We have been here several times and have never been disappointed. We went last night with a group of 6 people and everyone was impressed. It’s not a place to go if you’re in a rush, but if you have time to enjoy your meal this is a place to try. Will definitely be back to this hidden neighborhood gem.

This is my favorite restaurant! I have never had a meal I didn’t like. I crave their food. Really good seafood dishes and always something new on the specials board. It’s also BYOB which is awesome!

Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in such a long time! Amazing food and service in a relaxing atmosphere. Perfect place for a date or group of friends! Shared a glass of our BYOB wine with our server and they made a specialized dessert, not on the menu, catered to my friends allergies and our likes! This place is amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem right outside Pawtuxet Village! It’s a great BYOB and I typically come once a week. They have a great variety of items on their menu from wings and mussels to steak sandwiches, pizzas and spaghetti with clams or meatballs. Guy Fieri has been here and this restaurant has become known for their mussels. The portion is large enough to be a full meal and the mussels are very tasty! I am such a lover of the veggie burger it has become my go to! With Brie cheese and a fruity chutney it is perfection! The girls are very friendly and attentive. While you may wait a bit for a table, ask them to pop open your wine and you can have a drink while you wait. Do NOT leave without tasting the mud pie! Hands down the best I’ve ever had. It’s a great way to end a great meal. I have never had a disappointing meal. It’s a great way to go out, save on some alcohol by bringing your own cocktails and enjoy some delicious food!

Took my wife for her bday. Ordered the baked brie, salmon and flat iron steak and brought a bottle of wine. Service was very nice and food was above average. Nothing knocked our socks off but a great simple neighborhood place with good food. Prices fairly high but not outrageous. You could tell most people were regulars.

My favorite thing about Edgewood Café is how consistently delicious their food is every time. They have really fantastic burgers both meat and veggie options have been great. The grilled pizzas are perfect for an appetizer or for take out. Their fresh specials are as good as you will find anywhere. A favorite of mine is a chicken, white wine, butter and sundried tomato pasta dish that is just as solid every time I order it! It’s also BYOB which works out great in our house after a busy day when you want a home-cooked meal but don’t feel like actually cooking it yourself … We just grab a bottle of our favorite wine and head to Edgewood Café!

Another 5 star plus dining experience. This place how to perfectly season and cook their dinners! My friend and I started off by sharing a crisp Caesar salad. It was very large and fed both of us easily. The two of us both craved the flat iron steak and we weren’t disappointed. Succulent is the word that comes to mind. Topped with just the right amount of caramelized onions and Gorgonzola, you can tell they use high quality cuts and ingredients. The sides of red roasted potatoes and green beans were yummy. Dessert was peaches and cream and bananas Mondale. We were quite full and very satisfied when we left. This is fine dining for the taste buds. Remember folks– avoid chains and come to places like this.

We split a large spinach salad with chicken and an appetizer of garlic fries. Pros: Good service, fine décor, well-mannered patrons, pleasant outdoor seating, good-sized portions Cons: not for foodies of any stripe. If your tastebuds are still working, you will be severely underwhelmed with the bland combination of Sysco-inspired ingredients, prices that imply a slightly better product note: the place was hopping with people who like coming here, but we won’t be back.

This is a Public service Announcement — Stay Away!!! With all the fine dining options in this city it is truly hard to understand all the good to average ratings this place has on Unilocal & the DDD approval. My only guess is that thhe previous owner sold it after the Food Network popularity. On to the food: I started with the calameri. It was a nice idea, imagine a calamari bruschetta. However, the pool of balsamic vinegar killed the palette and any chance of tasting the chewy calamari. For my auntree I got the garlic fries and mussles for my own moules frites. The mussels were FISHY — Yuk! Horrible! Couldn’t have more than 2 bites. The garlic fries were frozen with raw crushed garlic on top. At least the garlic was fresh. My husband got the Medditeranean pasta that was lackluster. Imagine a box of Barilla, some flavorless chicken breast, canned tomatoes and olives, and some capers with a garlic wine sauce. The best part of our meal was the wine I brought to this BYOB establishment.

This place was terrible. I went with my wife and ordered the Mediterranean chicken and the calamari. Calamari was covered in balsamic vinegar and was soggy. The Mediterranean chicken was the equivalent of boiling prince spaghetti and covering it with tons of olive oil and then opening a can of pre sliced pastene sliced Ives and red peppers and just piling everything together. Meal was expensive. Total disappointment. The best thing was the wine but seeing as though it is a byob, that tells you what you need to know. One Nice thing: Lady with the glasses was friendly

For those Unilocalers who prefer reviews that are just quick snapshots, my main complaints about my experience here tonight are: no flavor, no texture, no seasoning, and very poor value for your money. For those who fancy a more detailed review, here you go… What a waste of FORTYFIVE dollars for just two take out entrees. I did everything I could to try to convince myself that I liked the food because I spent so much money on it, but it was one of the worst meals I have had in months. I have been eyeing Edgewood and its specials on Facebook for months, but due to the prices we had to save up in order to try it. Ordered take out tonight, and while the friendliness and service we were given was great, the food was SOINCREDIBLYDISAPPOINTING. I ordered a special that was described to me over the phone as miso glazed tuna with rice and vegetables. What I received was a beige, flavorless mush. Beyond 7 slices of green onion sprinkled on top of the tuna, this was completely colorless and unappetizing to the eye. The sesame seeds on the tuna, which should have added a nice nutty flavor, had absolutely no toast or color to them. The tuna within was dry and severely under seasoned. The rice was mushy, and the«vegetables» in the dish consisted of about 4 slivers of green squash, 10 bean sprouts, and a smattering of mushroom slices mixed into the rice. There was virtually no texture in the rice, and again the flavor profile was incredibly weak. I was craving acidity and umami, but even the This dinner was so unsatisfying that I barely ate ¼ of the meal, and I LOVE to eat. Oh, and to add insult to injury, when I went to pay the bill I discovered that it was $ 40+ for a $ 15 order of Chicken Parmesan plus my entrée. That means TWENTYFIVE godforsaken dollars for my meal. Unconscionable. My bf had the Chicken Parmesan and said that he could have gotten a version twice as good for half the price from Vivaldi’s or Papa Gino’s. Yikes…

We live close by and this is how we found out about this place. This is a must-go place. Their food and service are great. If you have not been there before, try their garlic fries. The portion is large enough for two. For meal wise, I love their salmon. The reason I give four stars is because I don’t see many other items I would like to try on their menu. But I do love the garlic fries and the salmon dish and that is why we always go back their.:) Plus, It is a BYOB place, you can bring your own wine with you to enjoy delicious meals.

Saw this place on tv so wanted to give it a try. The place looked very different then it did on tv. I wish it was a little brighter. At 5pm they had the lights so dim it was hard to concentrate on what I was eating. We ordered the lobster ravioli and even though it was delicious the portion was very small and the ravioli itself was tiny too. The personalized pizza was delicious and can’t forget the delicious and filling mussels. The staff were friendly and accommodating except I didn’t like how their«special» menu is in the front right side of the room where it’s hard to read. I didn’t bother reading it because from where we were sitting because we couldn’t see. And all the waitress said was the specials are on the board right there… umm there were only 5 specials on the board it would be nice if they read it to us since not every table has a clear view. Overall this place looks like a neighborhood favorite. A lot of the people that walked in seemed like they go there often and the waitress knew them. The food was good but I don’t think I will go back there. It wasn’t appealing to me maybe it was the dark room. Great place worth giving it a try.

What a find! All the best rolled into one tiny amazing food experience! Edgewood café may be small but is BURSTING with; charm, casual friendly service, and AMAZING food! My mouth waters just remembering our meal! I have eaten here quite a few times and have never had anything but the best in all categories. Did I mention it is a BYOB? How can it get any better than that! I love the casualness of Edgewood, you can come eat a fabulous meal in your most comfy jeans and T shirt(like you were at home) and not feel out of place. For appetizers we had the fried oysters and mussels steamed in white wine and garlic, and olive oil, soooo good. For dinners my husband and I both opted for specials of the day, I had the stuffed butternut squash ravioli with chicken and creamy garlic sauce, my husband had a Tai steak. The steak was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of heat. My ravioli had chunks of butternut mixed in with garlic, cream, buttery goodness and boneless chicken breast… so much for my New Years resolution to eat healthy! But I must say it was worth the cheat! Edgewood is small and does fill up quickly! My advice is make it s date night, eat early then go to a movie.

Yum yum. Love it here, never disappointed. Great staff and guests. BYOB is also great and they have lovely specials. The flavors are lovely and I’ve always been happy with my orders, from pasta to chicken and mussels. It fills up fast so be warned, you’ll likely need to wait. The space is small and it provides a nice setting for a party of 4 at max. Also a great place for a date. Plus it’s in the Edgewood part of Cranston which is charming. You’d be a fool not to drive a mile down the street to experience Pawtuxet Village(think annual gaspee day parade) after or before dinner at this spot. A great spot on the water where they have a nice cluster of restaurants and bars.

Edgewood Café is a great neighborhood restaurant, the kind of place«where everybody knows your name.» Other pluses are that it’s BYOB(Edgewood Liquor Store is right nearby), they have both standard American fare and vegan options, and their specials are outstanding. Some of my favorites are the salmon off the menu and the special ittle neck, corn, tomato, and chorizo, which is served over pasta. Lucky to have this gem in the neighborhood and worth the trip for others

Been here a couple times for dinner, and we’ve also ordered take out once. Not sure why everyone is so in love with this place. It’s a nice spot and the service was definitely good, but I thought the food was kind of lackluster. Both times we dined in, my wife and I both wound up ordering from the specials. Not because they sounded so good but because nothing on the menu really seemed all that interesting. Our meals weren’t bad but notHing special. I would recommend this place if your in the area and looking for a fairly cheap good meal, but if you’re looking to get your socks knocked off you may have to leave Edgewood. Ps… when we got take out we ordered some wings and were VERY disappointed to get frozen wing ding type wings. You expect them from a greasy local pizza joint but not a place that’s trying to call themselves fine dining.

I really should have reviewed earlier… but better late than never! I’ve gone here on dates, family meals, girls night, etc. It fits the bill for all, with their varied menu offering casual comfort foods and elevated specialties. BYOB is the perfect perk. My suggestions to try: –steak gorgonzola –chicken pesto pizza –NE clam chowder –bananas mondale. Recently I went for a girls night and one of my friends had a super restrictive diet due to an ulcer. The server was super accommodating, making sure to double check on ingredients with the chef. So happy that they were able to make it work, because she wants to come back for more :-)

I’ve lived 5 blocks from this place for two years and didn’t go until May. Don’t repeat my mistakes. It is a good, solid neighborhood restaurant with great service and excellent food. My only gripe, is that for neighborhood joint the prices of some dishes tend to be a bit high. Don’t get me wrong, the quality of the food and service is excellent but it’s not affordable enough for dinner every weekend.

Edgewood Café is a small, cozy neighborhood joint with a fantastic menu that ranges from a daily vegan special to succulent meats and beautiful personal pizzas. It’s also BYOB, which is music to this gals ears — reasonably priced food and a small corkage fee? A match made in heaven, for sure. I enjoyed a wonderful evening here with a friend, and was so pleased to see that Edgewood Café really is a neighborhood gathering place — the warm atmosphere and chill vibe make it feel like a home away from home. Over the course of our time there, the place filled up fast but the hustle and bustle never took away from the charming meal or private conversation we were having. I went big and took down the seared steak with gorgonzola sauce and caramelized onions — I hadn’t had meat in nearly a month, and this was well worth the wait. The meat was cooked perfectly — juicy, tasty and beautifully presented with hericots vert and sliced carrots. My companion’s vegan dish was out of this world — a red curry with delicate veggies that were velvety-smooth and flavorful. The rice it was served atop was nicely prepared, as well. We split an apple crisp dessert that reminded me of a childhood cereal and came with delicious vanilla ice cream that melted down into the dish. Everything was scrumptious, well-prepared and reasonably priced. The service was friendly, on-point and I really appreciated that, although we shut the place down, they were in no rush to get us out of there. Really cute neighborhood joint with a solid menu, great service and cozy atmosphere.

YAAAAY Edgewood Café! You are so very warm and inviting! The atmosphere reminds you of being in someone’s(more upscale) home, with wait service. The waitress was an absolute doll, and made sure everything was wonderful without being over-the-top. This place is BYOB, so make sure to stop at the liquor store, and if you forgot, do not fret, there is one right down the road! The corking fee is $ 2 per person which I find to be reasonable. The menu is not large but there is certainly something for everyone; price range included. You can opt for a burger, or pizza which are both budget friendly… or go all out with a steak or lobster. I ordered the Salmon that was served with roasted potatoes, and veggies. I believe it was around $ 18 and worth every cent — maybe more! Every bite was savory and delicious. I was able to try a small bite of the Lobster Ravioli and this too was good. The portion for the ravioli did not look large, but was definitely rich and filling. For desert, I ordered the brownie, only because I wanted something fast and sweet as I had places to be. I will be back, as I intend on trying EVERYTHING on the menu! A++++
