What a great, genuine, authentic place. I wish we had one in B’ham like this!
Everything is made fresh for real, and their desserts… never had a homemade sweet treat more truly homemade than that!
Top of the top, customer service is top priority and made out of actual care about their customers.
One more, all prices are tax-​included. I love that! I wish any shop in the States would embrace that. How great it is that you actually know how much you’ll have to pay, before having to pay?!

The reviews are accurate, this place is great. Very fast, friendly service, excellent food, great price, very clean inside. Would eat here daily if I worked in this town.

True southern restaurant complete with southern hospitality. Everything was beyond great. If I could give it more stars I would. Strawberry cake is life changing I kid you not.

In the Lake Martin area, if you are around the north east side of the lake, Home Plate café is a superb meat and three style place to go. It is located closer to downtown than noted above. Unilocal has the address wrong. It’s actually closer to the intersection with S Spring St by Lakeshore Discount Pharmacy. They serve cafeteria style, you go through the line and order your choice of meat plus 3 veggies. The food is really well done and the service is great. A waitress stopped by our table a couple of times to check on us and was genuinely friendly. It’s not far off of US Hwy 280 so if you’re passing through Dadeville and want to eat somewhere local, Home Plate Café is an excellent choice!
