Pretty good burgers and atmosphere. Came when no one was there. Glad I didn’t have to wait. Food came in 5 minutes. Owners were friendly. Would come back!

Awesome place. Fast, friendly service. My wife and I stopped in to try since we always shop at the Tom Thumb next door. We finally found time to stop in an give it a try. On the expensive side, but excellent service and very fast cook! We will be back!

Am, was, a every week customer for years, great handcut fries, sometimes would get food at Super Chix, or Dickeys and still stop here and get the fries, last couple times they had standard frozen fries, no Bueno! Bring back the fries or can’t return!

This is by far my FAVORITE burger spot in DFW!!! The service is always excellent and so is the food!!! Even better than JC’s, in my opinion!!!

Very tasty burgers. It tastes like they are making their own patties rather than getting frozen ones. We got a bacon cheese burger that my wife said she would marry. I had the hickory cheeseburger and it was very well put together. The chilli cheese fries were not as good as the burgers but they weren’t bad. If you play the who has the best fries game, i dont think they would win, but all in all a very satisfying experience. The lady at the counter was awesomely friendly. The tables were clean, everything looked tidy.

I had the bacon cheeseburger and it was great. Just the right amount of meat. I didn’t care much for the fries. Atmosphere was warm and friendly.

I tried this place because it was close and I had an hour for lunch. The first thing you’ll notice is the friendly, genuinely cheery little Asian lady greeting you at the front counter. She made my day! They have all kinds of burgers and other food for kids meals. They also had ice cream for dessert, bottled and fountain drinks. They have tater tors but their seasoned fries are awesome! I got the kimchee burger with bacon and I can recommend it with absolute confidence. If you like kimchee, TRYTHEKIMCHEEBURGER. Bottom line, giant, delicious burgers for a good price. Can’t go wrong there! Just my kind of place :)

Looks like a bit of a hole-in-the-wall but the food is great, the employees are all super nice, and the prices are pretty good. I would definitely recommend.

I saw the reviews on the kimchee burger here and because I’m a kimchee fan I decided to swing by and try it because it wasn’t a far drive from work. I really think this would have been a lot better if the burger itself wasn’t DROWNING in grease. I mean, it was really disgusting. I couldn’t even finish it because it turned my stomach. I will say that the fries are delicious and it is a small place in a strip mall so my expectations weren’t super high, but the burger itself was not appetizing.

I had the BBQ Chicken sandwich and, although I indicated no onions on my online order and they put onions on it, it was good. They have tater tots — my fav!

The fries taste JUST like Tommy’s Burger fries(California/Nevada based burger joint). The burgers are decent– reminds me of a backyard BBQ burger at a friends house. If any Californians are craving a Tommy’s Burger fix, get the chili cheese fries at Burger Island. So good!

Great burger joint! I’m a big kimchee fan, so of course I had to get the kimchee burger. Ordered it with sweet potato fries. The burger itself was hearty and sooooo good. I got jalapeños on it, so it added an extra kick to the spicy kimchee. And the sweet potato fries? On point! I was happy to find a good burger joint around the corner from the house. My only suggestion? Dine in. I had taken mine to go, and it got a bit soggy by the time I got back home.

By far the best burger I have had in my 22 years. First when you walk in you are greater by the sweetest happiest lady ever. I always order the double«if I’m not looking to eat until the next day» cheeseburger with pickles and ketchup and seasoned fries. Let me tell you I was blown away! It was juicy, made to order, crisp pickles, just absolutely delicious. The fries make me want to slap the cook! ok maybe not but they are really good. Truth be told they are on the expensive side but for the taste and speed of the kitchen it’s well worth it. I’m now a regular and I’m sure you will be too!

I really didn’t expect anything out of this restaurant. But it was nice! Right when I walked in, I saw a sign that had Philippians 4:13 on a plaque thing. They’re Christian:) Behind the counter was this super nice happy lady who greeted us with a smile. Service was awesome. My friend asked for ranch and she said it was 25 cents. Next thing I knew, she was walking towards us with a little ranch cup. So we decided to tip her. Food: I got the Hickory Cheeseburger served on a paper plate for $ 5.50 and it was really good. You could tell that they didn’t have pre-packaged patties because the patty wasn’t in a perfect circle. So it was made then and there! The cheeseburger also came with sautéed onions with a barbecue sauce. Good value considering that other burger places get expensive. I would definitely recommend people to get this for the first-time visitors. Overall, this place was good. You cannot go wrong with your order:)

Girlfriend suggested we go here after having a mediocre experience at a higher rated burger joint. She spoke the truth! I ordered whatever it was that has sweet Chili, provolone, grilled onions peppers, and mushrooms with mayo… Wow! Flavor was wonderful and the burger was juicy… like a burger is supposed to be when cooked properly. Sweet Potato fries… crispy outside with soft inside, great job! Wasn’t too thin so that it all was crispy and wasn’t too thick so it is mushy, very good fries. I can’t wait to go back to this jewel and try different burgers!

I am always on the lookout to find a good veggie burger. I have been a vegetarian for several years, so anytime I find a new burger place, I immediately try the veggie burger. So… this review is based ONLY on the veggie burger. I must say, this is the worst veggie burger I’ve ever had. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the fries were pretty decent and the employees were really nice. So, let’s start with the issues of the burger. It tasted like sausage(yes I used to eat meat but have not for several years). The burger was chewy and just tasted very odd. It almost seemed this patty was frozen and not homemade. I have had several frozen veggie burgers that were much much better. I will not be going back to this place. I’m sure their beef burgers are good, but their veggie burgers are just gross. :(

It is one of my life goals to find a restaurant that has amazing, authentic, delicious and savory veggie cheeseburgers. This, however, is not the place. First of all. The burger was a Morning Star brand, which I normally like… when I’m in my own kitchen. But not when I go out to eat. The majority if this place’s burgers are supposedly handmade to order which sounds awesome… But not the veggie one. I would suggest having a handmade veggie burger option instead. Second. This is one of my BIGGEST vegetarian pet peeves. The veggie patty was taken from the freezer to the grill that they use to cook their carnivorous burgers on. Not cool. Some vegetarians, like myself, are actually vegetarian for health reasons, and will become physically ill if any food is ingested that has touched/been cooked on surfaces that meat has been. I would suggest thoroughly cleaning the grill before cooking any veggie burgers. Third. The one little slice of cheese on this veggie cheeseburger wasn’t even melted. I suggest leaving that on the clean grill a tad longer so it’s actually a cheesy burger. Fourth. Iceberg lettuce shreds and one tomato. I guess that’s about as burger as you can get. I suggest maybe having other options on top that aren’t as boring. Overall, I felt sick after finishing my burger. Probably because I didn’t get my burger cooked on a clean grill… Tough thing to ask for, I know. I get that it is a little hole in the wall burger shack, but I would expect a handmade veggie burger if «Original» is what they are going for. I’m sure my review would be great if I wasn’t vegetarian, but don’t put a veggie burger as an option if it’s not even remotely comparable to the regular burgers.

Got the kimchi burger and it was DELICIOUS! Went into a serious food coma afterwards. Boyfriend ordered a bacon jalapeño cheese burger and it was good as well.

I ordered The Big Island burger combo. The burger was fresh, hand-made patty fried on flat grill. The burger is huge. I wish it was cooked on a gas grill over open-flame though. All the ingredients tasted fresh and very good. I like spicy heat, and this burger rocked with the jalapenos. The combo added seasoned fries and large drink for 2.75 more. The fries were ok, too much pepper and salt but not real greasy and were freshly cooked and hot. Overall a great burger and good price. I will be back.

I’ve been on a burger craze in Addison. I’ve tried Snuffers, Smashburger, and others. When I saw this place, I had to give a shot. I was worried when I walked in, no one else there. I ordered the kimchee burger off the«special» board. Fried egg, mushrooms, and kimchee. F’n awesome. Bun was steamed, I think. Messy and good! Plenty of hamburger choices, I’ll be back to try most of them. The kimchee is home-made and awesome!
