From 2006 – 2010 or so I got pedicures here a lot. I just went this weekend and was pretty disappointed. It’s clean, and the polish selection is good, but the staff just really acted like they couldn’t care less about the services. I got a classic pedicure($ 35), which includes paraffin wax, and from start to finish lasted only 26 minutes. I don’t expect a 45 minute pedicure, but I think that 30 – 35 minutes is closer to standard at this price point. I got no foot or leg massage and the paraffin wax wasn’t on very long at all. Buffing was sub-par, but the polish application was fair. I probably won’t visit tis salon any more.

Awful service. They rushed us out. When they took the gel polish I already had on off my nails the girl ruined my nails. She filed layers off my nails to the point where my nails are paper thin now. Then on top of that My gel mani chipped and pealed off the next day. Horrible place. I will not go back there. Oh and they charged 50 dollars when a gel mani is 35 – 40 every where else.

I have been here a few times. The service and quality here are inconsistent. Elizabeth does great work and is always positive but the last time I was there, I was told that she no longer worked there. I went ahead and got someone else to do my nails and they did a poor job and ignored me the entire time. If you’re an SMU student, you get a 15% off discount, but you will make up or that with all of the extra and unnecessary products that they will sell you :)

In town for an event and needed a gel manicure. The woman who did my nails was incredibly detailed and did a great job. I also had a nail that needed to be fixed and the man there did a great job with that too… They were all really friendly and sweet. I’m not a regular but my first impression was very positive

I’ve tried a lot of different nail salons and have never been happy with the end result. I tried Deluxe Nail Salon last week and I’m very pleased. Walked in, asked for a mani/pedi and was given an appointment on the spot. I got the new gel polish and it’s lasted longer than the regular polish I used before. Amazing customer service and friendly atmosphere. I walked in today for my second appointment and was greeted by a smiling face and they even remembered my name! I felt very special and got world class service. My nails and toes are super excited about their new home!

Wow, this place sucks! Went with some girlfriends who were in town b/c this is where they wanted to go for whatever reason. First, had to wait forever(like 30 – 45 min) and then had terrible service. Worst of all, the gel manicure I got peeled off 5 days later! Gel manis are supposed to last 2 – 3 weeks! What a huge waste of money and time.

Normally, I give places the benefit of the doubt… I will try them at least twice… maybe the first time was just an «off» day? I probably wouldn’t have gone to this particular salon, but it was a gift. I was ready to relax and enjoy my pedi and solar nails. The pedi was OK, the flowers and oranges in the water were a nice touch. The part that was a bit annoying was the fact that the technician asked me general questions such as, «Would you like the pink color?» and«Do you want a clear coat?», which I answered«yes» to, not knowing it was an additional $ 5-$ 18 dollar upgrade. No one told me about the upgrades until I heard another technician telling their client about the service, after it was done to me. Yes, I could have spoken up, but, this was a gift and I was trying not to seem ungrateful, yet I was extremely embarrassed about how high my bill was going to be. Not to mention, the technician nicked two of my nails while they were drying, looked at me, looked at my nails, and continued to apply the clear coat. Again, I could have spoken up, but I didn’t. The technician that did my solar nails, was in a hurry, constantly looking around the salon, slapping the gel on my nails. They looked«OK» when I left. My appointment was on a Friday and by Sunday the gel was lifting and chipping along the nail bed. I went back to the salon on Monday to get them repaired. The people that seemed to be running the salon were super sweet and accommodating. I truly thought after speaking with them that it was all going to be okay and I would most definitely try them again… Then they asked me to point out who did my nails. I did, they spoke to her, seated me in her chair, she huffed and puffed and continued to bitch the whole time I was sitting in her chair. I felt like such an idiot! Again, she rushed, slapped a clear coat on and I was done. Again, when I got home, washed my hands, and all the chips, cracks, and lifts showed up again. Sigh. All this to say, I’m not going back to complain again… I will just go get them repaired somewhere else.

Pedicure! My Mom, sister, and I went in together and it took almost 30 mins for them to even start on my moms pedi. My sister and I were on our polish by the time they even starred her. Over all we decided to splurge(before going back to school). So we got the parafin wax add on. OMG That was amazing, I think I will have that every time thank you. This spa does a very nice job on nails and the actual pedicure experience, but the staff is far from professional. The staff will set you up in your comfy chair and clean foot bath(yes this place is always clean!) but then they will leave you alone for a long while. They will also in the middle of a pedicure randomly get up and leave for a about 10 – 15 mins while you just sit there. While they do a good job for the price it takes almost an hour for just a pedicure and forget about trying to have a mani/pedi. They seem to treat the stereotypically highland park dressed people like gods and forget about those of us who aren’t wearing designer everything. I will go back but I’m still looking for that perfect place.

I like this place. First off, I get an SMU discount, which is always a plus. I’ve been here a few times for pedicures and waxing and have been happy with everything. The ladies who have worked on me have been so nice and thorough. Sure they offer the upgrades, but it’s never been a real bother. They hand me a menu and ask which option I’d like for a pedicure, I point it out, and off they go! No pressure. And the fact that drinks(wine and champagne) are included? Bonus! It may not be the best nail salon in town, but it’s conveniently located and the prices are reasonable, and it’s a nice, relaxing experience.

I only tried this nail salon because I got a coupon in the mail for 20% off all services. From now on, I won’t stray away from my normal place :) Pros: 1. Nice décor 2. Flat screen tvs 3. Essie and OPI polish Cons: 1. Every nail therapist tried to upgrade me to a 30 minute massage, body waxings, paraffin treatments– it was exhausting having to say NO all the time! It really took away from my «relaxing» experience. 2. We were supposed to receive complimentary wine and soft drinks, according to the brochure, but none was offered and I didn’t want to have to talk to anyone for fear that they would upgrade me to champagne and charge me for it! 3. The pedicure was really painful and rough. 4. The polish wasn’t evenly applied on my toes or fingers. 5. The staff wasn’t very friendly. A few of the nail therapists looked like they should be in high school and not working at a nail salon! Overall, I won’t go back to this salon due mainly to my dissatisfaction with my polish and the pushiness of the nail therapists for me to get unwanted services!
