If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be their hummus and pita. We ate there three days in a row along with their ‘3rd bowl’. Everything was so good!!!

Loved all the vegan options! Good happy hour to hit up after the mountain. Really great local spot with super friendly staff and bar.

Outstanding food, pulled pork pita is incredible. Great bar and happy hour, easily the best in CB. This is a must every trip to Crested Butte, my third time to the area and hands down my favorite restaurant.

OVERALL: Pitas In Paradise is an awesome place to grab a delicious meal weather its lunch, «linner», dinner! They have a very laid back and relaxed atmosphere, they are accommodating when it comes to larger parties, and they have a variety of choices for the vegetarians and meat-lovers alike! For meat lovers, I suggest the Original Gyro. For vegans, I suggest the Thai Bowl and/or the Calcutta Bowl! PROS: Its a pretty casual place, so theres to need to feel like you need to dress up. *I often go here after a long hike(in the summer) or a good days worth of snowboarding(in the winter obviously!) They are good at being accommodating to various dietary needs and desires as well. Although its a casual place, they do provide a full waiter/waitressing service! And finally, their food is at a decent price and you get a fair amount of food! CONS: It can be very crowed at times. When this happens, the quality of service does decrease abit, but that is expected at any restaurant or other food establishment when they get busy. The only category of food that does not have a lot of choices is the soup. They pre-make it and keep it at a self-seve soup bar. Don’t get me wrong, the soups are delicious, but there is not a lot a variety. NOTES: I don’t think they take reservations. They do not have their own parking so find parking on Elk Avenue(the main street in town) or one of the adjacent streets. They are in an optimum location for walking around and exploring downtown Crested Butte either before or after dining! They are at their third location within town, so some of the pictures are outdated. *Although I am not a local to Crested Butte, I have been coming here during both the summers and winters since 2002.

We enjoyed the lamb sliders as an appetizer. I thought they tasted fresh, not gamey and the caramelized onions and tzaziki sauce on the Kings Hawaiian buns just made that dish. We also had Greek salads which were good. They have a soup bar where you can choose a soup with your salad. My husband chose a beef chili which was delicious. The staff was helpful, and came over to accommodate a guest who joined us, but let us enjoy our food and conversation without bothering us. We stayed for 2 hours! The restaurant has TV’s and a bar as well as table seating.

Tender lamb! Amazing flavors! Fast service! We really enjoyed our dishes(the athens, the greek pasta salad and the OG) and our waitress was a real hoot. Great mountains views if you sit outside as well.

I had the 3 dish indian, I forget what it’s called… three different indian dishes that all tasted the same, bland with a hint of spice that was just annoying since there was no good flavor. The waitress was trying but obviously hated her job, I was never even asked if I wanted a drink. I won’t be back…

I had the most amazing pita ever… falafel pita with Greek pasta salad! A must have! The brewery of choice is Odell, an awesome brewery in Fort Collins. The white IPA was recommended and went well with lunch. The patio seating is nice but when the weather is nice, it’s full. Come at happy hour, enjoy the drinks and appetizers.

An accessible restaurant with an impressive looking soup bar. But I was in no mood for soup. I hankered lamb. Spiced and juicy lamb. Enter the Happy Hour OG(signature original gyro sandwich)! While it did not come with fries, the thinly sliced lamb was supposedly slow-roasted. It was tasty spiced with sautéed onion, lettuce, feta cheese minus the tomato. And messy tzatziki sauce, chunky yum with cucumbers, which, mixed with lamb juices and greases, spilled out of the pita on to shirts, faces, floors and seating areas. It was good. Packed with lamb. Napkins required. Patio seating out of doors as well. Great old building with color. The basket of fries were hearty. The iced tea did not taste fresh brewed. I recommend a visit here. You’ll be glad you did. I would like to try other things on the menu. Like the baba ganoush.

Pita’s nachos were solid! The tabbouleh was just ok– if you’re from a big city like me you prefer the more authentic style– finely chopped parsley and more lemon. Great service. Nice spot to sit outside on an evening.

The pita nachos were amazing!!! I can’t believe how many awesome flavors and textures we’re going on in one dish! Combine that with some good draft beer in mason jars and you have a perfect mountain town meal.

This place is so cool, they have local art all over the restaurant. The staff reminds me of someone that lives in Austin, and the food was great. I’m not usually a hummus fan but they make it perfectly. I’m starting to love this town

Pita’s USED to be amazing. I remember sneaking out for lunch in high school just to get fires. Went there during my most recent visit in there ‘newest’ location(where the Chinese place used to be — across from Company store). The service was great — she paid a tremendous amount of attention to us. However, the fires were cold, and special salt-less. My pita lacked the fillings it used to — I had to ask for more sauce and feta. From what I gathered the soup was the highlight of the entire meal(which I didn’t order). Really wish they would produce the same quality of food they used to in the early 2000s.

I have been a long time customer at Pitas since I began coming to Crested Butte 14 years ago. Clearly, there must of been yet another change in management because the wait staff was incredibly stoned, rude, and unhelpful. I have some dietary issues such as being strictly gluten free and the waitress wasn’t understanding nor explanatory until after we ordered. I’m so upset at the service that my family and I received, I wouldn’t even think twice about going back. How sad that this place was once so great and has gone so downhill.

We were in town celebrating our anniversary, when we decided on a whim to try this place. The food was, for the most part, quite good. The soup and Pita Nachos were top notch. My gyro was yummy, despite the fact that the gyro meat was a little dry and overcooked. Service was great, and the location and patio seating are fantastic. We will definitely stop here again the next time we are in town.

The OG pita is delicious. The meat seems very fresh. They serve draft beer but your choices are a bit limited. Our meals were super cheap from 3−5pm happy hour. Our service was very fast, too. Yum!

We really like this restaurant and so it was our first stop when coming back to CB this summer. Another delicious meal for us on the patio. They have great happy hour specials, tasty kid meal options and the food overall is really good. We love their pitas, hummus, and curly fries. The wait staff was really busy so it was slower than usual. But otherwise was a super dinner!
