I have to say, I noticed a dip in the quality of experience here recently. The behind the counter folks aren’t as on the ball, I noticed the guy manning the oven burned the fuck out of someone else’s pizza(fortunately not mine). I ended up waiting at least a couple minutes just to get my pizza started when I was«on deck» and they had like 4 other employees back there running around like they had their heads cut off. Other times I’ve been here, it’s been a much better experience. The food itself this time around was fine. I like their spicy sauce and good selection of vegetarian toppings. They should add some kind of fake meat to the mix. It’d be great to add some guilt-free pepperoni to my pie in the future. Hope ya’ll figure out what’s causing a snag in what seemed to be a well-oiled machine to me before now.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to pizza but this place is pretty great. It’s kinda the Chipotle of pizza. You can do something off the menu or build your own which is what I usually do. Everything comes up fast, tastes fresh, and they have some very solid lemonade too. It’s a frequent work lunch spot, as it’s somewhere the whole group can usually agree on and we’re in and out quick

The food here is amazing! Don’t just get a plain pizza, or something from the menu… they really mean it, you can have all the toppings you want! My wife and I usually share a «white top» and add roasted garlic, roasted onions, two more kinds of cheese, tomatoes, basil, and zucchini… but all of their ingredients are fresh. The price, per pie, for what you get is actually really good if you’re creative. Average if you’re a plain cheese kinda person. Minus a star for the high turnover of staff and cleanliness. No one seems to last 6 months, which tells me something on the inside needs to adjust, maybe treat the employees better? or be more selective in hiring? I dunno. It’s not dirty in here, but, for the last year or so, every time I’ve been in tables needed wiping.

For the past year Blaze has been my favorite pizza spot, way better than Pieology and other choices. However in the last few months the quality has gone downhill. It’s actually really hard to mess up pizza. You just put toppings on it and throw it in the oven. My review isn’t about ingredients(they’re fine) or cleanliness(also fine). It’s about the guy manning the oven. Today it was Devin and Devin has just one job — DON’T BURNTHEPIZZA. I watched in horror as he burned half the pizzas while having a conversation with one of his buddies who cut the line. The lady who ordered in front of my ended up with a burnt pizza that she had to feed her child. She asked for arugula on half of the pizza and Devin proceeds to dump it on the entire pizza. Another gentleman had to ask him to take his pizza out of the oven so it wouldn’t burn. I ordered a few pizzas and they came out at completely different times. This is really ridiculous. There is only one point of failure in this quite simplistic operation and it’s oven guy. While we were waiting, there were 5 pissed off customers standing waiting for their pizza while Devin talked to his friend in the white shirt. When I go to Blaze I don’t expect world class service, but what I do expect is not eating a burnt pizza. When that happens I feel like a jerk holding up the line and asking them to remake it. It wouldn’t happen at all if you got it right the first time. To the management: Please get a manager on site. Everyone working there is in high school. No one takes any responsibility for the customers.

I had lunch here the other day and really enjoyed their pizzas. There was a line that was almost outside of the door and u was worried that it would take too long to get my food. The line went quick but I didn’t feel like I had enough time to look at the menu The employees were so nice and helpful in helping me decide which masterpiece pizza I was going to make. It turned out great. Glad to have this business in the neighborhood.

First thought when we got here«very friendly and welcoming» The pizza is great definitely will come again. I like how they ask if it’s your first time. If so, they give you a quick run down of how it works and pricing which is always nice. I am a BIG pizza lover and thin crust pies, so seeing that their pizzas are thin crust is a big plus! The only downfall to this is the parking it’s a pain to get in or out.

I’ve only been here twice. The first time I went I was excited over how cheap their pizzas were! I really love the fact that you can put everything on it and the price doesn’t go up. Anyway, while I waited for my pizza to come out of the oven, I asked the guy if I could have a side of olive oil. This d-bag was in a really bad mood. He rolled his eyes, pulled out the olive oil, poured it into a container, closed it, and then slammed it down in front of me. He didn’t say a thing. I understand that some customers can be real assholes and piss you off time to time. There is no need to take that anger out of other(nicer) customers. He’s lucky I had a super nice guy the second time around. Second time I brought my bestie to check it out. The guy at the oven this time — totally nice to me. My BFF said he was into me — harmless flirting never hurt nobody. He redeemed this place for me. As for the other dude, he might have been fired by now…

Came early since parking is at a premium during lunchtime. Most of the primo parking in front is limited to 20 minutes. Nice welcome when I entered Blaze Pizza. You have the option of creating the pizza the way you want it or order one of their Spicy red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms and garlic. The quality of the meat, veggies and cheese looks really good. They were really patient with me when I was trying to figure out what I wanted. The pizza cooks at over 500* and is cooked in minutes. Pizza was cooked pretty fast. Surprisingly to me it was cooked pretty nicely for such a short time. The crust and sauce were pretty tasty. As I was leaving I got a thank you and have a good day from a couple of the employees. They have really good customer service here.

I’ll start by going down the line. The spicy red sauce is not very spicy. The jalapeños are pickled, not fresh and the basil was tasteless. I felt like my pizza needed pepper and couldn’t find any. Their only hot sauce was Tabasco, which I love, but would prefer hot chili oil like 800 Dregree Pizza & Mulberry Street Pizza. Then when it all comes together, the crust is good, but the pepperoni, bacon, pineapple & basil toppings are forgettable. I really was hoping it’d be good.

I love this neighborhood pizza joint! The signature pizzas are delicious. We’ve tried 3 or 4 of them now and they are all so flavorful. In addition to their signature menu, you can build-your-own pizza as well, with plenty of toppings to choose from. In addition to the A+ menu, service is fast and friendly and they are all about getting involved with community. When one of the workers asked me how my day was going and I told her we were there to celebrate my son getting Student of the Month, she gave him a free pizza card for his next visit to recognize his achievement. Totally loved the gesture and will continue to frequent this family friendly spot.

My co worker and I came here for lunch. We didn’t know what to eat, and he mentioned that he REALLY likes this spot. I’ve been to other Build Your Own Pizza, but not blaze pizza. The workers were really nice people. I built a cheese, pepperoni, bacon, and pineapple pizza. I would say it’s a pretty good pizza. I wish I was either warned or just thought smarter, but the first bite was so hot it burned the roof of my mouth. The pizza sauce was good, it had a sweet/spicy taste to it. And the rest of the pizza was good. They thankfully don’t really cheap out on toppings. We also had smore’s. They hear it up and it’s all good and gooey. Why four stars instead of five? Well everything was good. I don’t think it was great. Also burning the roof of my mouth wasn’t an ideal experience. I would recommend you to try it though. Just be careful how hot the pizza is out of the oven.

I am definitely coming back here again. This beats Pieology by far because they have an amazing spicy red sauce to use as the base. For those of you who can’t really handle spicy, don’t fear because it’s actually not spicy at all just a little more flavor. The pizza came out super fast for a Sunday lunch time. Their crust is also a lot crunchier than Pieology and the lady who served us gave us a ton of toppings. I’m pretty sure that my pizza was at least 3 – 4 inches thick with toppings. The other plus side? There’s a parking lot that’s free! Well, unless you get it validated. For everyone who knows the LA parking struggles, parking is definitely something that will be a deal breaker when you’re trying to figure out where to eat. I would definitely suggest going all out on the toppings and not settling for any less if you’re super hungry. I also appreciated that their toppings were fresh and the tables and atmosphere was on point. It’s also extremely clean!

Our negative experience here was due to personnel quality control, they seem to have none. From the moment we walked in until we asked for a refund and walked out, we were treated like garbage. We ordered online, as their phone message requested. We received a very professional confirmation email, with a pickup time and instructions on what to do when we come in. We came on the store and came up to the counter exactly at our pickup time. I don’t usually name names, but since I think this is an issue that can be remedied by management, I will here. The woman at the checkout counter, Suzie, derisively told us that no one had even started making our pizzas. She then defensively told us that the our order only came in 10 minutes ago, despite my email giving the actual time stamp of the order and stating the pickup time. We waited ten minutes, and had to watch as our order continued to be ignored. We asked a second time, and were told that it’s now going to be made. Then I was asked to sign a receipt — why I hadn’t been asked to do this immediately is unclear. As I sign the receipt, I am told that they neither have the cheese nor the basil for our pizza(it’s called The Vine, but it’s essentially a margarita pizza). Thanks for telling me after I paid for a pizza that doesn’t exist. Again, no apology, no accommodation, no offered solution. I try to go with the flow and tell them to just put on regular mozzarella and not worry about the basil. Then we continue to wait and five minutes later are told that they are out of tomatoes, which just happen to be the last topping on the Vine. Essentially they have now tricked me into paying for a Vine pizza, while attempting to deliver a plain cheese pizza. Again, no apology, no offer to even refund the difference between a Vine and a cheese pizza. So we ask for a refund, which they promptly deliver, without a word from Suzie and without the manager even coming out(she needed to get the manager’s card in order to give us the refund so the manager clearly knew there was an unhappy customer but she didn’t feel it was worth it to make an appearance). I recognize that this place is very popular on Unilocal with a lot of reviews, however our situation was not unique. In the 15 minutes we waited for our food, we saw a similar situation happen to another online-order customer and watched as each customer that passed by Suzie’s counter got the same cold, indifferent treatment. Restaurants who fail to hire good staff will ultimately lose business, no matter how good the food. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – Update Soon after writing this review I was contacted by Blaze customer service who offered an apology, requested more information about the incident I describe above, and offered to make it up to me. Although it did not chance my initial experience, I really appreciate the response and hope it means they’re working on making a change for the better.

Blaze Pizza is comparable to Pieology. I came here for lunch with a co-worker and thought it was satisfying and the price point was good. $ 8 for your own personal pizza and I got full from only consuming half. Makes for good leftovers for the next day’s lunch! The only thing concerns I had were the following: –Parking is scarce, especially during the lunch hour –Mine and my co-worker’s pizza crusts were burnt –They ran out of Parmesan cheese that multiple people asked to borrow ours from our table. Overall, it’s tasty and inexpensive fast food pizza.

On my first trip here, a Blaze Pizza artist explained, «It’s like a pizza Subway.» With these five words, I already loved the concept. I was ready to get down with an $ 8 fresh-to-order pizza that would be ready in a couple minutes. From the outdoor signage, I always thought that Blaze was like a Pitfire Pizza, a better than ok pizza place where I would spend like $ 15-$ 20 per pizza and be kind of mad about it — questioning if the cost was really that much better than Domino’s. Little did I know that Blaze is much more fun, affordable, and of course, pretty good! When you walk into Blaze, this will probably surprise you too. It really is a pizza Subway. You walk up, choose your toppings(or choose a pie off the menu and modify it as you please), and pay at the counter. In a few minutes(like 3), your pizza is ready and you’re eating! It’s pretty cool — fast food pizza, but with better quality and more choices. Sure, the pizza isn’t comparable to Da Michele in Naples(but really, very few things are this side of Rossopomodoro in London), but you’re getting a personal pizza with whatever you want on it for $ 8. They dough it, top it, and bake it right in front of you. It’s a pretty sweet concept and deal. Now that I know this isn’t one of those expensive pizza places that leaves your heart asking itself if it got what it wants, I’ll be at Blaze all the time. It’s a pizza Subway!

I’ve been to plenty of pizza places, fast casual, pizzeria, fast food, etc. blaze definitely is one of my more favorite places. Their pizza is more crispier than pieology and I liked how theiy made a small crust before adding toppings(instead of just flat pizza dough). Their toppings are also really good, I love their zucchini and roasted garlic, ingredients I haven’t seen in other places. I highly recommend getting the pesto sauce on top, but you have to ask them after you order your pizza. Overall pretty good! Would I come here again? Sure! Especially cause there’s free parking behind.

Ever since a visiting Naples over 9 months ago, for the most part I have avoided eating pizza out of sincere fears of disappointment. I figured enough time had passed, so I finally decided to give Blaze a try. Unfortunately, I can say that my fears were completely justified. That being said, it wouldn’t be fair to compare a pizza chain that started in 2012 that focuses on customizability, affordability, and convenience, with authentic Neapolitan pizzerias with multiple centuries of deep-rooted history. As such, this review will refrain from comparing the two styles. So, judging Blaze with a clean, unbiased slate: I found the pizza to be sufficiently enjoyable. Like everyone else, I ordered the Build Your Own($ 7.95) and put on my chef’s hat(*). The pre-shaped dough formations are thin, and slightly built around the crust. Said dough comes out like a conveyor belt, after which they allow you to choose from 3 base sauces and several types of cheeses before moving onto their wide and colorful array of toppings. There is no limit on how many you can add, which ends of being one of their strong points. You can actually order from their premade menu(same price) and STILL add as many toppings as you’d like. Now that’s freedom! *I do not actually own a chef’s hat. But after designing my pizza, I kinda wanted one. Anyhow, I get to the end of the line, wait the appropriated 180 seconds, and out comes my custom-built pizza, just like I ordered it. The cheese and sauce are somewhat dull, and the crust is a bit too crisp on the pre-built edges. The toppings are just fair in quality, though I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the liberal helpings of roasted garlic cloves and Kalamata olives they gave me. Thanks to having been able to choose only the ingredients of my liking, it still tastes pretty good despite its shortcomings. Even with all the toppings I added, I was still only about 80% full after the meal. At $ 7.95, it’s actually a great deal, and being able to build your own pizza in a matter of minutes Chipotle-style is quite fun. Incidentally, I consider Chipotle a solid, 4-star experience, and am always willing to go if there is no better Mexican food on the horizon. As for Blaze, although I like pizza just as much as I like Mexican, I get a greater sense of satisfaction from Chipotle. Seeing as the two are comparably priced, I’m gonna have to go with 3 stars for Blaze. It’s certainly not bad, however, so if you’re looking for a quick and affordable pizza fix, it might be for you. For parking, turn into the shopping area and linger around the lot for a bit. I found there to be a fairly constant in/outflux of cars here.

I love the concept of these personal fast fired pizzas. I dont really have a preference as far as which store is better but i do like blaze. You basically pay $ 8 and get as many toppings as you want. Be warned that too many toppings actually doesnt taste that good. I like mine with white sauce, chicken, sauteed onions, basil, chopped garlic, arugala, and pesto sauce. Its super fast and the results are always great. Some of the workers look pretty miserable though so it makes you feel a bit awkward asking for tons of stuff. Overall good price for what you get.

My first time at Blaze. I like it. It has a very similar concept to most popular places such as Chipotle, Lemonade, Tender Greens, etc. I only have one pet peeve. Stingy servers. Why are some servers so STINGY with laying on the toppings?! Do I really have to ask again and again to put more? I’m the one looking like a fool. I’m not asking for free food but gosh can’t you at least keep it consistent?! Obviously this is across the board for all similar places. But this one girl in particular at this location… OMG. Please put her behind the cash register or somewhere else. Otherwise fantastic place for fresh baked thin crust pizza, lightning speed, at an affordable price. Parking is plenty shared with other businesses, but horrendous… so plan accordingly.

Do you like assembly line build your own quick fire pizza places? Are you familiar with Pieology, Open Oven, & Pizza Rev? Cool so you understand that Blaze is like those in the sense where you pay for a pizza which you can top with whatever sauce, cheese, and unlimited toppings before its cooked right in front of you. Except, Blaze is better than all of the other pizza places mentioned. Their toppings are better. Their dough is better. They have more choices for sauce(spice red, yes please) and fun additions like roasted garlic cloves. Its cheep, it’s a lot of food, it’s exactly what you want, and it’s quick. I think that you might like this place more too, so give it a try if you’re looking for a pizza pie. Also they have a cool brand, but that’s kinda irrelevant.
