Well just left the store and had an eye opening experience. WORDS OF ADVISE: Make sure you know that you CAN NOT RETURN ANYTHING — only store credit! Don’t they know that 11 years olds like something one day and not the next plus the fact that 11 years olds grow like weeds!
Here is how it went:
I was giving pretty good customer service at the point of purchase two days before my HORRIBLE return experience. (NO doubt in my mind that the sales associate was on commission as pushy as she was). I asked the sales associate who was trying to get me to buy anything and everything in the store including two pair of ridiculously expensive pairs of pants ($ 110 per pair). I mentioned that I was not willing to pay that much for a pair of pants for my growing child who would definitely out grown them by the time the holidays arrived — HINT, HINT — I would be a return customer in two months! The sales person proceeded to gather a few miscellaneous sale items that were just OK but cheap. I asked what the return policy was on sale items and she said that they were not returnable AT ALL. So of course I said then «No thank you, I’m not sure my child will like them anyway.» Never in my wildest dreams did I think that the RETURN POLICY included regular price items. AND YES you are thinking was the policy posted — YES it was. Well fast forward to today and voila — I have a merchandise credit (slip of paper — REALLY a slip of paper? I’m sure they are hoping I loose it so they don’t have the honor their part of the sale yet AGAIN) that I have to now keep up with until I use it. I assured them that their policy was inadequate and that once I use this credit that Nordstrom’s will be my store of choice.
Moral of the story:
Always ask the Return Policy before buying ANY item in a fancy boutique store. I was informed by the sales associate that ALL the small boutique stores have this policy. Well so much for helping out the small business owners. I like my BIG store return policies — it suits my lifestyle at the point in my life just fine.
PS Nordstrom’s has all the brands this store does (and more) and they accept returns willingly!
PSS By the way — the owner was there (walked away at the first sign I was unhappy) and did exactly NOTHING to make any of this right. Well good luck to you in this horrible economy, your store has been empty anytime I have been in over the last several months. Maybe you should look at your RETURN policy.

The most appalling customer service! The «manager» of the store treats customers like shoplifters the minute they walk in the door and she and her «staff» follow the customers around from rounder to rounder, constantly looking over their shoulders. Additionally, twice when I have shopped there, because I am a petite adult, I purchased pre-​teen clothes for myself, and the manager –BOTH times, expressed her disapproval that I was purchasing the items for myself. I could not believe my ears– she actually asked me,“WHO are you buying that for?”. I confronted her on her inappropriateness and rudeness, to which she mumbled something and walked away. I told her that a sale is a sale and it is no one’s business whom I am purchasing items. This woman needs to be replaced– she clearly has big issues and takes them out on her customers. I tried to report them to BBB but they weren’t listed. I’d love to see them go out of business due to crazy woman’s hatefulness…

I frequently shop here for my nieces. The clothes are original and stylish.
The staff is helpful and has a knack for coordinating outfits.
I never leave here empty handed. Just wish they carried smaller sizes.

Horrible customer service. Very snotty owner and sales staff. such a shame because they have cute clothes for children… however, they are way too expensive to deal with the rude attitudes. I live in San Diego but come to Dallas often since my family lives here and the last time I visited, it was appalling how they treated us in the store.
I was shopping with my sister, mother and 8 year old niece. My sister came into the dressing room saying she had to go to the bathroom quickly, that she attempted to ask permission from both of the women working, but they were both too busy, so she decided to go ahead, saying she couldn’t hold it any longer and she has used the bathroom before when in the store.
One of the sales people walked in on her as she was using the bathroom. The sales person came out quickly and evidently told the owner who came flying back, telling us the restroom was private and not for public use. There were other shoppers, and we were extremely embarrassed. We should not have been made to feel as if we had done something wrong. We had shopped in this store many times, and we were not being treated with respect.
My mother told the owner who had reprimanded us that she thought her response to us was inappropriate. She said again that the restroom was for private use and mumbled something about their having had trouble before. My sister told her, very nicely, that she had used the restroom in the past.
My mother asked what they do when a child needs to use the restroom since it is a children’s shop, and she said «Most people ask first.» My sister explained that she went to each of them to ask permission, but they were busy. She told them she is on medication and sometimes has to get to a restroom quickly, and since she had used the restroom in the past and couldn’t get their attention to ask permission, she made the decision to use it. It was a matter of being in pain, having an accident or using the restroom. The sales person again became defensive, and I responded that there were other customers in the shop when she spoke so loudly, and we were embarrassed.
Horrible experience. No customer should have to go through what we went though. I wanted to write a Unilocal review so other customers could hear what type of place this really is.
I plan to report them to the BBB as well.
