Ate here twice in one week. First time was amazing. Had the yellow curry noodles. Soo tasty. Second time, has the spring rolls, yellow curry fried rice and coconut soup. The soup was great. Mixed it with the fried rice to make it better. That is all I can say about my second visit. Maybe I will try again to see if the bad meal was a fluke.

Pretty yummy! I got the pad see lew with extra sauce, cream cheese rolls, side of fried rice, and coconut soup. Tasty, but the coconut soup is a little spicy even though I asked for not spicy at all. Still good, just not as soothing as I hoped for. That being said, I’m SUPER sensitive to spicy food so if you don’t mind it much then you should be fine :) wasn’t particularly impressed by the fried rice –would have loved some veggies– but the flavor wasn’t bad. I ordered for pick up and everything was nicely packaged and they sent some plates, forks, spoons, and napkins at my request. Overall good place! A little on the sweet side though so be aware of that.

Love Banana Leaf for lunch! You get a soup, salad and entrée for a great price. My favorite soup is the cucumber soup.

We held a birthday party here for a group of 25 people and it was a good experience overall. We were placed in this semi-private back area, which kept us form disturbing the rest of the patrons. The room was definitely too small to appropriately place the tables we needed, but they managed to make it work by making a T-shaped table. It was an awkward seating arrangement, but it worked out nonetheless. The interior is nicely decorated and the atmosphere is great. The two staff members that assisted us throughout the night did a good job and didn’t mess up any of the orders, which is impressive for a large group. I’m not sure what the other 24 people thought about the food, but I definitely enjoyed my dish! I ordered the massaman curry with a medium spice level. It was really good. I always order massaman curry when I go to a Thai restaurant so I can compare it to my other experiences. It definitely is on the upper portion of my list. I have no complaints at all with the dish; the only thing is that I wish I ordered it a bit spicier. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other dishes! I can tell that Banana Leaf is a quality Thai restaurant!

Just super. The attractive and pleasing presentation of every meal. I ordered lunch $ 8.99. Eggplant with chicken and basil. Very tasty. They also served a delicious cabbage soup and salad with that lunch. I will be back for sure.

Fist time here and everything from the food to the service was top notch. I had the Cajun Rice level 2 and it was amazing. Will return frequently!

In a Nut Shell: We ordered delivery, it was fresh and hot. The things that should be crispy were crispy which is hard on a delivery. We ordered several items and it was decent but nothing to write home about. We might go back but there are so many other places in the area that we love so much more.

LOVE their Chicken pad thai. Chicken is fresh and also flavorful. Friends of ours really enjoyed their curries! Great place to get to go food and you have left overs for the next day! Its our go to Thai place when we want the usual«chicken pad thai» or a curry.

Really all I used to eat is Thai food. I ordered veg Thai fried rice and to tell u the truth this is honestly not the best nor authentic Thai cuisine. Save yourself some money and order from somewhere else. I would not recommend this place at all… Iced tea Tasted so fake :(((

We went during lunch and the service was pretty good. The waitress was nice, and our food came out at a decent time. The thai tea was good, and so as the clear vegetable soup. Then it went down hill… I ordered peanut chicken, and got several slices of white meat chicken that reminded me of Tyson chicken. Then topped it with peanut butter, literally peanut butter smothered on top of my chicken. Then my gf ordered mango chicken, and got orange chicken that you can find from Chinese restaurant, they just added a few chunks of mangoes. Needless to say, entrees were not good, not even close to a real thai food.

YUM! Came in solo, for lunch. Had the red curry, and unlimited soup and salad, along with their house cab. They poured the wine so tall, it could’ve been two glasses. The food was AMAZING and lots left over! The owner is VERYFRIENDLY and came to each table to say hello! THISPLACEIS A DALLASCLASSIC!!!

We ordered the Thai wings, yellow curry rice and the massaman curry for delivery. The wings were raw!!! The inside of the chicken was pink and unreadable. The yellow curry fried rice was bland and the chicken was chewy. The curry wasn’t fully cooked, the vegetables in it were still raw, the potatoes in it were tough to bite on

Food was decent. But they delivered it to my hotel without any utensils. Kinda makes for a challenge to eat curry and veggies. Fortunately I was able to go downstairs and get some but come on!

We came here for dinner, ordered massaman curry, spicy lemon sea bass, and Thai fried chicken. The curry was too sweet, the sea bass sauce was also sweet, and the fried chicken was just ok, nothing Thai about it. I asked for a special/authentic spicy Thai sauce, they gave us Sriracha –_– Then the girl from the kitchen came and picked up our plates when there were food on there. We were aware that they were getting ready to close, but she was rude, did not even ask if we finished or wanted to go, just walked to the table and grabbed all dishes. If you want authentic or at least good Thai food and service, do not come here.

I came here to get a take out order for lunch. I ordered eggplant with one star spicy and an order of fresh spring roll with shrimp. First of all, they have no idea how to put food in their take out box. It’s a plastic container with a big side and a small side. Normally the main dish should be put on the big side and rice on the small side. They put the main dish in the small side and let it overflow to the big side, then put rice on top of the big side. So all the rice was soaked in the sauce like eating really salty congee that’s halfway cooked. Let’s talk about the taste. Eggplant: I understand that they deep fry the eggplant first then stir fry the rest of the vegetables, but all I could taste was oil. Remember I said the rice was all soaked in the sauce? Half of the rice was oil soaked. Yup yummy! Salad roll: nothing special, really plain. Couldn’t really taste the peanut in the peanut sauce. Meh To conclude, the place was packed for lunch so I imagine there must be some good dishes. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish. But a Thai place that can’t get their peanut sauce right plus how the egg plant tasted, I certainly won’t go back again.

This place has the best atmosphere of any Thai restaurant I’ve been to in Dallas, and the staff go above and beyond to provide good service. My waiter, Chris C, was very attentive and polite. I’m the sort of person who gets dishes customized(leave out this, sub for that, etc). This often confuses servers and kitchen staff but everything I ordered came out perfectly. I wasn’t expecting celery in the Pineapple fried rice and could have done without it, but it tasted great regardless. The basil flat noodle was perfect as was the yellow curry. And the fried bananas were a good, not too sweet dessert. I would definately recommend and return to this place. My only complaint is the top 40 music they play. Despite being kept at a low volume it detracts from the cultural experience that eating at an ‘ethnic restaurant’ should be, imo. Had they played traditional Thai music or something instrumental and relaxing I would have given a 5 star review.

A+++. Banana Leaf is one of the two top Thai restaurants in the DFW(Thai’s Thumbz being the other). Great quality, authentic Thai food. If it wasn’t so far away from me, I would be a regular. Great food at great prices, especially during lunch. Banana Leaf was where I had my first Thai food experience several years ago when I was just a kid. But it truly set the bar high. Pad kee mow here is solid. Very flavorful but isn’t overdone. Mango with sticky rice(when mangos are in season) is to die for.

Pretty solid — Had the fresh rolls, tom yum soup, basil noodles, massaman curry, but nothing blew me away. Fresh rolls were pretty standard but good — great peanut sauce Tom Yum — other than the chunks of ginger which were not very easy to eat, it was great. Broth was very flavorable and good amount of spice Basil noodles — Their version of drunken noodles. Great flavor and a strong portion Massaman — Pretty good but the flavor was less pronounced than I prefer in massaman. The muted flavor could have been a result of the contrast to the other dishes. Very reasonably priced, will definitely return and try some other dishes.

Place is nicely decorated, staff is always friendly, and food is always tasty. This is the second time I been here. The first time I had a great experienced. I had the crispy herb fish which was exceptional! Today I came back and got the crispy sweet and sour fish and it was ok. It was the dinner portion since lunch does not have any type of fish as an option. Since we were dining during lunch hours, we were served soup, which tasted just like egg drop soup and added corn. It was hot and delicious. The waitress told us it comes with salad also but was never brought to us, maybe I heard it wrong. The papaya salad was not fresh unfortunately. These all were served in big plates but mostly stacked with lettuce. The papaya was not crispy and crunchy like it should. Last meal we had was the lettuce wrap which was good, plenty of lettuce. Twice I came and got lettuce wrap, both times was great! I will be back when I visit my friend. He lives literally in that area.

The reviews on Unilocal were good so we had to stop. Place is very nice with great service. I tried the Basil Pad-Kapow, 4 stars of course. Got to be spicy! Loved it. Thai food has such unique flavors. Glenda had the shrimp fried rice which was very good. Lunch specials are good deal. We will return.

Wife ordered a delivery… I was surprised they delivered 7 miles from their restaurant in North Dallas to Plano. Either way, we got our delivery in 30 minutes. The delivery driver was very friendly and the food was hot and steamy. We ordered the Pirates Treasure soup(Po-TAK) — This is a spicy soup with shrimp and scallop avored with galanga, lemon grass, kar lime leaves, tomatoes, fresh mushroom, Thai chili and lime juice. This soup has an interesting flavor and was really good! For the entrée, we ordered Pad Thai with regular noodles. This comes with stir-fried with thick rice or clear glass noodle, egg, bean sprout, white and green onion, avored with lime and crunchy peanut. Again, this was delicious. We will definitely be ordering from this place again or stop by for a dine in.

The Pad Kee Mow is good. I love that the amount of basil they use. The satay was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The spicy herb soup was also good and perfect for a cold day. The pineapple fried rice and curries were average. Their portions are great and they give a good amount of protein. They’re not bad, they’re just lacking the normal Thai flavors that I’m used to. It’s a bit toned down. I’m also used to well-balanced flavors and I didn’t taste that here. I do love that they deliver. It gives us different options when we don’t feel like going out.
