Wonderful fluffy buttermilk pancakes and great service! Décor is eclectic and lots to look at it.

This was a fun, hipster type café. The food was delicious! I has the sourdough grilled chicken sandwich with herb mayo, avocado, tomato, lettuce, and cheese. It came with tortilla chips and salsa. I order some tea which was overpriced for a bag and small cup $ 2.65. My friend ordered a naked chicken fried chicken, naked mashed potatoes, and broccoli. She enjoyed her meal. Only con I have besides the tea bring overpriced is the outfits the waitresses wore/wear. We noticed a lady coming in and it was clear she didn’t have on a support garment and the dress was so short. I understand the feel for the restaurant is fun and hipster but that was a bit much. Overall, the food was great and I’d visit again and pick my waitress.

Dined outside. Spent $ 50 total ticket got the bums rush from the older guy when the kitchen closed and a band came on stage to play … twenty bucks or leave… enjoyed most everything but wY to many places to go. All Done with All good. And that’s just fine.

My friends and I went to check this place out mainly because we had seen it featured on an episode of Food Paradise on the Food Network. They were spotlighted because of their bacon. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, and it’s located in a great part of Deep Ellum. Everyone enjoyed their food. The only thing we didn’t enjoy was the bacon. It came out burnt. Literally charred. That was a huge disappointment. Otherwise, I’d go again so I can try more of the menu.

Tuesday nights«2 for 1″ entrée is the best time to try this spot. This is a great deal! The food was OK. The fried shrimp platter was a lot better than I expected. The roasted corn salad and slaw sides were fresh and homemade. My hubby got the chicken fried steak which was a little tough, but had pretty good flavor. The mashed potatoes were yummy, but the glazed carrots are much too sweet and would work better as part of a dessert. Service was also OK. In a Deep Ellum world of really good places, this one is ‘OK.» They have live music some nights. Those are probably the best nights to go. We might check out a music event there one night.

The one review I saw about crappy food and service was spot on. This shows how foolish people are to wait in line 30 minutes for this so-called food. My daughter’s pancakes were rock hard and burned on the bottom. I ordered The Montado breakfast. The sirloin was very tough and chewy. The ranchero sauce was like water and the corn tortilla was like cardboard. The potatoes were raw and undercooked and the black beans were cold, flavorless, and obviously out of a can. The plate was overpriced and the portion was quite skimpy. The noise level was also quite loud. Our waitress never checked on us again. She delivered our check with the food. If this is what suffices for good food in Dallas, I’m pleased to say that I won’t ever return here and I would advise others to avoid this place. How hard is it to make pancakes, fry eggs, and grill a steak?

I was here for dinner and had a great experience! The food was wonderful, the service fast and friendly and the music was mellow and really enjoyable. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak and said it was quite tasty. I had the chicken piccata, and while the portion was a little small, it was delicious. We’ll be back.

Customer service is one of those elements that either makes it a memorable experience or ruins otherwise good food. Customer service here was a careful balance between indifference and quiet sufferance. Waitstaff seemed more interested in talking to each other and a few handful of tables than seeing me wave my hand for the check. The experience was symbolized when at one point a waitress asks me to move so she can sweep a few scraps of paper under my chair: in other words, the customers are getting in the way of them doing their jobs. The place is nonetheless packed due to a combination of acceptable food, hot location, and funky hipster vibe. Lots of other better choices in the area.

Would never dine here again. Service was horrible, the ambiance was horrible as well. I was told I could sit anywhere Id liked, as it was a Monday morning and was not busy at all. When I chose my table the host told me that I Couldn’t sit there and chose my seat for me. He then brought my check to my before my food even got to my table.

I’ve been coming here for quite some time now and I have always liked the service, food and prices, the servers are always nice and fast. However, last night was the exemption with a not little detail: It was Saturday night and they had live music, I got there with my family, ordered food and drinks and by 8: pm they switched bands and the manager of the place(an older rude guy) started passing around the tables collecting what I thought were tips for the musicians… it wasn’t tips, it was a $ 10.00/person cover to listen to the next band on stage. There was no sign at the entrance nor on the tables saying about this cover so I asked him«Is this serious?(Even my family was laughing because they thought it was a joke)…the guy in a rude manner said«If you don’t want to pay the cover just pay your check and leave»…it wasn’t that I didn’t want to pay for the cover, it was just that I didn’t know about it. I told the guy to charge the cover to my check, but to make things worse the cover was cash only, and the guy said«there’s an ATM outside, go now to get the cash»…all in a rude manner… I didn’t see it as a good way from this guy to handle his business or treat the customers. In the end the band didn’t start playing until we finished our food(not that they were waiting for us but they were just getting ready to play), and we just left… people from a few other tables also left. I think they have lost a good customer.

They served breakfast. It was only after the fact that we learned of their famous peppered bacon. Oops. Interesting posters on the walls. Origami birds tethered to ceiling. The staff was cold and indifferent. Just like this review.

Long wait, food came out cold, and server was rude and not accomodating to the situation. Unfortunately we tried this place because of Unilocal and will never be going back. I feel bad, for the 1 star review but I wouldn’t go to a place where your your treated like dirt, regardless of the quality of food. I go to every place with no expectations and give them a chance to prevail and this turned out to not be one of them. If you choose to go here, prepare to wait and be treated like you don’t matter.

Horrible service. Went here on a Sunday for brunch. Waited 20 mins to be seated. They sat us at a dirty table in which we had to ask to be cleaned. Finally, we get water with no straws. After 20 mins of waiting for out order to be taken we got up and left. Waste of time!

Disappointment, was expecting more from the reviews. I had a 3 egg omelette, it was fine, but my kids chicken fried fingers way over cooked, she never touched them. Place doesn’t really have any character either. Only reason I would eat here is if I lived close by for breakfast, not worth the travel. Much better places in Deep Ellum. Menu was lacking as well.

Don’t get me wrong, the food is good! Basic brunch items with an emphasis on eggs(plus 1 pancake plate) and everything tastes great. One of my friends did not like the sharp cheese on her eggs, but overall it was very tasty. Not anything vastly different or better than any other place, but good nonetheless. We got queso(thanks for the tip, Unilocalers!) and then we all got different omelette combinations. Also, mimosas are only $ 2.95! All the time! I think what people like about this place is the hipster deep Ellum atmosphere, and needless to say, it is VERYHIPSTER. If you are kind of weary of this sentiment, beware. I took away stars because the service wasn’t good. It took 15 minutes to get anyone to pay attention to us even though we sat at a prominent table, and our waitress acted like she hated us, even though we didn’t do anything out of the ordinary and were friendly to her. Maybe she was having a bad day? Anyway, Dallas is FULL, if not SATURATED with brunch places, and I think I’ll try a different one next time!

Had the meatloaf special. It tasted, well, like Mom’s but a tiny bit blander. Service was pretty good for a late lunch. Not the greatest ever, but for a quick workday lunch, it hits the spot.

Heard good things about this place. I’ll be brief: first timer, metered parking, cute hispter décor, pancakes were amazing and fluffy, service not memorable or really doesn’t seem like they’re trying, the restaurant itself had a weird smell/stench that wouldn’t let me enjoy my breakfast. Wouldn’t really go out of my way to frequent this place again.

Average diner food — eclectic atmosphere. I went to All Good for a late breakfast(served until 3pm). The place is filled with eclectic décor. Slightly nicer décor than your neighborhood crapplebees but same concept of putting a bunch of junk on the walls and pretending it looks good. You can’t really mess up breakfast but it can be average. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and ended up being disappointed. The biscuits were really dry and stiff with the gravy being nothing special. The bacon was slightly over cooked. I like crispy bacon but this came out close to cremated. Service wasn’t memorable. Three different people helped the table and their timing seemed a little off. This place has some great deals during the week — two for one dinner on Tuesdays, half off wine on Wednesdays. It’s worth checking out if you live in the area but not worth a long drive.

I had heard a few good things about this place from friends, so I had to take a look. I went on a beautiful Saturday early afternoon for brunch. While it was packed, we got to our table within 15 minutes. The food portions were tiny for the price, but the food was great! Service was also good. There’s so much to pick from, I don’t think you can go wrong with anything. Deep Ellum is a fun place, and this place just adds to the tone of the neighborhood — it’s slightly quirky in the inside. Fun and easy place to brunch — I recommend it.

A very charming café. I had the Breakfast 2 with scrambled eggs, peppered bacon, and a short stack of pancakes. Immediately I dive into the pancakes. They were warm, just thick enough, and soaked up the syrup nicely. I was not disappointed. But what I loved even more was their bacon. It had a good coating of pepper on it but not overwhelming. «Dine with Shayda reviews — AllGood Café — a favorite stop for musicians. The waitresses were nice enough and the restaurant itself was cute in an old way that makes it perfect for Deep Ellum, but as a former Austinite, I’m embarrassed that such a fantastic city of food is being so poorly represented up here. «No Good Café» would be a more honest name since both the dishes we ordered were edible at best. Both the animal proteins, fish tacos and chicken fried steak, tasted like they were left out half a day too long. So I wrapped my fluffy egg whites in the crispy batter(both of which they did do well) and created a chicken fried egg for breakfast. Although a waitress did come by to ask if everything was good, could I seriously lodge a complaint when my husband had already eaten everything I couldn’t? The bill came out to around $ 20, as expected, but we couldn’t help lamenting how that same amount was spent on enough delicious food to feed us both for lunch with leftovers for dinner just the day before at a Mediterranean place.

Everything is good about All Good Café, and this cute, eclectic café, has quickly become me and my boyfriend’s go to for a delicious weekend breakfast. If you come here on a Saturday or Sunday after 11, expect to wait on their«stage» with a bunch of others waiting to get sat for a home cooked meal. Everything about this place is eclectic & hipster — including the people. A great addition to the Deep Ellum vibe where the people watching is plentiful. As for the food — it is just as incredible. My favorites are the mega breakfast sandwich, the biscuits and gravy, and the Breakfast #2 with strawberries. All made with farm fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The mega breakfast sandwich has a fried egg, shaved, ham, avocado, tomato, and Tabasco mayo. By far one of the best breakfast sandwiches in Dallas. Favorite part of the whole experience — they serve your coffee in random mugs collected by who knows. One day you might get a cat, one day you might get souvenir mug from Colorado. Just another reason why you have to go!

Was not an «all good» experience. Waitresses all seemed despondent and forgot everything. Napkins, silverware, water refills. One came by to drop off the check(note: pay at the cash register so you don’t wait unnecessarily even longer) and asked if everything was okay. My mom and I asked for a to-go box and two minutes later we see her wrapping silverware and having a good time at another table. The food was good. Tasty focaccia bread for my moms turkey sandwich. Greasy, toasted French bread for my cheese and chile sandwich. My mom(who’s straight outta Mexico) didn’t like the side of guac. Too chunky, and too many chunks of tomato and onion. Needed a spoon to serve on chips. And she thought it was weird to have Catholic prayer candles at every table. You’re only supposed to light then for religious prayer, not to light up your dinner with. But whatever, appropriation is everywhere, I get it. This place is going for that«Austin, without having to drive thru Waco» theme. Service: 2 Food: 3 Atmosphere: Deep Ellum. To enjoy this place, go at night and be drunk.

Hungry in Deep Ellum? Go anywhere BUT here! Yuck! Ordered the chicken friend steak and the meat was rancid. Not just«Oh, I think this meat might be a bit old,» but«wow! What DIED in here?!» rancid. I had to go grab a waitress from her table where they sat, texting and hanging out… when they weren’t outside smoking a cigarette. She was nice and took it away and off our check(uh, thanks…). I’d never go back and I’d never recommend this place to anyone.

I had a really nice experience at All Good. I came in for a working lunch on a Monday with low expectations and, based on reviews I’d read, intending to stick to basic breakfast food. I was the first to arrive in our group of 8, and when I requested a table the staff was quick to help, super nice and very attentive. They pushed together two tables for me and immediately brought ice water and menus as I waited for my coworkers. My coworkers finally arrived about 20 minutes later, but never once did I feel unwelcome or pressured to order, which I greatly appreciated. In fact, the service was great throughout the meal. I decided to ignore advice I’d read warning me away from salads and ordered the Exotic Salad(mixed greens, avocado, mango, red wine vinaigrette) topped with grilled salmon. It was DELICIOUS! The salmon was beautifully grilled, warm and tender, and it complemented the salad so well. The salad wasn’t perfect(an oddly pocked tomato, some wilted lettuce, tough mango) but all in all it far exceeded my expectations and I left full and satisfied. One of my coworkers ordered the Breakfast #2(pancakes, eggs and sausage) and she loved the pancakes. Since they were so big she was unable to finish them, so I took a small bite and I can confirm they are dense and delicious(and they come with pure maple syrup!) Another coworker of mine raved about the quality of her enchiladas. All in all, we all had a pretty good time. My opinion of All Good has changed. It’s not just a basic greasy spoon where you should only order breakfast food(although that is their specialty). It’s a fun little restaurant with a wide variety of options, and I look forward to returning and trying them all.

All Good is where you go when you’re hungover the next morning to the point of pure alcohol vomit. You can’t just eat at any crappy diner because it would make you even more nauseated. No, you have to eat at a place that’s still somehow crappy despite using«quality ingredients». You go in and get yourself some crappy coffee in a crappy old mug circa 1990’s. You sit in a crappy booth and order some crappy scrambled eggs with cheese. Then you get it and the cheese isn’t even melted as if they just spooned some refrigerated cheese on top. Your crappy biscuits and gravy are hard and the chili on your omelette will most likely give you painful alcoholic diarrhea. You’re hungover though. So, all of this crappy-ness entering your body is aiding in your day long recovery. The soft breakfast potatoes dipped in crappy ketchup is actually helping you! Unfortunately, Pat Baby doesn’t like to party so he experienced all of this crappy-ness without any sort of filter. Yeah. Sounds like we won’t be back again ever.

Cute Lil place that has that South Austin Hipster feel. I am in the middle with this place. I usually catch breakfast here. It can be good, but, they don’t offer hashbrowns. Instead they offer oven roasted potatoes. Boring. It would be nice if this place would offer up some real fried potatoes. That would really set them apart on the breakfast scene. If you’re an eggs and pancakes person, which I am sometime, you’ll like this place for sure. Not the best breakfast in town, but, it is good. They support local which is always a plus on my book, and, can sometimes help me overlook those little things. Not with supper though. You get treated to live music and beers, but, the service is slow. We ordered meatloaf and shrimp. The shrimp was a bit pricey, but, good. As for the meatloaf? Oh Lord what a disaster. It was dry and bland. I don’t think they used any tomato product in the mix to give it some moisture. Instead, what they did was put a very tangy tomato sauce on top once it hit my plate. It was horrible. IMO, it makes a better breakfast place.
