Bed and Breakfast Craftsman House

We recently stayed at Craftsman House B&B for the 2^nd time. We also met a friend from San Diego, who stayed in the smaller room out by the koi pond. We all agreed that this place is a real gem! It is a peaceful and lovely oasis in the midst of the craziness of LA. Luu and Nam-​Hao, our host and hostess, were always gracious. Both are well traveled, very intelligent, and love to talk to their guests. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to the LA area.

We found this wonderful house when visiting our friends in Culver before they renovated their own house. Nam-​Hau and Luu are gracious hosts, with just the right amount of attentiveness. Their house is spare with luxurious touches like the amazingly clean, ultra-​sanded wooden floors, massaging stone floors and luxe towels in the bathrooms, and the softly bubbling waterfall in the koi pond. We stayed in both rooms on different occasions.
The upstairs room is on the same floor as Luu and Nam-Hau’s bedroom. The vaulted ceiling makes it feel much bigger than the small footprint, but there is plenty of room for two people. The bathroom across the hall has a claw-​footed tub for showers or soaks. This room may be better for guests who get up later in the morning, as the other room is closer to the kitchen where breakfast is served between 7−10A.
The larger room has its own separate entrance, and has a platform queen bed for guests who like a firmer mattress. An extra twin fits in just fine. The glass shower is large and has great water pressure. The toilet has a bidet built-​in!
The house is in a great location in Culver, which is itself a great location on the west-​side of LA. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast to both the business and the vacation traveler.
