Last two reviews couldn’t be more right! This stereo shop is run by morons. Even thought they closed shop and moved to another location, beware! A long story short. Had an alarm installed that costs $ 600. Took them 7 return visits to get it working at 75% operational. Within the 7 tries, they managed to damage my windows, forget to put screws back on panels, ran wire through engine compartment across the engine literally(over air cleaner, AC hoses, etc), blow out light on gauge cluster, wired motion sensor wrong(when someone walked pass car the alarm was suppose to sound, but instead the dome light turned on!), and remote shorted after 12 hrs. To this day, I had to rewire everything myself to get it to work. Bunch of friggin morons. To find out where they are doing business in Culver City, go to their old location and there is a sign in window where they moved to. Then, stay away once you find out!

Never trust this place with your business. Stereo City has since moved from the address it has here. They are now located just South of Venice Blvd and I believe Sepulveda though I am not sure now. At first, I thought this place would be great — Matt the guy there was friendly and helpful. I wanted an ipod adapter installed in my Mazda 3. I had the fancier stereo so he said he could install one that would allow me to scroll through my playlists through the stereo’s actual controls(instead of through the ipod which is a little more dangerous when driving). Well, he convinced me and I payed for the top ipod adapter he spoke of. I arrived on the day we had the appointment and they had gotten the wrong ipod adapter. I wanted to go on a road trip so I was really disappointed. He said he would install the one he got me just to tie me over till he got the right one. I left with this adapter installed in my car. I did not pay for installation but promised to do so once they put the right one in. Thank Goodness I did this because the rest is the tragedy that took place. First of all I couldn’t get anyone to return my calls. Then finally when I happened to catch Matt on the phone we set up an appointment date. Now this place is a DRIVE for me, so I made special arrangements to get there. I get there and oh, he’s sorry — he has no one to install the piece. I said, hey man if you knew this this morning why didn’t you call me and save me a trip? He apologized and promised to call me back. When weeks went by I called again. Got voice mail. No answer. Left about a dozen messages. No answer. Then I was by there — I go just to see if they are still in business and Yes, they are in business! I walk in, there are guys there. Cars there. I ask for Matt. He’s out to lunch. I leave because I really didn’t have time for this so I leave him a note. Now, listen folks, I was always nice about it. In the note I say something like, please call me — I don’t want this to turn nasty, just tell me if something went wrong and you can’t help me. Did I even get a courtesy call? No. No. No. I was ignored into giving up. Now, I only have it on my list of things to do when I have a lot of money. When I have it, I am going to take them to small-claims court just on the principle of the whole thing. It’s just rude and bad business. And I hate to say this but it smacked of male chauvinism. Ladies in particular, be ware.

This place is out of business. Do not attempt to purchase anything from them, ghosts will attack you through metal gates with dust bunnies!
