Saw the reviews before coming here so I didn’t have high expectations but it honestly wasn’t as bad as I has expected. However, it was far from a good experience. Once we arrived I was feeling a bit adventurous so I ordered the catfish combo. The girl at the register politely told me it would be a 6 minute wait since the catfish are cooked to order. I didn’t mind the wait and I needed to use the restroom. In addition to the catfish I ordered a chicken tenders combo and wanted a side of green beans and they told me they were out. Eh whatever though. I can live without green beans so I got Mashed potatoes instead. The restroom at this place is extremely dark and it’s hard to see where everything is. However, the reason why this place didn’t earn a 2 star was because they have free ice cream for dine in people. We weren’t dining in, we were waiting but the employees told us to go ahead so we enjoyed free ice cream. Once we got home and tried the food, I was disappointed in the catfish. They were far too oily and they also had no taste. All I could taste was the breading which just tasted like bread crumbs. I would not recommend the catfish filets. The chicken strips however were much better but they are different from other chicken strips as they have less breading on them. The yeast rolls were good but who can mess up yeast rolls? Not bad though.

I really wanted to like this place since it’s much closer to me than Raising Canes, but I didn’t. The chicken flavor is just OK but the okra wasn’t edible. The texture was something I’d expect from 2 day old okra. It definitely wasn’t fresh. The bright spot is the yeast rolls but that’s not enough to get me back. I’ve tried it twice but not again.

They overcharged me for an order of wicked wings. I ordered a 9 piece, chicken and bread only. I was charged more than the the 9 piece meal. I brought it to the attention of the cashier who stated she rang it up properly. I called to speak with the manager 3 times; no call back. I was the biggest Golden Chick fan ever, until this happened. I will never spend another dime there for as long as I live.

Their fried chicken is unbelievable starting with the big chickens they use. Big big chickens with big big thighs — my favorite. They have timing and temps down for those big pieces because it’s perfect and it has always been right out of the fryer when I’ve been there — steaming and way too hot to eat. The pieces are seriously big. Sometimes I get a thigh for $ 1.69 and I’m good to go. I avoid combos for the most part — I’d rather eat another piece of chicken than a ton of fries. They have really good, pillowy rolls though. Chicken and rolls combos are the best value. I have tea — and honey for my chicken — at home. Actually I might get one of those honey bears for my car.

Went here last night for the second and last time. My husband stops on his way home from work. First experience was bad… did not get full order and what we did get was wrong. Called and the manager Corine had a whatever attitude. Second, visit… again husband stopped on his way home. Ordered and paid for the #2(6 tenders and only got 4), ordered the #9 and requested two drumsticks and got two wings. He got there at 4:30 and requested corn on the cob and there had none. Gravy for the tenders was enough for one… and the tenders were under cooked. Again, called and got Corine again and her whatever attitude and said she would talk with everyone. Lot of good that does us. Never again… there is Chicken Express, Church’s, Popeye’s, other Golden Chick locations and Grandy’s. I am sure my money will spend just as good there and I might get more for my money and better service. Not sure this location will make it.

The food is a total disappointment. I spent $ 8 and didn’t want to finish it. Raising canes is significantly better. I will not be back.

I’ve tried this place 3 times. The first time it was fine but the last two times the chicken tasted like it was cooked in stale grease. The flavor was bad. Don’t waste your money here. Go to a location where they care about serving quality food.

Not nearly as good as the Arapaho location. The food came out quickly, but it didn’t taste fresh. Hopefully it’s just that the location is new and they’ve still got to work it all out. Will probably give it one more chance before writing off the location completely.

This was my first time at a Golden Chick. Apparently this place just opened too. Drive thru person was a little hasty and nervous. The green beans were really good ! However the chicken #9 was bloody half way through so I decided to stop eating it. Might go back, just to try the corn poppers though.

This is a new business having just opened and it appears they are still learning the start up of opening a new store. I ordered the fried chicken breast which was $ 2.19, the same as I pay at most other Golden Chicks. I then ordered a senior drink and was told it was $ 1.79 with no discount. OK — great way to start with senior citizens. I canceled the drink and got just the chicken breast. The breast was not the usual large one I get at a Golden Chick but rather small. It was at least a full breast that had not been dissected into multiple parts. My spouse ordered the chicken salad sandwich which is her favorite. The sandwich appeared instantly indicating it was a prepared sandwich which had been put under refrigeration. The bread was a little«smashed» and the amount of chicken salad was must less than our previous order at another location just a few days ago. Her order came french fries and due to the small amount I took the time to count the number of fries. Fifthteen(15) fries both ½ inch long and as along as 4 inches. Pathetic! at the least. There is a drink dispensing machine that you can serve yourself and at least i can get a full cup as many times as I desire. There is also«free» soft serve ice cream and I use that word«free» as nothing is free, as I have no doubt paid for it in my meal purchases. I am certain this place will become better after they get through their grand opening. On a side note — we were given a menu for the restaurant. There ware 10 combos shown on the front of the sheet with prices that range from $ 6.49 to $ 11.89 per combo. Not one of those shows white meat chicken. The chicken ones are all dark meat. Also there is individual pricing for chicken and wings are $ 1.69 each as are thighs. One piece of catfish is $ 2.99 and that by the way appears to be a strip of catfish as I saw on the table next to where we seated. While the food was good, I am reconsidering whether I continue to eat at any fast food places as prices are getting comparable to many lunch meals at a sit down, full service restaurants.
