Very clean tables and good selection of basic Korean menus. My favorite is Kalbi and Naengmyun combo. They could do better with their side menu(banchan). Kimchi was too old and sour. Other than that, I think this place is good whenever you crave for Korean food.

We’ve been coming here for 5 years for a reason! Excellent customer service, grandma’s homecoming quality food, and clean restaurant. The broth you drink always hits the spot, and I recommend spicy fish stew if you have a hangover.

I haven’t been here in a while(I’m talking years) but I’m in love with the new format, tax is already included in the price and all the prices are round numbers(yay!) tipping isn’t necessary since everything is self service. I loved the mul naengmyun and fried mandoo. I will definitely be coming back here again soon!

I’m so sad right now, they must of changed ownership recently. This was one of our favorite places. Ordered galbi tang, it was lukewarm, very little meat that was old, broth had no flavor. Our naen nyuem(cold noodle soup) has changed, it used to be delicious. Noodles where not the same, tasted store bought. So very sad!

This restaurant is very big and clean and to top it off the food is amazing. While in Dallas for vacation, we went to this restaurant 3 times. Its called gangnam galbi so we definitely had to try the galbi. OMG their galbi is soooo good. Probably the best I’ve had. Living in NJ/NY I have had my fair share of korean restaurants and galbi and was very suprised how good their galbi is. And what goes best with galbi? Neng myun(cold buck wheat noodle?) Their neng myun is also very good. Their broth for the mool neng myung was seasoned perfectly and their portions are big! Other foods I tried that were very good also were their meat and kimchi dumpling, pa jun(scallion pancake), jam ppong(spicy seafood noodle soup) and their kal gook soo(seafood noodle soup). They also have private rooms to BBQ with saloon style doors which are very cute. This place is a definite to go place for korean food.(esp their galbi)

I lived in the Koreatown neighborhood of LA for several years and this place makes me feel like I’m right back there. This is not AYCE but the servings are very generous and one order should be enough for most individuals. The meat is juicy, tender and of overall good quality. For the choicest cuts, make sure to visit starting Wednesday because like most restaurants, they stock their meats for the week on Tuesday. The atmosphere is casual and pleasant and the servers are Korean which is pretty cool because there are very few Koreans in Dallas. Oh and the post-meal ginger tea is heavenly!

First impression of this place was bad. Can not blame me for thinking about it like that. I came in around 6 or 630pm and there were just 4 korean dudes sitting at 1 table. The kalbi on the menu for $ 20 or $ 21 which was more pricey than I expected. But as soon as I took the first bite of the Kalbi, I was shocked by how good it was. I have had Kalbi in several places in several different states and, so far, the Kalbi here was the best. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked. I will definitely going to come back here for the Kalbi. EDIT: kimchi soft tofu stew is also very good. This place has changed menu with lower prices. NOTIPANDNOTAX. This is like getting 28% off.

Great small korean restaurant. Food was really good and we had pretty good service. The beef and veggie mandoo dumplings were amazing. I really enjoyed them and I’m still thinking about them. I’ll be back to try the other Mandoo dumplings.

Dropped in for lunch yesterday after a morning chilling out at King Spa. It’s basically a block or two down the road. Judging by the other reviews, this restaurant is know for cold noodles but it was a rainy cold day so that’ll have to wait until the summer. Inside is pretty standard, dark wood tables, clean Korean restaurant looking setup. Nothing fancy. The waitresses are older Korean ladies who are very polite and attentive. You get the standard banchan dishes, which were all well prepared. I had mandoo, which are Korean dumplings. They are very authentic, quite filling and tasty yet light enough you didn’t feel bloated after the meal. My wife had a seafood noodles dishes which she also liked quite a bit, and she is Korean so high marks. The noodles tasted like they were hand made and had a good texture to them. All in all, this was a pretty good meal. I’m sure we’ll be back.

This restaurant is inside a little mall that is located in ktown. It’s not very noticeable, but the inside is well kept and clean. The menu is pretty authentic, but I would put it on the pricier side just because it’s not all you can eat. I did the 2 person Korean bbq meal with my friend. It was a lot of food for two people, especially since the side dishes are refillable. They service was great and they cook the meal for you and got you anything you needed. My only complaint was that the meat, except for the Kalbi, was just very bland, it had no substance to it.

It’s like the one stop shop restaurant in Dallas for Galbi, Nangmyeon(cold noodles) and All Korean Food. The name is so confusing because it reads something like this — Gangnam Galbi Youchon Nangmyeon Somoonanjip. It’s like 3 restaurants put together into one. I live in NJ so there’s actually 2 of the 3 restaurants have actual locations in NJ. The food is not great but it’s actually good enough for TX where the Korean American population is limited. I will recommend their Mandoo«dumplings» because it is freaking awesome. Other than that, it is the usual dishes like Korean BBQ, all kinds of soups and America’s favorite bibimbop. If you are adventurous then I’ll recommend their blood cabbage soup«Haejangkook» which is supposed to help with hangover.

At first glance it doesn’t look like much but as soon as you walk inside it is clean in both look and smell, I like the seating no booths sadly but the arrangement is nice with good views of the tvs which always have funny Korean pop groups or on the other tv a Korean drama. The food is delicious this is the place I go if I want to experiment and try new things cause I am confident it will be done right and taste delicious. Their sides are all really yummy except tofu but that’s a personal thing I suppose. Gotta give it 5 stars cause it’s my go to place. It would be perfect if they had milk teas just saying :)))

Gangnam Galbi signage on the storefront, while Youchun name on the side of the building, the website, and the paper receipts. A fellow Unilocaler discovered this locally owned gem and asked him to join his party on his 3rd visit in the same week. It’s not fancy or necessarily newbie-friendly, but the laid back casual atmosphere is suggestive of Korean home cooking. We didn’t experience any of the customer service lapses that other Unilocal mentioned, but then again, this was a 3-in-a-row visit. We received a satisfying budget-friendly meal for my visit; in which we tried a little bit of almost everything from the menu(except seafood). Our orders forced us to relocate due to the amount of food we requested, but the staff was very accommodating about this. The galbi of course was exceptionally tasty and recommended. Bulgogi was also satisfying, though perhaps not as memorable as cooking it on the stovetop grills that graced a handful of tables. My friends ordered steamed kimchi dumplings and fried meat dumplings, both of which were also memorable. For the cooler fall season, three out of our party of four ordered soups and stews – all of which were executed well and very filling. The spicy beef stew was a sweat-inducing, angry red pot of heat; the chicken with noodle and potato soup was a hearty bowl of comfort(and probably good for 2 people), and the dumpling soup was pleasantly populated with a good number of beef dumplings swimming in a light beef broth. Banchan sides were reasonably good. The kimchi drew attention from even the non-kimchi fans from our party for being fresh tasting and spicy without possessing that over-pickled, spoilt aftertaste. While Gangnam may not attract the younger, hip crowds looking for fusion eats, it’s a good standby for family-friendly Korean comforts. Worth a visit for all the good noodle dishes, soups and hotpots.

This is one my my favorite spots if i’m craving typical korean meal — everything is always tasty and price is good. Note it’s not super fancy or anything but it’ll hit the spot if you are missing your mama’s cooking :) If you’re going for cold noodles — i suggest the bibim naeng myun and ask for the cold broth on the side. so good.

The food is pretty good but the service is the same unfriendly ladies except one waitress. She was around early 50s with glasses and petit. She was very friendly and respectful. She even handed the change with both hands and bowed. Other that her the others are not nice nor efficient. They have one tv on Korean music videos and another on cable TV. The galbi was pretty good and not too fatty. The nangmyun was good too. I would sort of recommend this place.

You Chun is oft –forgotten but nonetheless steady and consistent. Atmosphere has that Korean go-to K-Pop-TV-dominated theme, with a mixed bag of service that on our most recent visit got lost behind the glass screen partition at a critical point in our meal when we wanted a banchan refill. Menu is easy to understand for non-koreans I think. On to the food: cold noodles: good. Knife-cut noodles in anchovy broth were good also, with pieces of potato, zucchini and carrot in a nicely fishy broth. Noodles had just right amount of chew. Pan fried meat dumplings were bland on their own, but when you doused them in the soy dipping sauce they were quite satisfying and very plump. My favorite thing on latest visit was the contrast between my anchovy broth, and some very fresh and tasty kimchi which sparkled and caused me to have to fire off a flare gun into the ceiling to finally get a waitress’s attention for a refill. So for a solid korean noodle meal, You Chun is quite serviceable. You may have to put up with some funny Korean TV while you eat, but at least it will be chock full of pretty K Pop singers which is also a good thing.

First really cold day in Dallas of the season, and we were looking for soup. Kang Nam Galbi has got some great, filling lunch specials at really good prices. I had the Kimchi Jiggae, which was just the way I like it, nice and spicy, chock full of of cabbage, rice cakes, tofu and other delights. The bf reported that the meat in the Shortrib Dolsot-bap had excellent flavor and was super tender. Portions were large, and we both ended up taking some home. The banchan selection was pretty standard, but all dishes were very tasty. Everything, in fact, seemed fresh and well-prepared. Our favorite banchan dish was the one with clear noodles… I never know the names of any of those, sorry. Also included were some spicy tofu, kimchi, seaweed salad, shaved potato, a broccoli dish and one or two others. The mandu we also ordered were particulary good, nice and big and plump, stuffed with meat filling that was clearly homemade. We found service to be friendly and attentive.

I have been going to this place for the last 10 years. When it first opened, the restaurant’s name was Yu-Chun-Chilc-Nengmyun. I just came by here to eat some delicious cold noodles, but the name changed! My heart dropped, literally. Now, under new management, it is called, Gang-Nam Nengmyun. However, they still have the cold noodles along with other different menus! Yum. Yum. Yum. This place never fails me. The waitress are older Korean ladies who barely speak English. If you order cold noodles, a drink of hot beef broth comes along! Their Kimchimandoo and regular is to die for. The fillings fill up and leaves you satisfied even after 2 pieces! Order their cold noodles, it IS their specialty. Their Galbi-Stone Pot was great! The shory rib was marinated perfectly. Everyone was friendly and nice. If you speak Korean and always say«Thank you» when they bring something. Yay for you! The cold noodle place is a chain restaurant! There is one also in LA. I am there all the time.

good food, horrible service. right in the middle of my order(i don’t speak korean), the waitress stops me, hands my korean friend her notepad and pen and tells her to write down our order. In Korean. then she walks away. How. Incredibly. Rude. At the end of the meal, my friend paid at the counter, leaving a cash tip on our table. However, I guess the lady at the counter saw that she didn’t leave a tip on the check and asked my friend(obviously not knowing she had already tipped) straight-up, «No tip?» Who the heck does that? This most recent experience was totally different from my first visit there. The first time I came to You Chun, they were incredibly attentive and quick to serve us. And totally not rude at all. But it was probably because my korean friend, her aunt, and my pastor(who is also fluent in korean) spoke to them the whole time. The sad thing is that their food is really quite good. The naengmyun(cold buckwheat noodles in icy broth) and kalbi is really tasty and really hits the spot on ridiculously hot texas summer days. I think they make one of the best naengmyun’s i’ve had while in the DFW(and i’ve had a few), and it’s hard to screw up kalbi, so I’m a fan of their food. But why, oh why must they be so rude? If it weren’t for their food, I’d have given the place a 1. But if it weren’t for their awful service, I’d have given the place a 4 or 5. I guess the place is great to eat at if you have friends who speak(and write) in perfect Korean.
