It took 10 minutes for a waitress to ask for my drink order & she wouldn’t take my food order at the same time, saying«I’ll be right back.» 20 minutes later, she brought my beer and asked if I wanted to order food. I had to decline because 30 minutes to get a single bottle of beer makes me think there is no way I’d get my food & be able to eat in the remaining 40 minutes before I had to catch my flight. Very disappointing.

DONOTGOHERE. If I could give zero stars I would. When you get seated you should be greater by a server soon, if you can’t get to me right away fine tell me you’ll be a few minutes and have someone get me a water. Ridiculous that I was ignored that I stood up left and told the hostess. Not even an apology from them. for the price you expect service. You are not getting my money for food or drinks which I had 3 hours to spend drinking and dining.

Service was good; therefore the one star. Food was awful and overpriced. I got the III Forks salad. The greens were old and limp; it was overdressed, and it had regular pecans. Not candied. My husband got the Asada Tacos. While tasty, they came out like warm and swimming in grease. You had to blot with a napkin to pick them up. Overpriced, too, but expected in an airport. Disappointed!

So you’ve got a layover in the Dallas airport and all the other restaurants are full. It probably says something that this place was next to empty. Bonus, though, that it’s all open, so you can do lots of people watching. The beers on tap are meh. And the bartender was certainly less than friendly. But whatever, it’s an airport bar/restaurant. It’s a place to cool your heels while passing the time between flights.

I’ve been to this location several times and continue to be disappointed. Service is HORRIBLE. The last time I was here I walked out because it took 20 minutes to get a water. They are also very over priced. you’re better off trying another restaurant in the airport.

Our flight was delayed, leaving plenty of time for a meal at Cool River. That said, the meal was promptly served after placing our order, with great service from a friendly waitress. Considering most food options at Love Field are fast food, this is a nice alternative. We each had a salad(him a Caesar, me tossed greens with apple with blue cheese & pecans. We shared crab cakes which seemed fresh & were tasty. I was surprised at how good it was, since often airport restaurants disappoint or are supremely unhealthy. It’s worth a visit.

Cool River Café in Dallas Love has a great décor. Service is incredibly slow for an airport bar. I ordered smoke pork sandwich with fries and a Sam Adams. Beer and fries were good but sandwich was too salty and I could not eat it. Wow. Terrible. I would however come back and sit at the bar for a beer. The bartender seemed efficient from where I sat.

I’m never at Dallas Love long enough for a sit down, but I hit the jackpot and had a 2.5 hour layover yesterday. The space is lovely and I was seated at a booth that faced outside. The waitress was super friendly and fast to serve. I saw vegetable ravioli with marinara and pesto($ 19) and was intrigued. I’m also a fan of crabcakes($ 15), so I gave this place a shot. The ravioli was pretty nasty as it was cold, the pasta tasted artificially starchy and the vegetables were cut in super small pieces and drowned in a cheesy goo. Pass. With the crabcakes, for that price I thought it would be for one crabcake, but actually got 3 crabcakes. The crab wasn’t the big lump kind you get in Maryland. Instead it is the smaller pieces, typically of the frozen kind you find in the Vietnamese supermarkets. The cake was a little soggy in the middle, but 3 crabcakes for $ 15 is a pretty good value. Not a fan of the sauces that the crabcakes came with, so I was glad I asked for those on the side. Overall, very average and not sure if I would come back.

Nice place to kill time while you’re waiting for your delayed flight to board. 3.5 stars Food: 3.5, Service: 3, Atmosphere: 4 Cost to worth it rating: 2(ariport prices so french dip was $ 17) Return worthiness: maybe Highlights: — Wine selection by the glass: fills 2 column on a long cocktail menu page and has 6oz, 9oz, and bottle options. — French dip: not bad. Decently tender slices of meat on a soft and warm ciabatta roll. — Tvs: 4 on each side with games can’t find in other areas of the terminal — Atmosphere: large and open in the main area unlike other spots that seem small and enclosed Lowlights: — Service: slow and not so friendly waitress Better than I expected for a random airport spot and worked fine for us.

Went in for breakfast and had my order taken within 5 minutes. After 25 minutes when my food hadn’t come out, with the food of several parties that arrived after me, I asked about it. The server went to check on my eggs and came back 15 minutes later without them. She said it would be a few more minutes. I didn’t wait around. The food might have been great but the service got in its way.

Great place to people watch, nice open seating, but horrible service! Overpriced for what you get, but what do expect at the airport.

First off, it’s the airport so your options are obviously limited. But just in case someone actually Unilocal a bar/restaurant in the airport, I strongly suggest not stopping here. The host was extremely rude! It’s 7:15 in the morning, I doubt you’ve had time to have a bad day yet, cheer up! The bartender was waaaay more interested in setting up her bar then talking to us. We waited 10 minutes(yes 10 minutes, I looked at the clock. We’re waiting for a flight so I’m very time aware). When she finally came over, we got two drinks. I got a mimosa, which was good. Fresh orange juice and a little Korbel mini bottle. I also asked for water, which I never got. We never got menus. All the food others were eating looked good but she never came back to ask us if we wanted food. We sat until 7:49, empty drink glasses and still she never came back! We finally had to wave her down(which I HATE doing because I wanted tables and I know how it feels) but we have a flight to catch. Boarding starts at 8am but considering we have to pay our tab and walk to our gate, that’s pushing it. We never got a second drink, never got menus, and had to run to our gate! Not good at all. Thankfully I brought Bailey’s minis for the plane ride!

Flights are delayed and the kitchen is closed at 8:30 pm, really.?? Used to feel the unnecessarily high prices came with reasonable quality, not some much anymore. Love Field can do better … Pappadeauxs anyone!

Big open air two sided bar with 4 TVs on each side. Large windows letting natural light in. plug ins below the bar(both 3 prong and usb) YAAAAY! All bars, not just airports need to get on board with this. Bartender service was prompt and friendly(even with nearly all seats full). I had the cheeseburger and fries and although ordered medium it was well done. That being said this is a typical experience for me with airport food. Food quality was standard airport quality. Good enough to fill you up but not leaving you craving more ;). Good experience. So so food.

Arrived to the airport early to beat the rush hour traffic so had a ton of time to kill before boarding… I was also hungry so Cool River called to me. I noticed that there was no hostess so I just helped myself to a bar seat. I think I was sitting for 10 minutes before the bartender even said hello. during this time some other patrons were leaving in a hast. I suspect due to the no service. The bartender finally greeted me, and while I had her attention I asked for a water and the 3 egg omelet. I didn’t want the potatoes or the toast so I subbed for fruit… as she walked away she mumbled that there would be a charge for the fruit. I thought it was a little weird since I didn’t want two of the three items that my meal came with, but whatever. My order arrived timely, but man this bartender along with the other waiters could not get their act together. I think in the time I was there, 5 tables got up and left without service. Terrible! The omelet was good, but nothing too exciting. The fruit cost me $ 4 extra! I was actually incredibly surprised since I didn’t even get the other two items. I asked for my bill before I was done, just for fear of it taking the bartender 100 years. All worked out fine. If you don’t have a lot of time, I’d suggest you go eat somewhere else but if you are in the mood for incredibly slow service then this is the place for you!

Really weak pour, their double is what most people pour a single as. Had a beefsteak and mozzarella salad, it was ok, a bit steep of a price for two slices of tomato and three slices of cheese. It’s a typical airport over priced place.

Overpriced. Service was subpar but the food did come fairly quickly. A salad for over $ 14 that’s only made with iceberg lettuce? Can I get a little romaine over here??? $ 13 for a drink? This isn’t Manhattan, guys. Let’s come correct on the cocktails. Drink was good but overpriced. Salad was good but seriously with the lettuce. Such a small thing to tweak that would make a BIG difference. It wasn’t horrific. They didn’t try to force me out of my seat before I was ready. They weren’t rude. I didn’t have to wait extremely long for my salad but I could have gone somewhere else with the plethora of options that dot Love Field and buy something cheaper and of better quality. Meh.

The cheeseburger was big enough, but the patty was a little over-formed and a bit dry, although it was cooked to a perfect medium. It was similar to what one would find at a mid-level neighborhood steakhouse. Trimmings are fresh; bun is ok. Fries are actually quite good. Ketchup provided is a good amount in a ramekin. Cool River gained serious appreciation points as they doubled the portion of fries when Jayne and I split the burger. The alcohol is normal airport price gouging. That $ 4 shot they offer with the purchase of a beer was one ounce, not two ounces, not a jigger — it was one ounce. The rare tuna app passed by our table a few times, and from what I could tell, it was strangely small, just three of four small slices. My suggestion: have your burger across the hall at Whataburger and do your pre-flight lubrication here — if you’re going to over-pay for alcohol, it may as well be here.

Nice sit-down restaurant inside Dallas Love airport. The service is prompt and the food is good. I ordered their roasted vegetable ravioli and it was the perfect amount of food tho nothing to particularly rave about taste wise. Their dessert is much better than the main dish. I had their bread pudding with whiskey sauce and my taste buds danced. The dish comes out with a scoop of cinnamon iced cream on top of the warm pudding. I will likely stop back in next time I come through Dallas Love airport.

This was a layover so we stopped here to have a drink and kill some time. We did not eat here only had drinks. We sat at the bar where there were several flat screens to view. My vodka was a little weak so my second was a double which was a lot better but at an extra cost of $ 4. The ambiance was fine ad we soon lost track of time and after checking my watch found out we only had 15 minutes to catch our flight. Thankfully we we’re close to our gate and Asa we ran up they were announcing our names to board lol. If back in this airport I would probably return.
