Westchester Trail Rides

I had a wonderful time riding Apache. Bob and his son Dylan were great instructors. They both made me feel relaxed and at ease. The price for a 1 hour trail ride is extremely reasonable and worth every penny. Can’t wait to go back!

There is seriously no one as sweet and amazing as Bob. He was so kind to me and my friends and is so clearly extremely passionate about what he does. It really resonates with you as a beginner rider and made me feel so comfortable with not only him as a leader but the horses as well. Apache was the sweetest horse and I cannot wait to get back out there. Thank you so much Bob!

My sister, my husband and I took a lovely ride last fall. It was fabulous! Bob’s horses are in great shape, and the tack is beautiful! If you rent and ride, you know the horses, saddles and other tack are usually sorry souls, dressed with ancient leather. Not so here. The ride though the hills is really wonderful. I’m taking my daughter this week!

I am really late writing this review but I have to gush over Bob and this experience. My three friends and I looked everywhere for horseback riding for a reasonable price for my best friend’s bachelorette party in October. Bob was the first one to call back with genuine customer service and a decent price. He gave me all the details I needed and was very patient with the fact that we had to make a group decision and even offered to hold the date until he heard back from us. Not a particular time but the WHOLE day. And once I told him what it was for, he promised an experience my best friend would never forget, and he was right.
We got to the address, a little hard to find, Bob came out to meet us with a smile. Most of my group is from Texas and his welcoming and open personality made us feel like we were home. He let the bride pick which horse she wanted first and then took his time letting us all meet our horses and get used to them in the paddock. We had all ridden before but it had been a while so the extra attention was a relief.
I can’t say enough about the trail ride. He took us out of his backyard onto the most stunning forest trail. Unlike most trail rides, he let us have a bit of free reign so we could ride next to each other and talk. He took the time to ride next to each of us and chat but he made sure to spend extra time with the bride and always checked she was having a good time. That meant more to us than anything. At the halfway point, he took us to a clearing he had found, high on the hill so you could look out over the Hudson Valley reservoir, which let me tell you is a breathtaking view. Then he took pictures of our group for us. It was the perfect day.
Once we got back we stuck around just to chat and then the bride got to pick some fresh eggs to take home and we all got horseshoes to remember the day. My only regret is that I didn’t write this review sooner. Bob’s place is smaller, only 4 horses available, but you can’t beat the experience.

Beautiful trails! The owner Bob is welcoming, very friendly. He even let us pick our fresh eggs! We had a blast riding the scenic trails. The barn is very clean and horses are lovely. Will def be back! Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing day horseback riding here! The owner, Bob, is extremely friendly and nice, and a great teacher and rider. He offered to pick us up from the train station and drop us off at a nearby brewery afterwards. It seemed more affordable and personable than other places I found online. We highly recommend!
