Except for the décor and staff, this restaurant is almost identical to it’s predecessor. There are a few new menu items, but other than that we are able to order the same great food as we did when another restaurant occupied this space. They had a little bit of a learning curve when they first opened, but things are run smoothly now and the service may even be a little faster than the previous restaurant. We recently took my mother-in-law there, and when the waitress heard her say she was on a special diet she went above and beyond to help her choose things that suited the diet. They even altered a menu item so she could get the required amount of food. This is one of the best places to eat in Crestview!

Food was good. Water tasted odd. Décor lacking. They brought my husband and 3 kids their food and didn’t bring me the sushi I ordered for about 20 minutes when everyone else was nearly done eating. They should plan to prepare, cook and deliver food around same time.

Tonight, I decided to give in to my cravings for sushi and try out Arirang. We got there early, but the place filled up quickly. Since it got busy so quickly, service was slowed down a little, but not to a point that was frustrating — rather, it was perfect for a leisurely dinner. The yakimandu was just right, the kim bap crisp, and the salads had a very nice dressing that left us wanting more. We both had the steak dinner. The best thing on the plate was the vegetables. The steak and fried rice were both decent, but nothing to write home about. We both agreed that we’d be likely to try a different entrée next time and that we’d have liked to try a Korean dish to see how the side dishes were. As I mentioned, though, I’d been craving sushi, and that’s where this meal shone. I only had one roll: the Arirang special 2. Each piece was a perfect bite of crunchy and soft textures all working together with an amazing blend of flavors. All in all, this was a great meal. My major regret in eating at Arirang was that I was far too full to eat more of my food.
