Retrocentric

This place was a blast. They focus solely on you and it’s only females. The pictures they provide are very nice, and the sets are also very unique and real. The clothing selection is nice and is accommodating to many body sizes. If something is too big they can make it so it works. They’re also opening a salon soon and I’m pretty excited about that.

I’ve used Retrocentric twice — once for photographs, and once for make-​up for my wedding. Both experiences were fantastic.
You can get the general idea of the photography sessions from the other reviews, but I also used Sailor as the make-​up artist for myself and my bridesmaids for my wedding in October. Sailor was great to work with, especially on such a chaotic day. She dealt with schedule changes, adding extra girls at the last minute, and even helped calm my hair after a not-​so-​great styling by someone else. She came prepared with a helper and all of the equipment she would need and even brought a bag of «emergency goodies» for me. She definitely went above and beyond — I couldn’t have asked for more.

Who doesn’t want to look like a pin up star?
As someone who hates getting my photo taken, I have no idea how I ended up scheduling a pin up photo session. Now I can say that I am so glad I did!
Getting hair and make-​up done while getting to choose from some fabulous retro fashions was a lot of fun. As someone who is not always a «girly» girl, I enjoyed the experience way more than I thought I would. The studio rotates sets seasonally, and there are a lot of to choose from. Also, the all-​female staff was so kind and encouraging. It put me at ease, something I appreciated since I was nervous prior to showing up.
After seeing a couple sneak peeks of my photos, I’m so incredibly happy.
