Aurelio’s Pizza

Been eating this pizza for years. Got a very bad one. Sloppy. Runny. Just gross. Called two days later to complain. Asked for manager. She sounded 19 years old. Proceeded to tell me that Aurelios has changed cheese suppliers! Whaaaaat! She said that they are trying to figure the ‘new cheese’ out. Whaaaaat! Further, she said they have been having oven issues. Whaaaaat! Well, that might be it for Aurelios for me. I will probably give them another chance because it’s been so good for so long; but if they’re changing the recipe and hoping customers don’t notice, that’s just bad. Also, not that I’m looking for a hand-​out, but this manager never offered to comp me. Not even a discount on a further purchase. Kind of unprofessional since she actually knew they were producing inferior pies that day. Say it ain’t so Joe!

yummmm. good food plenty of parking and friendly staff. and they have gluten free crust!

I love Aurelio’s and this location was no different
Fast friendly and when I asked if they sold ice (after explaining I was going back to Ohio) they filled my cooler for me for free. Love this place

Really odd experience here tonight —
Service: Waitress was one of the most flighty I’ve had in a while. We visited with another family, and first we all ordered drinks. Drinks came out, however big my wife and I were missing ours! We asked her and she couldn’t remember what we ordered, then when they finally came out she STILL mixed them up!
Then we ordered pizza, Asked for Sausage and pepperoni. The other family ordered mushroom and pepperoni. When the pizzas came out, they were both ½ and ½ with each topping!!! We were too confused to even bother commenting.
Then of course she forgot to split our bills. That turned into another confusing mess as it took two people to properly use a calculator to make this happen.
Food: amazing as always. Despite the goofy toppings everything here is always great, I can’t say any more.
Cleanliness: bathroom has kind of a weird smell, but the restaurant is clean and I have no worries eating here.
Oh, and holy Schneike they have a ½ pound cookie dough ice cream cookie thing for dessert???

There are few things as good as pizza. So on a Saturday afternoon pizza sounded delicious. Called aurelios after having so so experiences with this location in the past. Called at 3:22. Was told pizza would arrive 45 – 60 minutes. Sounded great. Problem was the pizza did not arrive until nearly 4:40, brought by a driver that refused to get out of his vehicle and was kind of a dufus. Came back into my house finally ready to enjoy pizza but it was very cold. Delicious but cold. Can’t say I am anything but disappointed. Will never return.

This is my all time favorite pizza from Northwest Indiana. I have never strayed away from ordering there thin crust pizza. Their sauaage really is good and their topping are exceptional. Last night I went with the Super 6 combination which has sausage, ham, pepperoni, onion, green pepper, and mushroom. Soo good!
I also ordered their tomatoe bread which is fantastic. It is garlic bread with bruschetta and tons of fresh provalone and mozzarella melted on top with fresh orefano on top. A definite must try!

The pizza was average at best. The service wasn’t horrible but below average. Eh.

I expect more from Aurelio’s. We went here after a day of shopping and having a huge craving for thin crust pizza. When we entered there was no one to greet us in the restaurant. The restaurant atmosphere and décor was dirty and not comforting, you didn’t get the feeling of wanting to sit and enjoy.
We sat at a table and waited for someone to come out to greet us and give us menus. I went to the bathroom and found both toilets clogged with dirty water and toilet paper. When I came out our waitress had finally appeared. She did some seem friendly or welcoming. I politely informed her of the issue in the bathroom so they could fix it. She said «oh» and walked away. Not «Thank you for telling us, we’ll get on it.» We ordered our pizza… After about 20 minutes I finally saw the bus boy go over to the bathrooms, he came out a short time later with a plunger that dripped across the seating area of the restaurant as he returned to the kitchen. I couldn’t believe what I saw and health codes immediately came to mind.
The pizza was as expected — but the feeling of being in a dirty restaurant made it taste not so great.

Mmm! The pizza sauce is the boss. If you get an appetizer, try the pizza bread its delicious. I got the thin pizza with sausage & garlic…

Our party of 5 was seated immediately at 5:30 pm on Friday evening. Service was good. Payment is taken at one central location which took over 10 minutes. Long line and a lot of carryout orders. This seems unacceptable. As for the food. Sauce is on the sweeter side. If you like that then this is the place for you.

We do pick-​up or delivery because the dine-​in experience is terrible as others have reviewed.
Love to get it with extra sauce and well done!

I really like their pizza, it’s better than some of the other places around.
I usually get pepperoni and extra cheese.
Great breadsticks too.
