This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in town and considering how many are local to us I think that says a lot. Good service, good food, and decent prices. My son loves the décor here. :)

No stars!!! Pueblos has always been our favorite Mexican place and have visited several locations, mostly Freedom Pkwy. We have always had great food and good service. I want to tell you about my experience today. We came in, greeted and immediately seated. And then that was all. No chips and salsa delivered, no waters, no nothing. We read the menu picking out what we wanted and… nothing. Tables were empty, not crowded. It was 2:15pm on a Sunday. We sat for 15 minutes at least and then one waiter came walking by and I just looked at him and he glanced down and said have you been helped and I said No we haven’t. He walked away and another 5⁄6 minutes went by before another waiter, a white guy, is walking by and glances down and says curtly… you want something? Really? No we just came in to sit! I answered nicely yes some cokes and a cheese dip. Another 5 minutes waiting and we got up and left. Horrible service!!! Extremely horrible service! Rude waiter! Drove a little further to Dawson and went to El Jinette.

WOW! Sat there for an hour and a half and had 5 baskets of chips and the food never came. Was assured it was coming soon by both the waitress and manager. Waitress blamed the kitchen and the manager blamed the waitress. Now we are at Zaxby’s across the street.

Love to have Sunday lunch at Pueblos! And if it’s a nice day, you can even enjoy a cold cerveza on the patio. Excellent, fresh, delicious food and attentive, friendly service.

Came to visit about a week ago. The their queso is way too yummy! Food is cheap, and the burritos are my absolute favorite! This Mexican restaurant is definitely one of my favorites!

My husband and I absolutely love this place. He always orders his queso with chorizo. I’m am not a huge fan of Mexican food but I love this place. We always get great service, the waiters are friendly and helpful. The fajitas, tacos, nachos, quesadas, are great. This is one of our favorite places to go and we are regulars, usually going at least twice a month. Décor is nice not to over powering, and if you don’t go somewhat early expect to be waiting in line.

Excellent food and amazing service. I have ordered multiple items off of the menu and I haven’t been disappointed. My favorite dish is the Chicken Chimichangas! The staff is very courteous and after a few visits, they remember who we are and what we like. Great Mexican restaurant and I’m glad we found it. I highly recommend to anyone living north on 400.

This review is for several visits because we come here pretty often. The food is good and the service is excellent. We usually get the molcajete or lately I’ve been ordering the chimichanga. If there is a problem, they always bend over backwards to make it right. The drinks are cold, the mixed drinks are great, and the atmosphere is comfortable. If I could complain about one thing, it would be to update those old standard televisions to HDTVs :)(But they do have HDTVs at the bar where it matters most).

I had a horrible experience that this Pueblos. I always order the Bocadillo Latino sandwich. To begin with, the waiter didn’t speak English, he didn’t even know how to ask us what we wanted to eat or drink in English. Then, when I finally ordered, I had a vegetarian sandwich brought to my table. When I told the staff that I got the wrong order, they argued with me that it was right. They even whipped out a menu to prove me wrong, which, fortunately for me, proved me right. The waiter from before went to talk to the kitchen staff. When he came back, I was informed that they would give me the toppings but not make a new sandwich. That was a really cheap thing to do. So I got the pork and ham topping which did NOT go well with all the vegetables and guacamole. Usually it goes with mustard, but I wasn’t given that. Really I wouldn’t have a problem if they had just made me a whole new sandwich instead of arguing with me, calling me a liar, and giving me nothing but a small dish of toppings. I am very angry with how I was treated by the staff. The staff of this Pueblos doesn’t care about their customers at all. I recommend not going there.

Very friendly. I enjoy the small nacho supreme with chicken, cheese dip, and their pico de gallo(sp?) has fresh distinctive flavors.

We used to come to Pueblos when it was Fajitas Mexican Restaurant, so it was a very-pleasant surprise to walk in one day, and find out that the place had changed ownership! From day 1, Pueblos has been one of my favorite places in the neighborhood. The Manager is ALWAYS at the front, greeting and seating, always a sweetheart. EVERYSINGLESERVERISAMAZING! By the way, the staff has never flipped, and the retention of their servers is 100%. That in itself, is almost unheard of. Natalie, Tenille, Blanca, and the boys… fabulous, every one of them! They really care, have great attitudes, and go out of their way to accomodate our needs. You can’t go wrong with any one of them. Really awesome people. On to the food. The salsa is always fresh, the chips always hot, and the selection of tequilas are awesome! They mix up a hell of a margarita, and their margaronas are lots of fun! The menu, while standard fare, is actually good! I’ve had almost everything on the menu at this point, and my faves are the enchiladas, the tacos, and the sopa de pollo! The fajitas are always smokin’, the charro beans are smokey, and bacony goodness, and their version of Molcajete is HUMUNGOUS! My son LOVES the queso, which says a lot for a picky 9 year-old, and hubby’s favorites are the taquitos, and the pork carnitas. They offer their lunch menu in the evening, for $ 2.00 more, which is cool, when you want something lighter. The price-point is really affordable, especially with the gigantic portions, and they don’t make a face if you choose to split something; they’ll even split it in the kitchen for you! There’s a patio, which is great in the spring and summer, and they have live music once a week. The Cinco de Mayo bash that they throw every year, is beyond-packed, but far-more organized than most Mexican restaurants, and they give away sombreros and tee shirts, which is great for the guests! They accommodate large parties with a smile, and treat their regulars like family, genuinely-happy to see them! I could give you a million reasons why you should skip that crappy Laredos, down the street, and head over to Pueblos. Try it just once, and you’ll defect from Laredos forever, ashamed that you ever went there in the first place. Its a completely different environment, and worth every moment and dollar we’ve spent there in the last two years. Give them a try, I don’t believe you’ll regret it. Cheers to the staff of Pueblos! You folks make us so very happy, and we really appreciate you being in the neighborhood! :)

I haven’t experienced a truly outstanding Mexican-styled restaurant, only average ones. However, I do think that Pueblos Mexican Cuisine is not a bad choice for Mexican food considering what the area offers The interior décor and atmosphere sometimes remind me of a bar — it at times has live music and there are bright décor accents though it is overall a pretty darkly lit place. The service has consistently been good, however, the last time I came here it almost verged on the side of too-good. We constantly had waitresses and hostesses coming by to check up on us, remove plates, ask over and over if we wanted chips even though we had already said we were fine. This interrupted our conversation, and because so many different people were trying to attend us, we were often repeating ourselves. I don’t know if that can be considered a critique, but it was starting to annoy me. Service was quick, however. The food, though I wouldn’t call it authentic Mexican, is your standard Mexican food. I have had a variety of foods here from the taco salad, burritos, chimichangas, to their spicy pasta. Admittedly, the pasta was actually very interesting and had a pleasant spicy kick; however, I wasn’t a fan of their taco salad as they poured a bunch of queso in a torilla bowl with very little vegetables, so it was essentially queso with shredded lettuce in it. Their burritos, tacos, quesadillas are standard so you can’t go wrong. Overall a so-so place. You won’t regret it, but it won’t blow your mind away.

This was fairly average to just a half star over average Mexican cuisine. The portions were large, The wait staff was friendly, but the food was very average Mexican. I found the inside to be very dark and kind of depressing.
