I’ve seen this place several times on my way back home from getting Taj Mahal or Bangkok Thai down the street and I finally got to check this place out. It’s about a couple of months new, so I know with any business, they’re gonna go through some stuff as they try to get the hang of this as their business picks up. Lamont’s review seems a little harsh, but I think he should probably talk to a manager about his last visit or at least give them another try. In my case, I’m all about supporting the non-Starbucks establishments. This visit, I went in the evening near closing time, so it was pretty slow and I was the only customer there. When I first walked in I heard some heavy metal playing in the background and I thought this is some kick ass shit. Unfortunately, it’s not played throughout the day. Not a deal breaker. The lone worker there was friendly and in good spirits as I was talking to him about the place. I first ordered a large iced coffee which was pretty good. The thing about me and iced coffee is that I’ll drink more than I should and the next time I go I hope they have some cheap refills, if not free. To eat, I ordered a Turkey and Bacon Combo Panini which was still warm by the time I got home. It came with smoked turkey breast, BACON, Swiss cheese, tomatoes, and their roasted red bell pepper mayo. I actually like thick crispy bacon, but their bacon was thin like the bacon at Jack-in-the-Box, but it’s still bacon. I can’t complain. Their mayo has a slight kick, but not enough to make you sweat or anything. I think the mayo kinda makes the sandwich stand out a bit, in a good way. Turkey and Bacon Combo Panini = Yums for me. As for their baked goods, I asked if they were fresh and made at the site, but unfortunately it’s made elsewhere at another bakery(I forgot the name of the place). However, they’re brought in fresh daily. I got a couple of the chocolate chunk chip cookies and a cream cheese Danish. The cookies were good, but the Danish dough was a bit hard. I guess that’s why the dude was gonna warm it up for me. I think the Danish dough should be a little bit more on the flakey side, but it did taste all right. Cappa Café, I’ll be back.

So I was on the way to work one morning last week, and was super early, so I decided to go check out what was around PHD… and I unfortunately stumbled upon this place. Apparently it was suppose to be a Starbucks,(I wish it was), but I swung by to check it out, since I’m always up for checking out new places. I ordered a couple different breakfast burritos, and I got my food. ridiculously fast, like as in 30 secs of ordering it. I was pretty impressed at first. but then I started thinking. why the Hell did it come so fast? Then I started reminiscing about my 1st job in a retail starbucks, and shivered at the potential nasty nastys. Anyways. So I start biting into one of these, and the burrito wraps are kind of seeming like soft, white flour wraps that they bought from a local grocery store. which is fine I guess, and then my teeth go past the wrap and into the internal of the burrito. and… its not even warm, its not even lukewarm. Its not stone cold, but its not even luke warm, and this is stuff that has like eggs/cheese. and my other burrito was the same, but it had egg/cheese/sausage, so that was even worst. WHOKNOWS how long this crap had been pre-made and just sitting out there LOL. Not the worst burrito experience i’ve ever had, but it sure was not pleasant. So unless your down with slightly coldish, breakfast burritos that have a ‘eat at your own risk’ vibe to em… yeah I won’t be going back
