Finally got a chance to try this place. I was actually impressed at the quality of the burger and ingredients in general. I got the«Wellington» burger and I really enjoyed it. The bread felt homemade and just better quality than most burger places, and the meat was cooked just the way I ordered it. My gf got the veggie burger and she loved it. The garlic fries were good, but could of been better. The garlic used felt like from a can. I wish there would be more set burger selections as opposed to just picking your own ingredients. The cost is a bit on the high side, but in line with the higher end burger places. I will definitely be back!

Wonderful selection! Freshest ingredients! And the veggie burger is out of this world! If I could give it 10 stars I would. Clean, fresh great service and a great price value.

This is a typical over-priced Dallas gourmet burger joint. Their sign in the front window advertises a burger, fries and drink for $ 10.47. But after adding cheese(.99 extra) and substituting onion rings for the fries($ 2 extra), I also got charged an additional $ 3.47 for something called«The Box.» No idea what that is. In the end I ended up paying nearly $ 16. The food was hot and tasted okay, but nothing that made me want to go back at that price point. If you’re interested, my recommendation is to check this place out early since I don’t see it lasting very long.

Ahhggggghhhh! Gross, absolutely horrible The garlic fries were soggy like somebody poured water on top of them. The veggie burger just tasted like beans. It would be a big mistake to go to this restaurant this was the worst food I’ve had in a long long time.

Service was great, but the burger I had was just so so. Nothing too special about it, the meat tasted great, but the tomato was an inch maybe an inch and a half thick and the pickles were really thick as well. I saw this place before it opened to the public and wanted to try it out ever since, but I won’t be back.

I don’t understand why this play is rated as low as it is. I totally disagree with the people that gave it negative review. This is a great burger joint, with high quality beer, delicious fries, and local craft beer. The beef is grass fed, dry aged, and USDA prime. My burger was $ 7. Add $ 1 for cheese. The garlic fries were $ 3.50 and were amazing. Regular fries are $ 2. The Lakewood Larger was $ 6, but they also have Honest Tea and the typical soft drinks you would expect. They carry 5 different Lakewood beers and I think they were all $ 6 or close to that. They also have some specialty«burgers» which includes a suchi grade tuna burger and a Greek with«ground leg of lamb, tzatziki, feta, cucumber, red onion, lettuce and tomato». The owner/operator came out and asked me how everything was. He was a super big fan of their food and after talking a little while he wanted to show me the tuna used for the tuna patty. To put this in perspective, tuna at Whole Foods is almost always +$ 20/lbs. I can’t believe the tuna burger is only $ 12 because the tuna is really, really high quality. IMO there are high priced burger places like Hopdoddy and low cost places like Burger House or In’N Out. This place would fall in the middle. The meat is higher quality and made to order. You won’t find a better burger for $ 7. This is around the corner from me and I will definitely go back.

Easy to order. Cook burger to-temperature. Different kinds of mustard. Fries cut fresh and think, yet crispy. Both black and green tea available(which it should be for $ 2.49) along with freshly cut lemon. Simple menu with everything cooked over open flame. Great 30-minute lunch!

I ordered the«burger my way» cooked medium with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and mojo with a side of garlic fries. First, the burger was way overdone and had no juicy-ness left, not even a hint of pink, then they left off the lettuce and tomato which was disappointing. The fries were good, thick cut and fresh, with crisp exterior and tender insides, but the garlic is merely rough chopped and thrown over the fries raw so the flavor is really strong and a bit bitter. I was a bit disappointed by this place and think in the future I’ll stick to liberty burger or twisted root for my burger fix.

It was a good burger — the concept is definitely different. I’m not sure I’ve been to a place where you have had to pay separately for a bun and your fix’ens before– I think I understand what they are trying to do — give people the choice to have bread or not. It was definitely an interesting ordering experience. The staff was friendly, and food came out hot!

Small but very modern space with great burgers. They’re not your average run of the mill burger which is interesting. The garlic fries were good, but different. Not your average fries smothered in garlic seasoning, they were literally soaked in minced garlic. The burger was awesome and the staff was great. I’ll definitely be back.

Very good basic beef burger. I liked that the meat was grass fed, without hormones or antibiotics. It was cooked to a perfect medium as I specified. One order of fries will easily feed two people. My only complaint is add ons become pricey. 1 dollars for a slice of cheese or grilled jalapeños seems a bit much. Overall a good place for a quick lunch. I’d come back.

Stopped by on a whim Oct 1st. Ordered the Greek with a fried egg added. It was GREAT. The bread was so fresh the lamb was alittle over cooked. I ordered it Med and they served it Well but even that didn’t spoil the burger for me. I also ordered a Punkel. Which was a really tasty seasonal beer. All for $ 21.63 which was a little pricey considering I didn’t have any fries(though I did cop some of my Man’s French Fries; and they were good too). And they have some of the best hot sauces that I’ve ever seen at a Burger Joint. I highly recommend this place.

Let’s just say we flipped for this place… literally… This place is a few doors from Fadi’s(Mediterranean) & we couldn’t decide if we wanted Middle Eastern or Western… so we flipped…& yes we were coin-less so it was the«Coin Flip» app toss… tails up! So, the Burger Joint, BRG, is apparently a Washington DC chain & this is their first branch in TX that opened on July 14th. They have a very cool & charming manager, Dee, who told us a bit about the chain and gave us two coupons for our next visit. Now to the meat of the patty… one word can sum it up: the BOMB… super super super delish… I ordered the Wellington & my wify created her own legend. The Wellington was a sumptuous beef patty with decadent sautéed truffles & blue cheese crumble along with all regulars… it was just the perfect first bite & I utterly enjoyed it till the last juicy nibble. My wife who normally calls it quit after eating half her burgers didn’t utter a sound until her serving was no more… alas how I had awaited her share of mine! For my side, I opted for asparagus fries(health shaming) while my wife stayed w/the trad… I tried both & fries were definitely worth the 5000 calories :)

Very tasty gourmet burger. Great looking and tasting buns but they don’t hold up for the entire burger which makes the eating frustrating and messy. Fries are decent, sort of like steak fries and well presented in a neat takeout Chinese looking container. Great tasting lightly sweetened green tea. Got my order to go and it was on time, accurate and well packed in a nifty looking paper bag! I will return!

This place was suggested to me by an ex-coworker. I had the Triple-D, and it was almost too spicy. This burger comes topped with a grilled jalapeño that will blow your socks off! Come hungry, as the burgers are huge, but the serving of fries are even bigger.

The burger joint. You had me at hello. As a regular resident of the cigar shop next door, it was only right to migrate 10 steps away to satisfy my hunger. I’m sorta boring as I always order the same thing. I always order«the box» for 9.99. A burger, side, and drink. I order a burger(well done, pepper jack cheese, pickles) on a toasted bun along with seasoned fries and a coke. Sounds simple but for 12.94, it’s an awesome alternative to fast food. Not a five star restaurant, but a cool atmosphere for any situation. Cool for a lunch, dinner date, time with the fam or nice venue to watch the Cowboys and enjoy a burger and beer. I’ll be back for two reasons. 1. I don’t have to travel far from my cigar spot, 2. I don’t have to wonder if my food will be flavorful and delicious. The customer service is excellent and you can find the owner there most days providing quality service as well. A must try for a foody

We ordered a Wellington, medium rare and a The Burger, medium well. The bread kinda seemed day-old. Neither were cooked to the specifications accurately. Avocado not worth $ 2. Wellington was too rich — concept seemed good but just didn’t really work… Sweet potato fries were good, nice and crispy, but side of my ranch was a pre packaged cup — not very good. Overall, a little over priced for the outcome… Employees were very nice though. And they use good ingredients — prime, dry-aged, no hormones beef, no pesticides tomatoes, etc.

Checked out this new restaurant last night for dinner and had the ahi tuna burger which was amazing! The combination of the pineapple, ginger and teriyaki sauce with the rare seared tuna was truly incredible. My husband got a regular burger that he said was ok — not incredible — but he had a bite of mine and agreed it was fabulous. We split an order of sweet potato fries that were ok. Other reviews complained about the warmth in the restaurant, which is true — they need to figure out how to get the ac working better with an open grill. But it wasn’t awful and I suspect they will figure that problem out. They’ve only been open for 2 weeks after all! My recommendation — get the tuna burger!

The burger was very good; yet they forgot to include the extra mushroom topping which I ordered — disappointing! Most impressed and will definitely return for their delicious strawberry shake! Taking out my order next time for it is darn hot at their seating area!

Food was excellent. Wellington burger is unique and great tasting. The sweet potato fries are addictive. Yum! Burger buns fall apart easily, so be prepared to eat with a fork. Messy, but good. The dining area was hot and smoky. Not terrible, but not as comfortable as it could be. People are super nice and friendly.
