This pizza is decent«utility» pie which serves its life at children’s birthday parties, office lunches and on the dinner tables of Californians whom have never traveled east and had Lombardi’s. While the pizza here is not quite deserving of its name sake, I will tell you that the establishment does. The owner/operator flipping pies, remembering your name, throwing in some free garlic knots close to closing are all things that exemplify the charm of a real NY pizzeria experience. Something I have long for in the 2 years I have been away from NYC. Kudos for re-creating that feel, and being better than most pizzerias around this neck of the woods.

Their website has no place to post comments or concerns so I guess I’ll post this here to the public. Judging by the other Unilocal reviews they appear to have a quality control issue here. There always seems to be an issue with something I order from 212 New York Pizza. I have made many orders over the course of several months for their pizza and occasional I order mozzarella sticks only to find out that some of them do not have cheese in them every time I order. I have experienced on numerous occasions that when I visit I find they only have a slice or two available to be ordered. I recently went in with a friend and there were only two slices left so we ordered both of them. My friend and I wanted one more slice each but we were told that’s all they had. He then offered reluctantly that if we wait for 15 minutes or so that he can make another pizza. The customer behind us didn’t even order and just left after hearing this. Talk about lost revenue. Their website also uses getty images on the front page for their pictures and I noticed they didn’t even pay for them, how cheap can you get? I guess that explains why everything is so expensive here. If you’re looking for a better experience choose another New york style pizza places like pizzamyheart or bibos.

I enjoyed their Garlic Knots/rolls, the pizza won’t disappoint you but I don’t think you need to go all the way here for a good slice of pizza. If I’m in there area and I’m craving pizza, this is my first choice.

What a disappointment. This place is a hole in the wall– in a BAD way. Cramped, dirty dining area. Ugly, conspicuously cheap décor that looks like it was done in 1984. And the pizza? The kindest word I can muster is «forgettable». Service is slow. Staff behind the counter wander around slowly like they’ve never made pizza before and are still reading the cookbook. Really, guys, why does it take 10+ minutes to serve a couple of cheese slices? You’ve ALREADYCOOKED them! Just put them on a damn plate!

Small place with a few tables that serves great pizza. Lots of toppings to choose from, and their specialty pizzas are awesome

So I only tried this place because of the great reviews about the Garlic Knots. My experience wasn’t so great. I ordered the Garlic Knots with added sauce and cheese, well when I arrived to pick up my order they hadn’t even started it yet. The guy showed me the order before putting it in the«oven». Well the knots were some that had been sitting in the case already cooked so he just added the sauce and cheese on top. I waited probably about 10 mins or less for my food. Well when I opened up the container the food wasn’t even hot. The cheese wasn’t melted all the way and the sauce was still cold. If I wasn’t at work already I would have taken it back. Won’t be going again… So disappointed

Worst pizza experience ever!!! I called to place an order on the phone. The gentleman tells me it’ll be 15 minutes. I show up at the said time and he says it’ll be another 20 minutes. I wait an extra 30 minutes, so a total for 45 minutes I waited. When I got home and opened the pizza, all the cheese and toppings and slid off the dough!!! I was extremely upset and disappointed, with both the prolonged length of time of receiving the pizza, and its poor quality and inability to hold cheese. Called and spoke with the manager, hopefully my refund goes through like he said would($ 27).

Pizza by the slice ends at 5pm. The cashier was friendly enough. The place was tiny with a couple of tables but if you’re with a larger party, get take out. I got a personal combo and it was just what I expected: made fresh, thin crust, and delicious. Mini + a drink was $ 9 and some change. It was about what I would spend on a quick dinner elsewhere so I was satisified. I’d come again and reccomend it as well.

Not impressed. I consider myself somewhat of a pizza expert, this place is sub-par. A friend mistakenly ordered for delivery thinking it was the New York Pizza that I usually order from… let’s just say it is not. 70 $ for two pizzas, mozzarella sticks and two sodas. Pretty expensive for meh. I agree with some of the other reviews, barely any cheese at all mostly sauce.

Pizza was good, Caesar salad decent and garlic bread nice. It all arrived pretty fast. However, there was no fork, or napkins. We were glad a friend helped us with that or we would have he to eat the salad with our hands!

First, the basics: the pizza is great. We only had pizza, but I look forward to trying stomboli, calzones, and garlic knots in the future. Now, the problems: Ordered a large 18″ pepperoni with pineapple on half; the pizza we got only had pepperoni on half. They were great about it — rather than halfway fixing it, they gave us that whole pizza and gave us an additional 12″ with pepperoni and pineapple for free. Then there was another mistake; a large pizza came out with sauce, while the customer had requested no sauce. They promptly apologized for the mistake, made a correct one, and gave us the one with sauce since we were the last customers for the night. The food is better than the average pizza joint and better than any chain. Mistakes happen anywhere, but how the business deals with the mistakes is the differentiator. This experience could have easily gone down as a one star review, but they were amazing! Their attitudes were incredible and they were so courteous and quick to admit and correct mistakes. Between the quality of the food, the prices, and the attitude, I have found a new favorite pizza place.

I ordered a quick lunch from 212 «New York» pizza today, and regretted it as soon as I began eating. I’m from New York, newly relocated to CA, so I may have high expectations… but I can’t see anyone enjoying this food. The garlic knots with sauce & cheese were barely edible. The cheese was cold and just plopped on the top. The pizza crust was okay(thin crust, as NY style pizza should be), but the sauce was just wrong — very sweet and there was a LOT of it on the mini pizza. I was really unfulfilled by my meal, and had to toss most of it. I told my husband(who’s lived here about a year) where I’d ordered lunch from and his immediate reaction was, «WHAT?! WHY!?!» I wish I had known before I spent $ 15…

Hit or miss. When it is good, not many better, but every once in awhile you get something crappy. Not sure why, its never like the same mistakes over and over kind of thing, its unique ways to ruin it. Maybe they have a lot of turnover? Anyway, when good, the ingredients are fresh and not used sparingly. Sauce it light enough and the crust is lightly crunchy and tasty like it should be. If you are looking for a loaf of bread under your toppings, look elsewhere, this is as the area code would indicate, NY style pizza. Closest chain pizza place it would resemble is Straw Hat or maybe Papa Johns. Resembles is all though, it is much better than those places, jut giving you a reference point for something to expect. Now when they have missed… charred the thing one time and put like 5 pepperonis on the entire pie the other time. Lame and should have been caught both times if anyone was even kind of paying attention. If it wasn’t for the two misses would be a 4 star.

Just picked up a «pizza» which looked liked it had cheese on the bottom later, but apparently not. Asked for my money back or for another pizza with cheese on it, and the manager yelled at my wife, tells her to drive back in rush hour to bring the pizza back. Horrible customer service, it’s really not that hard to make a pizza. Thought of trying a new place close to work, but I guess around Table is the only reliable place. If I was the owner I would fire everyone that messed up making that pizza all the way to management that had the audacity to tell at my wife.

For the record I have not physically been here before. I called in for a pickup order and my husband went to pick it up. We ordered: — large half Margherita and half pepperoni pizza –garlic knots with cheese and sauce –2 cannolis The Margherita portion was tasty. We found the pepperoni to be very salty and had a very powerful flavor. I was not expecting the garlic knots to have the cheese and sauce baked on top. It was basically like eating a very thick crusted pizza. I did not look through the posted pics to see that is what I would get. My hubby presumed it would be like that though. Oh well. The cannoli tasted fresh with a nice crust. If you saw the tip I posted regarding the Fivestars reward card, only reason I thought this place had it was because my Fivestars app said they did. When my hubby presented the card however they had no idea what it was. The manager asked briefly about it wondering if a lot of people use it. After the inquiry he gave us a complimentary 2 liter of Coke.

Good pizza place, fresh, fast, and friendly. They delivered a tasty half Soprano and half Badda Bing with sides. The JFK Strawberry salad is a nice tart contrast to the savory pizza, I was taking joyous bites back and forth between pizza and salad. The pizza itself is not too oily, and is not saggy or soggy. Another plus for me is that there are no excessive burned bits on the crust. I will surely order again next time I feel like New York style pizza. I like this place more than Amicis.

A thin crust pizza with very fresh toppings! we got the large one today(18″, 19 dollars) with chicken and mushrooms(each topping is 2 dollars). the pizza was perfect. they used to have some promotions and coupons and no longer have anything. I wish they did, because they are on the pricey side. that’s why I take one star off.

The pizza continues to «deliver», and is close to home. Just as a side note, this pizzeria puts oregano on their pies. If you don’t like oregano on your pizza or you have kids, some of them might not care to eat the«green stuff» on their slices. I phoned in an order for 2 medium pizzas. I had a coupon for 2 med for $ 30 and called it in. When I gave them our phone #, it came up w/my husband’s name so I just let it go rather than use my own and used his name for the order. The cashier was *REALLY* HaPpY, like SUPER-DUPERHAPPY to be there and he called me «Sir» twice because I was picking up in my husband’s name. Arrghhh…

Yum! This place is a definite hole-in-the-wall inside a plaza thats rarely… and I mean… RARELY full! It was a win-win for my bf and I since we wanted pizza and a little getaway from all the cars running through cupertino and sunnyvale. The staff are really nice and can carry such a wonderful conversation. Just to name a few… Cyrus, is wonderful! He really knows how to tend and talk to customers. Marco… which I believe is the owner and manager there has charisma. Down to the food part. Pizza was good, not a «wow» factor… but good! Not much of a fan for thin pizza but hey it had flavor. Oh and their garlic knots are a must try!!! I honestly think it’s better than their pizza. And… to top it all off, they now serve beer! Woot woot! I just wish this place was bigger… with more tvs… just like Jakes in Sunnyvale. Once they get that going, it’s gonna be a TOUGH competition out there in the pizza world lololol. :)
