They were doing a driveway nearby and offered me a low price. You get what you pay for.
They dug up my driveway and repaved it. They left two problems. One is that the hole they put in the asphalt for my gate does not align with the gate’s pole. I have had to bend the pole to get it in. Pretty simple to get this right!
The second is that the driveway now has two big puddles that form whenever there is water. These freeze in winter making my driveway more hazardous than before. It seems they did not let the drive settle before paving it so it is uneven. They had a hose and running water and could have seen this. They rushed this job too much.
When I called to address these issues the woman on the phone heard my complaint and said, «I will see if they will call you back.» They never did.

If any business I’ve reviewed has ever deserved ZERO stars, this one is it. I cannot strongly enough suggest to other Unilocalers to avoid this business AT ALL COSTS!!! I tried to engage these people, on behalf of my 82 year-​old father, to get an estimate on paving his dirt driveway. After playing a bit of phone tag with them, I spoke with a very pleasant woman who told me that the estimators would come to look at the work that coming Saturday… at 8PM… in the dark.
I asked how they could possibly provide an accurate quote if they’re doing the evaluation in the dark and was assured «oh, they do that all the time.» I said I wasn’t comfortable with that and asked about having someone come out another day and during daylight hours. When I realized we weren’t going to get any time that cooperated with my schedule, I spoke with my father and suggested he talk to Beausoleil Paving directly and that I would try to coordinate with him/​them as best as I could. I called Beausoleil back, let them know my father would be calling directly, and asked FIRMLY but politely that they NOT try to convince him to take a nighttime appointment.
My father called me back later that day to say it was all set… the estimator was coming at 8PM that coming Saturday… GRRRRR…
Realizing that getting through to these people and making them understand this wasn’t a good idea just wasn’t going to happen, I said «fine» and decided to make the trip down to my father’s house that coming Saturday.
That coming Saturday we waited… and waited… and waited. The estimator NEVER showed up and never called. I was enraged that disgusted. I can’t believe this is how these people would treat ANY customer, let alone an 82 year-​old man.
We called back the following Monday and were given a song and dance about how the estimator was running late and… blah, blah, blah. I asked if they felt that was a valid excuse for NOT CALLING (!!!). It was a waste of time…
The company talks about being in business for over 45 years, but I have NO IDEA how that could be the case if this is how they treat their customers. What a terrible experience. If you’re in the RI area and want to have some paving work done, go to someone else.

BUYER BEWARE, This contractor provided me a price for a job, and on the day they were scheduled to complete the project they owner showed up and claimed that the price he gave me was to low and the true cost would be 3X the price they provided. The owner would not honor his original quoted price and did not honor the contract the company mailed me to sign and return. If you want to do business with a dishonest company this is the guy for you. I would caution if they pull stunts like this, what else will they try.

Can’t say enough good things about Lee and Jen. They were such a pleasure to work with. So professional and responsive. I got an appointment right off the bat for an estimate and then in no time at all they came to do our driveway and put in a french drain to solve a water runoff problem. It looks terrific and they were so organized and experienced. We couldn’t have been happier. Very positive people with great energy. Live up to their name «beautiful sun»!

We have a 2,500 Sq. Ft. driveway with a steep incline and drainage issues. They responded quickly to our request for quote. Lee is a nice nice guy. He’s been in the business for years, explained options clearly, made well received suggestions for getting good quality results at reasonable prices. He and his crew arrived on time, they worked well together and did high quality work. Lee nd his crew clearly took pride in their work and they are also fast! I don’t make recomendations often. These guys exceeded my expectation. The results look great and I’m happy to share our positive experience. They deserve it.
