The bread is like chewing on elastic. Extremely tough and chewy. The contents of the sandwich are good, but you’ll need razor sharp beaver teeth to gnaw through the bread. Half my sandwich came flying out of my hands because I just couldn’t chew through the bread. I watched other diners lose the contents of the sandwiches into their laps while the gnawed on the bread trying to tear pieces off. If you do manage to tear a piece of bread off, you will squish all the contents out the other end of the bread because you have really hold it tight while trying to tear a chunk off. You’re recipe is off. I won’t be visiting this place again because my jaw doesn’t need another workout just trying to eat. When I’m hungry I want eating to be easy, not exhaust my facial muscles.

Love the panini’s — I think I’ve had them all at this point.
I enjoy the soups. Love the ½ sandwich & soup for lunch. Need to try the milkshakes — they look delicious & fun.

This was my second attempt to see if my first encounter was an off day. The Italian sub on French bread is something I would never order again. The Reuben panini that I literally just finished eating was good except I felt very ripped off as the meat was definitely scarce. When you are tasting mostly bread you know there is a problem. If there was more meat and the dressing was better I would give this place another go.

I will start that I love Jersey Mike’s subs but this place is right up there and I might prefer them over Jersey Mike’s at times. The bread — love the chewy bread and the sub was really well made with the right amount of everything. My wife loves homemade soups so we split a sub and each got soup — it was really good. It was my first time and I rarely give 5 stars first visit (unless I am left speechless) so I will need to try them a few more times to earn that 5th star but I could not find anything I would change in what I ordered.

Tried Galloways for the first time. Had their turkey, bacon, ranch sub. Wasn’t anything special but wasn’t terrible. Might try something else from them again.

I was disappointed with the portion size. I ordered the larger roast beef sandwich, and all I got was a thin layer of roast beef. Looking at the other pictures on here I feel I got way less meat than I was supposed to. I was in the new Meijer location. The people were nice, but the prices are too high for the amount of food. For the same amount of money I would suggest Butcher on the Block, or Algonquin Sub Shop.

The tomato basil bisque soup is one of the best I’ve had. Sub sandwiches are delicious and everything is served in very generous portions!

I’ve been a fan since the beginning and they just keep getting better. I love that it’s all one big family there and even the younger kids remember me when I come in. The owner is amazing and try’s hard to give back to the Community. It’s a great local place with amazing homemade foods. The Chilli is my absolute favorite! Can’t wait to see what they do next!

What a fantastic find! I drive by almost every day and have been meaning to check Galloway’s out for a few years now. The Reuben and coleslaw were delicious and delivery came right when they said it would. I can’t wait to stop in to the restaurant and try their other options. Thank you to Galloway’s, you’ve earned another repeat customer!

The paninis sandwich are like the” knock off/​bootleg” paninis. I wouldn’t eat here again. I heard their paninis are OK so I decided to give it a TRY. EHhhhh, I can make one myself and it would taste 10xs better. The paninis are overpriced. At least its what I think. I see a lot of foot traffic in and out of this place though. Well, we all have different taste and this place wasn’t my cup of tea. The taco salad was horrible… well lets just say I didn’t like their special homemade sauce or whatever they threw in it. The taco salad was 6.99 and was filled with mountains of lettuce. I had to play hide and seek with my meat and cheese. Like where were my meat and cheese? Very little meat plus cheese! Oh, don’t let me get to the nacho cheese chip that is smashed up and crumbled in. The taco salad contained mostly lettuce. I was hoping for everything to be even out.

Tried this place out while doing a job in Crystal lake. The food was delicious. Had the pepperjack turkey panini and tomato basil bisque. Not only was the food really good, but the staff was extra friendly. Great job guys!

Sandwiches are not good, feels like it’s pre packaged lunch meat. Soup is condensed canned soup style, and flavor. For what you get it is overpriced, and not worth it.

I go here regularly it’s close to my house and the sandwiches are always fresh. I have had a shake there a couple of times also and it was great also. I recommend this place to anyone who likes a good Chicago style sub. Super clean also.

Been coming here since they opened but years ago but just realized I have never wrote about this place until now. Extremely friendly family run place. Workers always have a smile on their face. Great subs that use fresh turano bread that never differ in taste. Milkshakes are also top notch. I recommend giving the chocolate peanut butter shake a try. Very tasty.

Didn’t think it was that great. Bread was hard and roast beef was overdone and extremely salty. Not a good quality if meat here. Given that it was Saturday lunch, I would have expected to have fresh bread. I’ll go back to my favorite Bubs in Algonquin, just didn’t get here cuz of Randall traffic and still wanted to try local flavor. I’ll think twice next time.
Their largest drink is a 20 oz. Too small for an extremely thirsty person grabbing drink on the go, decided to stop over at CVS and grab a big drink for much less. Cost wasn’t an issue.
