I come here for a lot of business lunches. Occasionally I’ll come with the family for brunch on the weekends. Due to its popularity it can get extremely busy.

Let me preface this review by saying I wanted to like this place. It has a sleek interior and a cool coffee bar. Unfortunately, that was about it. Came in for brunch at noon on Saturday. Ordered the house eggs benedict with orange juice and a pancake. The orange juice was underwhelming. $ 4 for a glass of pulp. The eggs benedict came without hollandaise sauce. I pointed it out to the waiter, who brought out a separate side so I could garnish it myself. Hollandaise was bland and lacked seasoning. Instead of an English muffin, they used a «toasted» piece of bread, which become soggy quickly. The poached eggs were also overcooked, as the yolks had solidified and were not runny. The home fries were alright, but nothing special. The pancake I ordered should have actually been called a crêpe. It was thin, and lacked flavor. Even the syrup and powdered sugar didn’t really help the cause. Honestly, I’d prefer IHOP pancakes. Overall, for $ 20 plus tip, I expect much better. Service was par throughout the meal, although we did have to wait 30 – 45 minutes for our food. If you’re in a pinch, I suppose this will do, but there are better brunch places in DFW.

This is one of my favorite local hangouts! The burgers are great! The breakfast food is wonderful! Yummy challah french toast. Mother and I come here for the cappacinos and beignets, there the bomb! My favorite thing though used to be the chicken strips. They used to have a wonderful crust now they’re like chicken fried steak crust and it’s heart breaking We all loved them so much. The service is spotty. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes it’s not. Our waitress tonight was good, but the one next time may not be. Overall though it’s still one of our favorite stops.

Went here last weekend and was willing to wait 30 – 45 minutes for Lemon Ricotta pancakes and a Mocha Mexicana. Let me start with the coffee drinks and service. My Mocha tasted good but was room temperature just about(I am okay with with that) and the only thing that made it «Mexicana» was the addition of cinnamon. I love cinnamon in my coffee drinks, but otherwise it did not seem like anything special. I have been to other places that add cayenne or other spices that make it more unique than a standard mocha. My friend ordered plain coffee which they brought out after I already finished my specialty coffee. The waiters are all polite and very nice, but I think they seem a little disoriented when things are busy which is every weekend I think(for brunch at least). The lemon ricotta pancakes were quite tasty(wish they added something like blueberries to cut the lemon flavor just a little), but I have also had better ricotta pancakes that were not as flat at these. I am still happy with the flavor overall and portion worked for me, but I have had better. I really want to give the place a 3.5(when are those half stars coming along?) because it is a little better than«A-OK». I think there is space for improvement that could make this place a 4-star easily with effort.

A great brunch spot! We didn’t want to drive from North Dallas all the way into Dallas to get some great brunch and found this place. The food was incredible. I got The Farmhouse, and everything was on point. Delicious eggs, bacon, and potatoes. My wife got the buttermilk pancakes. Depending on your appetite, because they come in a set of 3, two people could easily share one order and some sides. To top it off, the coffee was great too. We’re coffee snobs, and to find great tasting coffee(in our opinion) and good grub is hard to come by. We both had cappuccinos, and they were perfect. The prices were very reasonable too. The service was OK. I think if our servers were even slightly in a better mode, it would have made this 5 stars, but the food and coffee was so good I didn’t care. Highly recommend. Will be back.

Another great brunch at the Coffee House Café. Got to enjoy with my Mum. Great cheerful server. It would have been 5 except that I received the wrong pancakes. Buttermilk is okay but Lemon Ricotta is fabulous! Missed that.

Walked in almost at closing and the hostess had a fantastic attitude as well as the entire staff. People came in after us too and they were super polite to the late arrivals! Ordered the house latte with soy(they have soy and almond milk yay!) It was pretty great. Fiancé ordered frozen hot chocolate which the waitress didn’t know was on the menu, we couldn’t find it either, but it showed up and WASGOOD. So good. I got the challah french toast and a side of spinach, both were great. Fiancé got the falafel sandwich which he enjoyed. I would go back again, definitely. Also: breakfast is served all day, just wanted to let people know :)

This place is a true gem. Came for breakfast on an extremely busy Sunday morning, and there was a bit of a wait to be seated. We only ended up waiting about 10 minutes, which was great. We had been craving Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, so of course that’s what we ordered. All I can say is WOW — theirs is quite possibly the best in town. We thoroughly enjoyed, and agreed we needed to bring some fellow ‘chicken-fried-steak-lovers’ back with us! I also ordered a caramel machiato drink — and I slurped it until it was gone! So delish. The quality of food is top-notch, and the service is great.

I came to this place purely on curiosity… just looking to see if the reviews were true or false. I decided to sit down at the bar just to avoid the waiting time due to being the lunch hour. I usually judge coffee shops based on the way that they make Americanos. But, to my surprise… I noticed that this coffee shop offered a personal French Press coffee. So, I decided to give the French Press a chance. I’m so glad that I did, the coffee beans that this coffee shop uses are very good quality. The flavor of my coffee was delicious!!! I would definitely recommend the French Press coffee to ALL of the good people that love great tasting coffee. As for the food, I didn’t get a chance to try any of their dishes. So, I can’t add my two cents there. But, their coffee is Top Notch if you’re into drinking a French Press style of coffee. Salud mi Gente!!! :)

Kind of unimpressed. We were here off-hours for a work breakfast/coffee fueled jam session. The place was only about half full and we started with coffee and beignets while we set up our laptops to go over projects. After a little while, the guy was like«so are you just going to work, should I take the menus away?» I felt like the way he said it he was being pushy, we still had coffee and food out. I had the house Benedict. 2 eggs, pancetta, challah with house potatoes. 11.99. When it came out I was not impressed: the portion was quite small, especially for the price. Only 2 slices of pancetta, incredibly thinly sliced(perfect if there had been more of it) The hollandaise was an impossible to taste drizzle – one line over only one piece of the bread. Fortunately another person in my party had wisely got her sauce on the side, and had enough to share. The coffee was excellent, the food was good, not amazing. Both were over-priced. Service annoyed me, he started to push for us to leave as soon as we were done eating. It was still before the lunch rush would get started, and we had coffee refills.

They are always quick at seating us and bringing our food out! The menu items are hit or miss in my opinion. Some things are delicious and some just lack flavor. I love the breakfast Mijas and the grilled Brie sandwich! They lose a point because even though they are a coffee place, their espresso is not very good. It’s too biter and leaves not a great after taste. So I don’t recommend the espresso drinks. Besides that, this is a great place with an awesome atmosphere to have brunch or lunch :)

Visited here with my Dad Easter morning since it was one of the only places open and I’d heard good things. While this place doesn’t have anything on the menu that is truly vegan, they offer many vegetarian items that can be modified. I called ahead to see what the options were, and someone explained to me in detail certain items I could get and what the ingredients of the dishes were, before I even asked. They were more than accomodating, and I’m so glad I came here! I had the heuvos rancheros without egg or cheese, which was flavorful and delicious. And so filling! It was a huge portion of food, and I nearly ate it all! Everything about the dish was great… the fresh potatoes, soft corn tortillas, flavorful 3 bean ragout, and tasty salsa. It was the perfect breakfast paired with a hazelnut soy latte, that would Trump(I mean BERN!!) ;) Starbucks any day. Will be back for sure!

Best brunch I’ve had so far in Texas! The service was incredible, no wait(we got there when it opened) and such a cute atmosphere! We split the lemon ricotta pancakes and a huge omelet with the potatoes cooked extra crispy :) the waitress did all the splitting for us and we didn’t even ask… The coffee was so good, a little dark and they kept it coming! I loved the little exposed fireplace just outside and the brick and wood vintage-industrial look throughout. If nothing else, I’d come back for the service alone. Such a great find, really fair prices and I’m excited its only a ten minute drive :)

The house latte is a definite must try when you visit the coffee house. Came here for brunch and ordered a single order of the lemon ricotta pancake and the chipotle shrimp and grits. Loved, loved the shrimp and grits. great flavor with a little bit of a kick. Lemon ricotta pancake, however, was flat, dry and overall a big disappointment. Also love that they have a drive thru! Big plus when you are on the go!

Been here twice now and the food and service has been good. Cappuccino and coffees are great and the chipotle Migas were yummy as well. There is an outside patio area which allows dogs and is nice in the summer time, but expect a wait.

I really enjoy the Dragon Pearl Jasmine tea and the Chipotle Migas. I would recommend them to everyone Other things worth mentioning: the menu doesn’t have very many vegetarian options(outside of breakfast) And the service is good but sometimes a bit slow

Another spur of the moment. I used to live only a few minutes from here, but didn’t know about this place until a friend told me about how much he adores it. I was a little early to my appointment, stopping at the intersection of Preston Rd and Frankford Rd, remember this place that he mentioned, I decided to look it up, to my surprise, it was right next to where I was stopping. Walking inside, I was immediately greeted by a friendly, middle age hostess(somehow i got the feeling she’s also the owner). I decided to take a seat at their nice bar just to order a cup of coffee. The sweet, tatted up bartender/barista(no sarcasm here, most of the time tatted up people are even nicer and sweeter than the«clean» uptight looking ones) was very quick at taking my order and giving me my choice of poison of the night. This is not your typical coffee shop even tho the name is Coffee House Café. It’s a full service restaurant that offers breakfast, brunch, and even dinner, as well as alcoholic drinks, and of course coffee. The place is pretty spacious with a big bar area, booth seating, as well as an outdoor area with fireplace to keep warm during the cold weather. The latte that I ordered was a little light and mild for my taste, but good nonetheless. I will definitely have to come back to try their food option and other types of coffee in the near future.

Please forgive me, but I always forget about this superb little brunch spot. I’ve been here on a couple occasions and eagerly ate every single last bite. The menu is perfect. Just the right amount of options. The establishment is adorable and not annoyingly decorated as some breakfast spots like to do. We get it, you’re a breakfast joint, you don’t have to throw up tacky breakfast décor all over the walls! I never really venture to Frankford and Preston to eat all too often so perhaps that is my only reasoning for my neglect. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Usually for 2 people, an entrée each with a mimosa or 2 is about $ 45+ but it’s worth it. Best part– CAGEFREEEGGS. Chill atmosphere and adult friendly. Then again, I always feel the best bet is sitting at the bar. Tried, delicious and generous servings: Eggs benedict Breakfast Burrito Chipotle Migas

Eh. Not impressed. Visiting my sister from California I recommended a place found on Unilocal before I headed to the Dallas airport to catch my flight home. I was impressed by the pictures. When I entered I was also impressed with the upscale modern chic ambiance even though everything from the bathroom to the table booths seemed narrow. Just an observation. Lol Anyways I ordered the eggs benedict. This is my normal default«go-to» meal wherever I go for breakfast. Our waitress didn’t ask what we wanted as sides, she brought us both potatoes on the side. She was a horrible waitress. I never tip below 10%. I did this morning. I digress. Back to the eggs benny… they looked good but they regrettably weren’t. I ordered the«house» eggs benedict thinking it would be the«normal» one of the 3 e.b. options available on their menu… NOPE. no English muffin. No ham. I do gotta say though… perfect poached egg. It’s not easy and this one was PERFECT. Can anyone spare some h. sauce tho? Mine was dry af. Hard ass bacon on some bread… it was gross. We both left half our dishes there then asked for Fruit since the potatoes weren’t an option but a definite. The pineapple in the fruit was completely white… bit into it BLERCH. so gross! This place… never again.
