I have used Arvidson’s for years. I have paid hefty monthly service fees to keep my spa up and running. At the end of a contract term they don’t even reach out to renew the agreement in fact they just stop coming. So now my spa has stopped working. I have called service 5 times, left multiple messages, and one week later still no returned phone call, no service call, no nothing. I reached someone a few days ago who said the head of service was out, the service scheduler was out and the service techs work long hour and can’t be reached and if they could be reached we would be charged an additional fee for an emergency appointment(this is after 7 days of calling btw) and now still no returned phone call or appointment scheduled. Simply if you are going to by a spa from someone I highly recommend you buy a spa from a dealer with an incredible service record and who is responsive, Arvidson is the opposite. I am searching for a new service team as i can’t put up with this lack of response any more. We had company in from out of town and badly wanted this fixed, company is gone, spa is still broken, Arvidson’s still not replying to calls, or messages.

I recently bought a Hot Springs Spa from Arvidson’s Pool’s and Spas. After looking at American Sale, The Great Escape, and Arvidson’s we decided to go with Arvidon’s. I am so glad we did. Not only did I get a great price(I shopped around) but the service from the locally owned company was AMAZING. The store manager, Jim McLernon has been great to work with and really cares about his customers satisfation. Buy from this company! You won’t be sorry!!!

In addition to doing pool supplies, Arvidsons also does outdoor Christmas decorations during the holiday season. They sent a consultant out to our home and a week or so later provided us with a proposal on the decorations that they planned to use, along with the price. A couple of short weeks later, they showed up and had everything hung. The convenience of it all was very nice and they did a great job of concealing extension cords and customizing the length of the lights to our house, but the decorations themselves were unimpressive. Our house was decorated to like a business with huge lights space far apart on the gutters. They used small lights around our bushes and door, but the huge lights on the gutters were a distraction. What perhaps bothered me most of all was how long they took to remove the decorations. Granted we had a rough winter with cold, ice and snow that made it difficult, but no phone call, no email, no letter to say ‘hey we haven’t forgot about you, the weather is just making it difficult.’ Although 90% of my neighbors removed their lights by the first or second week of January, Arvidsons didn’t show up until February 14 to begin removal, and at that time only removed the garland and timers. They came back on March 17 to remove the gutter lights and then left the gutter clips all over my lawn. I went out and picked them up on my own and then a week or so later, they returned to clean up any debris and left a door hanger thanking us for our patience. Overall the concept is nice but I wouldn’t recommend Arvidsons for Christmas décor. Communication is virtually non existent and they turn Christmas into a 4 month celebration whether you like it or not.

I really believe in supporting local businesses, even when their prices are so much higher than big box stores and online sources. And I’ve really, really tried to support Arvidson over the last decade or so, but I am just so fed up that I’m done. I will never ever go back there. They’re only 3 miles away and every other pool store is much further away, but I don’t care. The staff is very nice. The only issue is that none of them have any knowledge whatsoever about anything related to swimming pools. Don’t bother ever walking in and asking a question. They can barely find things in their store(if you bring in the part or bottle you’re replacing). The service department and parts department are the primary reason I won’t go back. I brought in my mesh cover to repair a big hole(basketball sized) and many tiny holes(pencil sized). I brought it in in May, they lost it. I called and called and went in a couple times and in September they found it and quoted $ 3000 to sew on some patches. WHAT?! I said no way. I brought in my Aquabot in March for repairs, because a track gets stuck sometimes. They lost it. I called and called and went in 4 times and emailed and they FINALLY found it in June and said«we don’t know how to fix it». I went in today and picked it up and again, the managers or service people can’t even apologize for how terrible they are. I had also tried to buy a pump and a heater from them in the past, but their prices were double to triple the prices from other sources. I also had tried to get service for my old heater and they said it would be 6 – 8 weeks, but they wouldn’t fix my brand anyway. Overall, there is absolutely no reason that you should go there for any product or service or advice. I know I never will again.
