4 carne asada tacos which happened to be good. I wasn’t too happy that I had to wait a total of 22 minutes for my order to be done. It was not busy at all, there should be no excuses. I work in fast food and didn’t appreciate the long wait. The tables were somewhat sticky and the floor was a mess. Regardless of the food being good-I wont be coming back.

Very good carne asada tacos and burritos which have been consistently good quality and flavor over the last 22 years I have been eating at this location. The bean, rice, and cheese burrito is also amazing. Love the salsa choices.

I come here for lunch quite often, I have tried their carne asada burritos, tortas, and I love their grilled chicken salad. They are awfully stingy with their salsas, they give you containers to fill to be sure that we don’t take too many. I usually call in my order to speed things up.

This place is a gem! Lil Mexican stand filled with great finds. Honestly, just try your favorite Mexican dish here. I guarantee you’ll be blown away. Trust. Meats are great. Great taste. Cooked through. Perfect portions. Beans are good too. Pinto. Little chunky vs. creamy. Chips/shells are crisp. Not a greasy oily soggy limp excuse for a crunch factor. We speak real here. They hold my favorite salsa bar in town. I’ve personally seen this guy around town up & out early buying fresh produce. All varieties: Pico, mild, hot, green, red, jalapenos/carrots, avo/guac sauce. It’s do it yourself. Order a burrito, they give it to you to fill with your fav combo of heat, then at the end of the salsa bar, they’re there waiting to wrap it up for you. Awesome! Daily specials include a discounted rate and a drink. Orange Bang & Horchata are on deck to quench your thirst. They also do a frequent buyer card. After nine $ 4.99 visits, your 10th meal is free. That’s awesome. I don’t know a single Mexican joint doing this. And finally, may be the best perk here, there’s a Pac-Man arcade in the corner!!! Tip: I got to highly recommend the nachos.

Simple, good Mexican food at reasonable prices. Menudo is actually very good. Low key place you can run in and grab some tasty tacos or breakfast burritos.

It was my first time here. My friend recommended it and I was all for trying a new place to eat. I tried the fish taco and carne asada taco. The carne asada taco was great. And you get to pick you own topping and sauce at the front counter. The fish taco was good, but was a little overdone. Overall, it was a good experience and I would go back there.

This is my weekend spot just because of the… Wait for it… MENUDOBAMBOOMPOW! Manny the owner is always a pleasant person very personable. May I say that the guy has the BESTMENUDO I have ever tasted. Not lacking on meat and for the price you get a great deal. I think I drink too much on Friday or Saturday just to have my Taco Ready Menudo.

My family and I love taco ready and have been coming for years. Carne asada burrito w added avocado? Yummy! Tortas are great, and I love me some special nachos w carne asada. We have also ordered from their catering and have always been satisfied. I just recently tried their tamales during the holidays and thought they were worth ordering again. Too bad the holidays are over as tamales are seasonal. I think their pricing for the food quantity and quality is appropriate.

Every time i come to this place, i regret it. Its not really the food, as much as the attitudes of the cook, and the cashier. I’m no longer going to eat here. They act like sarcastic jerks. Rather eat my mexican food at Taco Bell! That’s pretty bad. They don’t really seem to care about their customers. In these times with our economy as bad as it is? They should be more friendly, greet the customers with common courtesy. Not smirky, stupid attitudes.

The langua tacos are the best in the area! I have been coming here for 13 years and their quality is always good… For fast food… However… The attitude of the employees and the owner is always cold and unfriendly. Today I stopped by for the two for One fish tacos, as advertised on their window, but the sale ended last month and they did not stand by their advertisement! I’m not a happy camper!
