I am not surprised this place ended up closing down. The new manager kind of destroyed a good thing. I mean, she changed the name of the restaurant. :(I miss when it was called Gumbas. She even changed the recipe for and raised the price of my favorite item on the menu. The older owner was so sweet and gave the place real character. She was from Nepal and always had her beautiful clothing designs on sale in the store and the most incredible traditional decorations on the wall. She came directly to your table to order, whereas the new manager changed it so you had to come up to the register to order. It really changed the homey and welcoming feel that it used to have. She even gave me her business card and offered me a place to stay in Nepal free of charge anytime! As she was going to be returning there after turning the restaurant over to someone new. Such a kind lady. I’m sad that this restaurant is gone now as I’ve been coming here for 2 years. I will really miss it. I always used to come there to get a veggie wrap and take a walk nearby.

Is this place CLOSED? Went there last night at around 5:20 pm and it was pitch black. I’m sure the Thai place next door is loving that…

You have to try their Indian Pizzas. The Aloo Gobi is the definition of 5 stars, as good as it gets.

This has become our favorite restaurant. We love this«Indian-Italian Fusion» place innovative combos that our palate crave. It comforts and delights at same time. Ok we admit it we crave their food! We love their pizza’s(gourmet chicken pizza, the tandoori pizza and others). My husband loves their spaghetti and meatballs. The calzones and the wraps are scrumptious too. I dream about their cheesy garlic bread. There is something for everyone. Trad Italian & Indian dishes and a fusion of both/ Try the Tandoori pizza is comes spicy but you can order it on the mild side!

I have been to Flour and Spice many times and I love their Indian Pizza collection. They offer a variety of Indian pizzas especially being a vegetarian I love their veggie masala and aloo gobi pizza(potato and cauliflower combo). They also offer a wide variety of Pastas, Wraps and Paninis which is a rare combination along with Indian pizza. I highly recommend this place who wanted to try a mix of Indian and Italian fusion food.

Ok this place is AMAZING. I went here with my family for the first time the other night for dinner and it was just incredible. I’ll be honest, I enjoy Italian food and I enjoy Indian food but the thought of the combination didn’t sound all that appetizing at first… Needless to say, after trying their food I’ve changed my mind! I had pasta(which was delicious!) but I also got to try the Indian pizza which, let me just say, was some of the best pizza I’ve had in California. The service was great, friendly staff, food was amazing, price was very reasonable. 5 stars without a doubt! Can’t wait to go back…

Excellent fresh light food. My son and I split a pizza ½ tandoori chicken and ½ Paneer. Both were well made but a little bland. We like it spicy! The owner informed me that she can make it anyway we like. I will be back very soon. Excellent food, prices and service!

My first time at an Indian-Italian Fusion restaurant! The service was on point; the lady at the front was very courteous. As recommended, I ordered the Tandoori Chicken Calzone. As the calzone arrived, I was happily surprised to a softer crust than I’m usually used to having for calzones. The cheese was VERY stretchy– another good perk in my book. The jalapeños were not overly spicy– which I think was a good thing because I could taste all the spices from the tandoori chicken in the mix of onions and bell peppers. The chicken itself was cooked well– no problems there. Overall, I’m glad that I got the Tandoori Chicken Calzone! I’m looking forward to coming again with friends and trying the Mango Chaat Pizza.

I have been at this place several times mainly during lunch. This is a great place to go if you have a group with varying tastes — there is something here for everyone. I have tried Whole Wheat veggie wrap and Mango Chaat Pizza. Both are outstanding. Just the wrap itself is very delicious. I can just eat the wrap itself. I have never had a Pizza with so flavor full toppings. They use fresh ripe Mango along with Jalapeño peppers. These two ingredients go really well. My colleagues have ordered Tandoori Chicken Pizza and they were also very happy with the quality. Another colleague had ordered Meat Calzone and he wanted to come back too. This is a unique restaurant — not your ordinary Pizzeria and certainly not a generic Indian one. The new owner seems to be doing a great job of creating very creative fusion dishes.

I have a feeling that I didn’t order the right things on the menu. I came here with a group, and we started by ordering a Tandoori chicken pizza. The pizza came out hot, but it was a little bland. The crust was cooked ok but could have used a little more char, and the chicken was a little on the dry side. I ordered spaghetti with chicken cutlet for my main, and it was just okay. The cutlet was a little dry, and it could have used a bit more cheese on top. The pasta itself was cooked well, but it just felt that I could do just as well preparing the dish at home.

Friendly welcome and tasty food. Between 4 and 5 stars. Six of us came here for a book club meeting on a weeknight. We had a lovely welcome, and very helpful service. I only had a salad and some naan bread(which was not on the menu, but they were happy to make me). Everyone else with me had different styles of indian pizzas. They thought they were all very tasty. The masala one was a bit spicy(which is good) but all had a great amount of flavor. My salad was delicious, very fresh and perfectly dressed. Service too was very friendly, but a little slow. It’s not a problem if you don’t mind a bit of a wait.(Beverages took the longest – we had to ask a couple times.) One of the nice parts of the restaurant was that it was not too noisy. We were actually able to have a conversation! We will definitely be back.

A big shout out to Radha for totally turning this place around. I did not even remember that I had visited Gumba’s before until I sat down to write an update to my prior review. Radha took over Gumba’s a couple of months ago. She has transformed the restaurant by overhauling the menu to include Indian pizzas, paninis, soups, salads and other Indian dishes. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavorful taste of the paneer sizzler and and of the paneer tikka masala pizza. The paneer tikka masala pizza I highly recommend! The naan was so soft and light that it broke off right in our fingers. Radha has many more plans to revamp and give this place a different identity than the one it had previously and she is off to a great start. Watch this space.

We went there as a group to try Indian Pizza and we were blown away. The mango chat Pizza was off the hook. A friend of mine tried the pasta and he ordered another one to take home. The garlic fries were the same awesome taste as you get at the ball park. Yummy. The food was really great and the staff was really cheerful. The owner, Radha was running around like a champ to take orders and serve the clients. Great service

Came here trying to get rid of my coupons as each place I like, tends to cancel their partnership with them. This place was the same as I was informed by the sign at the register that they will not accept any more coupons as of April 15. Too bad, but I still gave Gumba’s a chance as their India pizza sounds quite enticing. I ordered a large pizza(half paneer, half tandoori chicken). The service is friendly and the lady at the register was very kind. Having tried both of the slices of pizza, they were good but I felt like they were missing maybe an extra element to make it even better. Me and a friend agreed but it might just be us expecting a curry sauce topping or something to boost the flavor just a tad. Definitely willing to come back and give the pizza another chance or have a taste at one of the many things on the menu.

Been here twice — both ordered online and then pickup, for their pizza and I love it. The process is simple and straightforward, paid online so everything was smooth. The large is a great size for the price and really enjoyed the Tandoori Chicken Pizza and the Aloo Gobi Pizza. Will be back again!

We were looking for a place close to the Chinese school my kids go to on Saturday afternoons and Gumba’s showed up on the radar screen. I seem to recall the older generation of Gumba’s that no longer exist where the NorCal Shelby(ford mustang) Club used to meet. Anyway, less i digress… My kids and i found this quaint little restaurant, along a quieter stretch of stevens creek, fun to go to and not being too adventurous stayed with the italian selections which were reasonably priced. We started with the garlic fries which come with a side of ketchup. Light and crispy with an intelligent amount of garlic. My kids ordered italian sodas which are a good alternative to typical soda. My son and i split a medium pizza ½ pepperoni and ½ garden delight, flavorful, thin crusted and not greasy, slightly burnt edges. What was most noteworthy was how my 7 year old daughter completely devoured a ½ order of spinach ravioli with pesto sauce, she then proceeded to finish almost ½ my greek/spinach salad. I went to their refrigerator before dinner and picked a decent beer(fat tire ale) from their modest selection. If i wasn’t driving i’d probably have had a second beer.(probably a Heineken). We picked a table for three by the window which may have been the only table needing The legs to be stabilized to keep from rocking, and the sweet waitress was very polite to add some folded up newsprint to keep us from rocking. Pleasant experience. I would go back, if not for anything else just to see my little girl pork out on green ravioli. Now if only they had a big parking lot, it could become a car club meeting spot.(could always do smoky burnouts at the post office across the street, i suppose)… Just joking, I appreciate the quiet ambiance of the restaurant.

The Tandoori Chicken pizza is the best. The flavor and spice fusion on a pizza is pure genius. This place is a hidden gem and definitely worth many more visits to explore the entire menu. I also had a chance to try a chicken panini sandwich that was extremely fresh. The service was perfect.

Is this related to the Gumbas in Sunnyvale? I couldnt see the connection from the Italian food menu. But then they have Desi pizza and Himalayan food too? Wacky. We went for the latter. Sizzling plates of chicken and paneer and an order of momo. The chicken was ok, paneer better, but the winners were the momo and naan that came with the meal. If you look around photos of Himalayan sites and goods sold in the corner. Not sure what to make of it. Based on the naan the pizza might be good but i think the scattered focus is werird. 3.5 stars

I always go to this restaurant in my lunch time. They have a very welcoming, friendly and great service. The managers are really nice. The food that really drags me there is the Chicken momo and chow mein. I absolutely recommend this place. Just give it a try. I am sure you will like. I was also told by one of my cousine. Since the first time, its always been a great experience.

So I got a veggie sandwich. Apparently half the ingredients aren’t even in this and they thought I needed a diet. It was a handful of fries and huge pieces of bread with a few quarter slices of veggies and a slight spread of some cheese. All this for a wonderful $ 8. I ate the fries and took a bite out of the sandwich and it was just, «meh» so I threw it away. I didn’t like wasting food like that but what can I do? So basically my issue is this, just because I am not physically there to pick up my order(my work uses a catering service) doesn’t mean you can execute a half ass effort to put my food together. I had to go buy lunch out and since it was literally last minute I had to drive around thinking of what to get and run into road blocks due to construction I didn’t know was there and prolonging my lunch hour. It was not a great lunch hour to say the least. This is my first time ordering Gumbas and I’m not the only person who complained about«lack of ingredients».
