God awful and a rip off! When we asked for a sandwich and a meal they said it was $ 5.99 and $ 8.50 respectively. We changed both our orders to meals and then got charged 24 bucks! Two meals should have been $ 17 according to what the guy at the counter told us. Instead we were forced to pay 10.99 each plus tax! This is a trick they play often and obviously the reason they refuse to put a menu on the wall up for customers. They even declined to provide one on paper when asked before the meal. The table we sat on leaned sideways with every movement. The barbecued beef slices were dry, tough and leathery. Not to mention the hot sauce that was savagely tongue searing and cold, disgusting potato salad you could taste the salmonella on. To add insult to injury, there was no air conditioning. We were practically drenched in our own sweat before the terrible food arrived. Please do yourself a favor and don’t get ripped off at this uncomfortable scam den. You’re better off making spam sandwiches at home. It should really be called«Evil’s House of Barbecue»!

Great soul food sides and flavorful BBQ. They serve plain old fashioned southern fare, and hit the nail on the head with it. The BBQ sauce is thick and with just a hint of sweetness. I’m not sure if it’s store bought or homemade, but it’s good regardless. I had the chopped brisket sandwich with a side of collard greens and pinto beans, topped off with a slice of corn bread and some lemonade. The brisket was moist, the collard greens were fresh and flavorful, the pinto beans were just firm enough and not overly firm. And in true cornbread style it was airy and moist, and didn’t stick to the roof of your mouth or leave that cotton mouth feeling. It’s a great try.
