Wow everything was soooo good! Ordered the mousaka, falafel & combo mixed grill and ate every bite. Super affordable and amazing staff. Can’t wait to come back.

Love this place. Friendly family owned. The food is fresh and fast, it’s very easy to miss, but worth the stop. The Tattle Tale lounge next door makes for good people watching too.

Not great. Had falafel plate, falafel’s were dry. Hummus was not great. Tahini seemed watered-down. Very small salad. Very small portion of baba ghanoush. On the plus, service was warm & friendly.

Well I have to give this place a 5 star because of the appearance, you would drive by here without thinking to stop but if you did you were so lucky because the food is terrific, we went here on a Saturday and had to return on monday because they were closed on sunday, the steak kabobs and chicken thigh kabob is cooked perfectly juicy and spoon tender, the cherry rice is really good also, plus the free small cup of lentil soup after your order just gets you going.

Easy place, order at the windows and with parking right out front. Prices are reasonable. The beef and lamb shawarma was tasty. The tzatziki sauce and hummus was also awesome. Pita and rice were sort forgettable but I’m ok with that.

There’s this thing my friends and I like to do called«King Rogers Kabob» which is get wasted at Rogers tattle tale and then work up an appetite and head on over to kings kabob for the munchies !!! Cheap drinks cheap food. It’s a Culver City tradition !!! Highly recommend for out of town folks.

A quick spot for an inexpensive bite. Reminds me of the many NYC kabob places I frequented as a broke intern. Nothing really to extrapolate here, you won’t want to stick around as the ambiance is literally that of a Culver City sidewalk.

Tasted OK, but it was expensive and slow. Also, can you still call it shawarma if the meat is in cubes? That’s not what I was looking for.

Very average. Average food, average prices. I really liked this place as a kid. But after trying other places I realized I was being neglected in the falafel department. Habayit in west la is way better.

We order from KK almost everyday for lunch. It’s a window, not a 4 star enterprise, so I was a little disappointed by people’s reviews. It’s simple, fast and easy, not to mention fresh and tasty. Perfect place for lunch on the go.

Unless these people improve their quality of food, i will never go back. The food is not done by a real cook. You feel that someone is just trying to copy Middle eastern menu or Egyptian menu. I see the food as far from the taste advertized. (by the way they spelled Egypt wrong on their sign above cashier window«Eygpt» one star is too much! «» if you guys care about the location, hire a good cook to train you”

So I ordered from this place through eat24. Food looked good but they never delivered. The guy literally said he didn’t want to go to my place, which is a large, upscale apartment building on the west side, in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. I called eat24, and NATE was so very nice, he gave me a coupon for the next time I ordered. He said this has happened before from this rude ass restaurant. Fuck king’s kabob.

I hit this spot an hour overdue for lunch, so I was boarder line starving. Wanted something quick and easily handled, I must have looked perplexed as the gentleman inside the small store front opening suggested a gyro. He must have read my mind! I was all in and ready to go. Being as hungry as I was, always a bad time to shop, there was a refrigerator case behind him with a tray of baklava, might as well let me have one of those also, good thing thats all that was visible from by street vantage point. There is very minimal outside seating and no inside seating as this is just a hole in the wall, literally. So my order was to go. Yes, I suffered all the way back to work, needless to say this gyro didn’t stand a chance. Very tasty with tzatziki sauce and some fresh tomatoes beef and lamb thinly sliced and grilled to mouth watering tender morsels. Definitely, worth the trip and the wait. And the dessert was also very tasty, a bit cold because it was in the refrigerator, should have waited for it to warm up a bit! No chance.

With much to compare to(more than ½ my Unilocal reviews are that of kabob and shawarma) I have to admit that King Kabob wasn’t really«king» in my book. First of all, it’s more of a hole in a wall,(literally, a window in a wall, you order there and wait outside), than a restaurant. While I’m totally okay with this and actually tend to like places like this more because they are usually FAST, this place was different… It was slower than a «high» turtle and when you’re hungry to begin with, oh my, all you want to do is THROWTHETRUTLELIKE A FOOTBALL. I ordered the chicken kabob out of fear that the shawarma was going to be too fatty– I love fat, don’t get me wrong, but it typically makes me want to nap after because it’s so heavy– however my friend ordered the shawarma wrap and I’m bummed I didn’t get the shawarma plate because it was FARBETTER than my kabob! The kabob was fine, but it just wasn’t all that flavorful and the hummus didn’t help all that much. The shawarma wrap was pretty top notch though, definitely ate my kabob and then ½ my friend’s sandwich because I am known for being a human garbage disposal, ha! While I will probably never come back here, if I ever did, I would definitely order the chicken shawarma plate. I’d rather take an afternoon nap then be dissatisfied with a meal!

I’ve lived in Culver City most of my life and had always overlooked this place. I finally made it a point to go and I was sadly disappointed. I ordered the combo which came with 3 types of meat(chicken, beef, and something else), rice, humus, tziki, and pita. When we got the order I noticed there was no humus. I told the lady at the counter and she told me they had ran out! It would have been nice to know at the time I placed my order. The meat was good, the rice was a bit bland, but the shocker was that it was Mexican red rice instead of Mediterranean rice. The tzatiki sauce was really watery. I won’t be coming back. I gave it 2 stars because it was edible and it didn’t give me food poisoning

Delicious food and friendly, helpful people. We liked: spanakopita beef and lamb vegetarian plate baklava The pita is soft and fresh, the spanakopita is large and decadent, and the lamb is tender and flavorful. I thought the chicken shawarma strips were strangely thin. Delivery was fast. They were out of one item and called immediately, called back when I didn’t answer the first time, and gave us free baklava for the inconvenience. Kings Kabob is better than all of the food I tried in Egypt and my favorite Westside Mediterranean grub.

In a nutshell: not a terrible deal for what you are paying for, but the food is definitely nothing above mediocre, and certainly not worthy of some of the praise given in a lot of these reviews. The falafel is competent but not particularly delicate or noteworthy. The salad vegetables are few, it feels like they are lazily throwing together some iceberg lettuce with tomato and onion slices. The hummus feels rushed. The pita that comes with it isn’t too bad, and it certainly ensures you get yourself a full belly. Being the only Mediterranean restaurant nearby(the Greek place at the nearby Westfield Mall having recently closed), it does put one craving Mediterranean in a difficult spot. Still, it is not the cheap-yet-amazing, hole-in-the-wall Mediterranean we are hoping for.

Another long overdue review I’m in an organized dart group that throws at a nearby bar so I’ve pretty much eaten at all the establishments around the area, with the exception of fast food. A few months back, I tried King’s Kabob. King’s isn’t a sit down dine in establishment. It’s a window with very limited sidewalk seating. I overheard one customer mention that she’d wait in their coffee shop for her food but I opted to eat outdoors. I ordered and paid for my beef and lamb shawerma, sandwich only. Sat down and waited a while for my order. No wait service. The food wasn’t terrible but I thought it was a little on the bland and the meat a little on the dry side. As I’m in the area regularly, I’m sure I’ll try King’s again to see if my opinion changes. For now, it’s OK.
