Wow employees use handicapped parking space. And one had fuzzy bedroom slippers on. Wonder if the owner has ever been to the store.

The locals refer to this store as «The Jackson Lake Walmart» because, out here in the boonies, there is no other place to get a reasonably priced jug of milk, loaf of bread, or stick of butter. Thankfully, Dollar General recognized the area’s desperate need and swooped right in to save the day. The parking lot is usually full and there is always a line at the cash register. I try to err on the side of caution when it comes to eating food from a dollar store since you never know how long things have been sitting on the shelves. But here, I have no problem. I would guess just about everything in the store is rotated out in about a week’s time. It’s not uncommon to have to walk around boxes in the isles because the staff can’t restock fast enough to keep up with demand. This store has just about everything you need for a weekend at the lake or a last minute item forgotten at the grocery store or the real Walmart. They even have ice and propane out front. Yep, I’m a fan!
