Best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to, has great food AND service. Haven’t had a good meal like that in a while and it was all home made. BOMB and hit the spot

The advertised«Free WiFi» doesn’t actually work(tried with multiple devices running Android, Windows, &Mac OS), they refused to attempt resetting the router when I asked and acknowledged that it doesn’t work for many people. If you are traveling and need to get work done online, go somewhere else. The fish tacos were flavorless.

Did not have a good experience. The waitress clearly didn’t want to be there and the food was horrible. All of our glassware was filthy, it just really came off as an unkept/neglected restaurant. Anywhere else in town is better, this is definitely Crescent City’s worst Mexican restaurant.

I throughly enjoyed this restaurant. I ordered an avocado tostado with rice and beans. The serving sizes were gigantic and all of the food tasted fresh and delicious! The chips with refried beans and salsa at the beginning of the meal was very tasty as well. The chips were crispy and tasted like they were freshly made, not out of a bag. I always love the bean dip and like the salsa at Mexican restarants, but I loved this salsa. It had a cilantro flavor to it and wasn’t too hot. The tostado shell was crispy and toppings, including the Avocado slices, were fresh and delicious. I believe everyone in my group chose to drink water and the staff kept our water pitchers full. That may not seem important to some, but it is a key thing in my family. Great job Toreros!

OK food, not great, but rude, abrupt, non-existent service. The hostess– owner seated us, walked away with no greeting. She returned 10 mins. later, took our order, no smile, very abrupt. When she brought our dinners, no smile, no «Enjoy your dinner,» etc. Dinner was OK. The cheese was flourescent orange, as bright as the overhead lighting. Our plates had barely hit the table and she was already walking away. We noticed other patrons had waited, no one taking their order, etc. Not once did anyone come by to ask how was our dinner. No music. We waited a long time, asked 2 different workers about getting our bill. They just walked away. The lady never came back. So we put cash down on the table and left. It was a weird, uncomfortably awkward experience. The OK food in no way made up for the weird, rude, experience.

It was pouring rain and the family was super hungry so we decided to stop at Toreros for a quick lunch. I have to say I was surprised by the service. It was VERY impressive. The food came in a timely matter. Was good not great. Prices were spot on. Over all a very good experience. Would recommend for a quick simple lunch with great service.

Went here on a work trip because we liked the ambiance and figured the food would be at least decent– what a pleasant surprise to have such a delicious meal!!! We had read all the Unilocal reviews and had already eaten at perlitas and la fiesta– toreros is at least on par if not better. The double enchiladas w salsa verde were on point and my coworkers can vouch for the garlic camarones and flautas. Plus, they are so nice– you can’t beat the service.

Outstanding! We came in close to closing and they treated us like gold. The waitress was very knowledgeable about their extensive menu, the salsa was beyond awesome, the tortilla soup is epic, the prices very reasonable, the décor is festive, the location is right on highway 101 — super convenient… Can you tell we loved it?!! If you find yourself in Crescent City this restaurant is a must«to do» on your vacation itinerary!

We initially passed on this place because of a weak overall rating. Fortunately we gave it another chance on our way through town two weeks later. Excellent food, great margarita, competent service and personable owners. Highly recommend it for your authentic Mexican food fix!

Food is delicious! However, the price is an average of $ 13+ per plate. Worth it, just ridiculous when you are used to 5 dollars a plate in LA. Nonetheless, understandable for a place up in NorCal. They have dollar taco Tuesday which is worth trying. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

So far it really is the worst Mexican food experience. You are better off going to Taco Bell.

Fantastic! I couldn’t rate this restaurant any higher for food quality, taste and quantity. This food brings back memories of my grandmothers and my mothers wonderful home cooked meals. Great atmosphere, great music and clean, with friendly at tentative staff.

Ummm NO! I don’t know if I am spoiled living close to Mexico but this was nothing to write home about. The only thing that was even close to bring good were the quesadillas. My children didn’t like anything they ordered which is a first for Mexican food and the guacamole was pretty much brown! Don’t even try it. It’s not worth the money, time, or wasted calories!

Torreros is my go to place in CC for yummy Mexican food. Their margaritas are amazing and I love the flautas. Their waitresses and the owners are the sweetest and always put a smile on my face. They are so accommodating and always go above and beyond.

Toreros is a local family owned restaurant. This is a place to bring the family for decent Mexican food and drinks. Tuesday night is Taco Tuesday, be advised, it is held in the bar. There are areas for families to sit, but it is still in the bar area. I’ve read reviews about how bad the food is and I completely disagree. The food is above average for Northern CA-Southern OR Mexican food. Yes they do have music and dancing on Friday and Saturday nights, never had a problem there but things have happened. The owners are just trying to provide a nighttime service, they can’t be blamed if idiots show up and start trouble. Simple solution, dress code-all guys must wear a shirt with a collar and no sports team clothing, that will cut down on the rif raf. My favorite here is the Chile Colorado by far. They do have catering for parties or functions and it is always amazing!

The food was bad, indigestible. The Carnitas that are usually juicy and full of flavor, here they were drier than the Nevada desert we just came from. Our little one, who is somewhat of a connoisseur, left the Tamales on the plate nearly unscathed. The vegan in our party waited half an hour for a meager salad comprised of a piece of lettuce and cucumber. But the unsavory food was just the appetizer for the real drama this eatery still had for us in store!!! When we were just about to leave the restaurant the OWNER, A beautiful tall aging women, approached us unceremoniously asking: Owner: «Did you have a glass of water?». Me: «yes we drank water» Owner: «so open you bag I need to search it!» Me; shockingly opening my bag Owner: «Where are the glasses you took» Me; «What are you talking about???» Owner; «The waitress told me that you took glasses from here. So I need to check your bag». When no glasses were found in the bag, the owner left the scene without a word of apology, leaving us in a state of shock and disbelief. Never had we have such a terrible experience. Not only the food was terrible, the owner’s behavior was utterly offensive and unprofessional. Lo to the poor waitresses working there! Why would a waitress conjure up such an alleged story lest she is terrorized by her boss… Terrible place, terrible food. Sorry, this one is below a rating scale.
