Based on the 2.5 star review, I almost didn’t come here. I would honestly rated 3.5 stars. I judge a place based on the quality of the food in the taste, and not really about the service. When I’m with my bowl of PHO, it’s me in the bowl. This bowl of PHO is quite good. I like how it has tripe be balls and tendon. I would come here again definitely. It’s a lot cleaner then I read the reviews and also the staff seemed OK with me. They were not extremely nice there were no smiles, but the food came quickly and now I’m digging it.

This place has great noodles and is also a very healthy choice if you are looking for good food. Jazen tea is also there which is great because I love the drinks there. Stuff isn’t too pricy, about $ 12 for a regular bowl of phở

HUONGISTHERUDESTSERVEREVER! DONTCOMEHERE! AVOIDHERATALLCOST! I came in on Sunday(father’s day) for a quick lunch since our family had busy plans that day. My parents and my sister arrived first. From what my sister said huong was extremely rude, barely understands english, and basically hates her job. They all ordered the combo meal, which includes phở and a jazen tea of your choice. My sister hadn’t decided on her drink yet so she asked huong to take my parents’ orders first and get back to her, she started lecturing her NONONOYOUORDERNOWWITHYOFOOD. UM… RUDE! strike 1… When I arrived I wanted to order the #27 beef stew, and from previously experience I knew it came with a different noodle than the vermicelli type I liked, so I specifically requested VERMICELLINOODLE. My dad and sister also ordered no cilantro(they’re allergic) and not only was there cilantro, Huong gave us the biggest eyeroll/soo much attitude when we reminded her no cilantro and requested a new one. UMSTRIKE2! My phở came before my drink and when I asked her, she not only forgot what I ordered but yelled at the other servers even though her ass was the one too blind to see it was just waiting on the counter already! When MY food came out, she forgot the noodles I specifically requested and she was no where to be found. STRIKETHREE!!! I finally asked another server(I think Helen?) who apologized and brought out my vermicelli noodles. I greatly appreciate the gesture, however, the noodle was hard and not cooked yet. My soup had already cooled down so my meal was unsatisfying and so disappointing. Overall, they definitely attempted to upscale their restaurant with their new interior designs and decorations. However, the service and food failed to impress. My family USED to come visit this phở spot years ago. No wonder we haven’t been back since. ANDTHERE’S NOWAYINHELL I’M GOINGTORETURNUNLESSHUONGISFIRED!

The food was really good and we were going there a few times a week, but then something strange happened. We ordered an extra peanut sauce with our«to go» order. The peanut sauce was all watered down and was thin and tasted sugary. Were they that cheap to put sugary water in it so they would just use one? Did they think we wouldnt notice? We have found a new restaurant and have not eaten there since. What a disappointment!

The phở here is amazing! The noodles are cooked to perfection. The soup is tasty. My parents and I love this place. My friend does too! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family and other people! The service is great! There is jazen tea inside the restaurant!

I like this Phở Hoa whenever I am in the Cupertino area, however, being a franchise, the recipe isn’t 100% as consistent as it should be. Calamari and soup base is slightly different and they use disposable chopsticks instead of reusable.

This restaurant is open until 11, which is nice considering most restaurants in the area are closed by 9. However, the food and service here is mediocre at best. Not all the waiters are fluent in English so make sure to confirm your entrees after everyone’s done ordering. Also, try to come in and order instead of calling in if you have time because they forgot my spring rolls the last time I called in. The service can get pretty subpar. Flagging down the waiters can be difficult, especially if you take more than a couple minutes looking over the menu. I ordered the brisket and steak phở and the portions were decently generous but the broth was just warm and pretty bland and salty. I actually prefer driving to Phở Minh next to Marina, even if it’s a little further drive for me. If it wasn’t for the boba, I probably wouldn’t come back!

Can’t say I’ve ordered the food here, but I primarily came for the Jazen tea on my way to my friends place before dinner. This is more of a rant but, the waitresses had trouble understanding when my friend and I ordered in English. It was a bit frustrating especially when 60−80% of the people speak English around here. It took at least 5 – 10 minutes for our drinks to come out which was odd, since there weren’t too many people in the restaurant and one of them just finished eating his food. The good thing is that the drinks were great. Until they improve their English comprehension I won’t be coming back, unless I’m meeting a friend for lunch or dinner down here.

My friend took me here because I really wanted some Phở(obviously). And she said she always goes here and it’s really good. She also said they’re always open until 11pm, which is cool I think. We came in at about 9 on a Wednesday night, and it’s self seating. I think they expect regulars to always come in because they didn’t really give us time to look over the menu. I told him to give me one sec and he never came back! The other girl ended up coming back taking our order. I ordered the spicy popcorn chicken, hot tea and large vegetable phở. My friend ordered some steak phở and also regular popcorn chicken. They have a selection of smoothies I wanted to try but it was too cold. You can get a combo meal of phở or a tea or smoothie drink, which I think is pretty cool and never really see combo meals at places. The spicy popcorn chicken wasn’t actually spicy, when they give you your order(if they remember) they hand you some type of chile powder to put on top of it, which I didn’t mind, it tasted pretty good. Phở tasted nice. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it was good. For some reason not spicy enough for me with the usual cilantro and jalapeños — I ask for extra. Stars are for the food and music, they play EDM in the restaurant. Service could be bumped up a way bit. My friend says she always goes here but they always get her order wrong. –they don’t write it down.

Ambience: 4⁄5 Service: 4⁄5 Food: 4⁄5 The ambience of the restaurant is nice. It looks new and also looks like it has a lot of space, with plenty of places to sit. I personally liked how they were playing trance in the restaurant because it’s one of my favorite genres of music. Anyway it’s a pretty solid restaraunt atmosphere. The service was good. We had our order taken in a timely manner and the food came out very quickly. Nothing special, just regular service but honestly that’s what I expect from most restaurants so the service was adequate. I ordered a regular sized chicken phở(#18, $ 8.95) and a regular milk tea(25oz, $ 3.75). Not sure why this place is rated as low as it is(2.5÷5 stars as of this review). The phở was pretty solid. I usually don’t put any additives into my phở and today was no exception. The broth tasted fine on it’s own and didn’t need any extra sauces or anything. The portions were pretty good as well, and a regular size bowl filled me up though I could also see myself ordering a large next time I’m here. I was kind of skeptical at the price of milk tea here but after seeing how much they give you, that skepticism was gone. All in all, this was a good experience and I will be back if I’m in the area.

I love Phở. I moved here from Seattle and had yet to find a good spot. I tried a few different ones with no luck. Came here for lunch a couple days ago and had #30(spring rolls) and #40(brisket and flank steak phở). Spring roll was alright. There was a weird thin processed meat thing in the roll that I didn’t care for… Took it out and enjoyed. The phở though was actually pretty good. Will definitely go here again to satiate phở cravings :) the only issue I had was that the flank steak was a bit too fatty for me! But overall I would recommend it to someone. Also, the regular size is a decent bowl of phở… Unless you have a huge appetite, I’d order a regular or a small. Regular is $ 8 which seems right to me.

Never been to a Phở place where a «large» bowl is $ 11 On top of that I’ve never been to a phở place where the broth was so salty I woke up the next morning feeling like I was drinking all night and woke up with a hangover. Never again.

Stop eating here. This place had a cockroach infestation(and most recently, backed up sewage!) and still raised menu prices, all the while regularly serving customers. Check sccgov food inspection reports(google this).

I frequent this place, because they do the Five Star Rewards card. If you buy 10 bowels you receive a free meal, also children eat free after 2:30pm. However, today we went to this place to redeem our reward and the guy was really rude about it. Dude if you are going to be rude about it stop offering 5 star! Simple as that!

WOW Went in for a brisket + flank phở and a strawberry smoothie from Jazen Tea. At first, I thought the phở was delicious. It came in a huge portion that I couldn’t finish, but it tasted fantastic. On top of the fact that the meat was cooked to perfection, the service was also great. I was so happy with Phở Hoa. However, a few hours later, something didn’t feel right … cue food poisoning. Hence, the two stars. If you didn’t believe that cleaniness is a problem here, believe it now.

Food is very ok… nothing too special, but a decent place if you’re looking for a quick lunch. Interior is new compared to how it was like in the past. Service is good. FOOD Summer rolls: Nothing too special. The skin was really sticky for some reason but I appreciated the fact that it didn’t have a gross weird smell that some spring roll skins have. There were too many noodles inside for my liking and not enough variety. It was just shrimp, a piece of lettuce and noodles. I’ve definitely had better vietnamese rolls elsewhere with more veggies and even pork inside. It gives it more flavor and more pizzazz as opposed to here where it’s just shrimp, lettuce and a ton of noodles. Don’t think it’s worth the money. You’re essentially eating rolls with 80% noodle lol. Steak & Meatball Just Enough Phở: Got the just enough size for a little over $ 7. The bowl is pretty dang small. Might be just enough for us ladies but for men, definitely not enough I would imagine, at least my bf haha. The meatballs were okay, not the best meatballs I’ve had and the steak was not bad. Quality of meat here isn’t bad but it’s not great either. Nonetheless, the steak was cooked pretty tender and it wasn’t dry so that was a plus. The broth was okay too, could be more flavorful but it was decent. I’m pretty sure they use MSG though because every time I eat here, I live feeling extra thirsty and my tongue feeling really tingly. SERVICE The waitress was super friendly and nice and when I asked her to cook the bean sprouts before giving them to us to add into the phở, she was very willing to do so. She was very attentive to any of our needs as well be it water, straws, anything. Food came fast, within 5 – 10 minutes and we were out of there in no time. OVERALL Not bad for a quick meal but don’t have too high of expectations. If you’re looking for super high quality phở, this might not be the place, but if you’re looking for a quick place to get in and out of, this doesn’t fail!

So, here’s the story. My boyfriend and I have been frequenting this particular Phở Hoa Noodle Soup for months now, without ANY incidence of food poisoning. Not even once. Last Friday night, my boyfriend messaged me, letting me know that our beloved Phở Hoa was temporarily closed due to an expired health permit or failure to pass a health inspection or something of that sort. We were really sad. Last night, we drove by Phở Hoa and were overjoyed to see that it was open again! We went in for a late night mini-meal and ordered two steak and briskets, one with the regular beef broth(for me) and the other with the spicy seafood broth(for him). I received a text earlier this morning from my boyfriend around 3:30am letting me know that he was suffering from«mad diarrhea.» Shit… literally. Bad news for me, since I finished his leftovers. Fast forward 12 hours, and we’re both on the verge of death. Multiple trips to the bathroom, headache, body aches, and fever. Damn, Phở Hoa, you did us so dirty. If this is the last review I write because of you, then I wish you would have stayed closed forever.

**Phở Quest Stop #38** Phở Hoa is a Vietnamese phở chain with locations as diverse as Canada and Asia as well as many locations in the United States. Back before there were as many quality phở places as there are now, it was a place to go for a consistent, albeit, average bowl of phở. Prices are slightly higher than the low prices in Phở Central(San Jose) but are altogether reasonable for a quick meal. They now offer a «Just The Right Size» smaller bowl here for $ 5.45 as well as a regular for $ 7.45. The issue I’ve had with Phở Hoa and it pertains to the chain locations I’ve tried is that they have refused to offer rare beef on the side. As a person who doesn’t like my meat overcooked and who also values authenticity, it’s bugged me because basically every phở restaurant I’ve been to in the area has been able to do it. I’ve speculated it may be for reasons related to company policy, the precooked nature of the flank steak, or even the quality issues serving it rare and non-frozen. As for the phở itself, I find the broth to be average and the noodles to be a touch overcooked. All beef was cooked very well done and the tendons were actually too firm. As some have said, the phở here is consistent and fills the belly if there are few choices around at a certain hour or location. For me, I usually just drive to Tully and choose from among the much better options there. This location has partnered with Sipatea(not sure if that’s universal) and it seems a good collaboration. They attract high school and college students who want something cheap to eat and drink. Phở Hoa accepts credit cards, including American Express.
