A great local business! Professional instructors who can relate to students of all skill levels and all ages. My children have been students for four years — we’ve had several instructors(based on our availability) and have been happy with all of them. Melissa and Andrew(owners) offer lots of opportunities for all students: ensembles, open mic, jam sessions, showcase bands and my kids’ personal favorite, Rock Camp! Good selection of instruments to purchase — I know nothing about guitars and was given a well-balanced perspective on the pluses/minuses of several instruments, not just pushed to the most expensive as with some stores. Highly recommend!

I think the way you rate a business depends entirely on what you expect as a customer. Our family was looking for a place with great instructors that genuinely care about creating a supportive environment where kids can learn and have fun, with lots of opportunities to perform. This is what we get from Music Authority. Our kids, ages 9 – 14 take a variety of lessons here, from voice to electric guitar to violin. They have performed in recitals, concerts and the open mic/jam sessions, and attended the New Year’s bash for teens. This place makes kids feel welcome and comfortable, and provides opportunities to learn and perform a wide variety of musical styles with talented, enthusiastic teachers who genuinely like teaching kids. We love it.

In attentive workers that care not to help you even though you are looking around the store like someone needing antidote after a snake bite. I couldn’t believe that it took almost 10 minutes before someone said, «hi, could i help you find something» 10 minutes might not be long, but when you are only 1 of 3 total in the store, it’s forever! I categorize this place as your typical«mom & pop» type music store. The«M.O» of said store is to sell 95% crap with an overblown markup, the other 5% is a high end ticket item that very few could afford. The high end is there only because the owner or manager is able to get one for themselves for almost nothing or an awesome price. Their main source of income is to give music lessons. I’m not sure the quality of the lessons but if its the same as the lameness up front, its bad. Won’t be back.
