This hotel is very new so the building the décor everything is really up to date and modern. I especially love the pool and lounge area on the 5th floor. My room was large and on the 14th floor, the view wasn’t terrible either especially at night when I can see all the buildings light up. The location was great for me. I wasn’t too cheerful about the $ 15 each-entry fee for the garage so I had to pay the $ 30 valet instead. The hotel is so new that it doesn’t have an on site restaurant or kitchen yet. This meant no cook to order breakfast which is a deciding factor for me when choosing hotels. So imagine my disappointment when I walked downstairs in the morning to meet a spread of bagels apples/oranges, muffins, a waffle station, powder eggs, sausage and bacon. No freshly cut fruit, no yogurts, no cereal, no wheat bread, pancakes, omelettes, things I’m used to. I paid all this for a basic breakfast. There are no designated dining tables or chairs so you either eat and stand or sit on one of the lounge chairs if there are any available. Also, breakfast starts at 7am on the weekdays. Why so late? Good thing there are lots of restaurants nearby. Other than the food situation, lovely hotel! Lol

I have noticed something and at first I thought I was just being dramatic but I have ran my experiment and confirmed it to be true today. The car valet men who stand by the front door of this hotel, who seem very nice may be a bit prejudice or racist. Sorry but I call it how I see it. I say this because I am not the only one who comes in and out those doors and they always seem to run to open the door for someone of a Different race but when an African American woman likes me heads that way they all seem to act like the don’t see me or they are busy lol. Today I had food in my hand and my dogs and waited at the door to see if they would respond differently and it was the same. Took them a couple of seconds to notice I needed help with the door. I am capable of opening my own door but Please I ask you treat every one the same regardless of race. Everyone is deserving of the same respect you show to others! Sorry I had to call this out because it needs to be addressed.

Great location. Good rooms. The location makes it accessible to almost anywhere in the city. The trolley is just around the corner. Lots of great local eateries as well. The breakfast could use some work but it’s free.

Stayed here on a business trip and knew it was relatively new going in. Sure, the hotel/rooms were nice looking but the fact that my shower didn’t have hot water is a deal killer. The water was still cold even after waiting over 30 mins for it to heat up. I expressed my concern to the front desk and they did nothing about it, I expected at least some sort of discount or something. Wouldn’t recommend.

Very friendly staff! Nice environment. Rooms are new and comfortable. They should use the Elm Street address as the other on Pacific is hard to find.

Friendly staff Newer hotel thin walls Not clearly marked hotel from outside on both sides of the building. Be sure to write in 1525 elm st or 1600 pacific ave. Nicely accomadated 1pm check out. Not a lot of restaurants open for breakfast on weekend bc it serves business crowd. No restaurant inside, so no nice glassware for drinks. Plastic cups only. Smaller towels. Church bells go off every hour with ear shot. Hot water was on and off as the other reviewer wrote.

This recently opened hotel is off to a great start. The location is fantastic if you need access to the Convention Center and Downtown areas. The furnishings are brandy spanking new, and the staff is bright and cheery. Good stuff. They are so new that some of the fittings aren’t quite ready yet. The Guest Laundry is just a room, with no machines or equipment. The hotel bar and restaurant was just open today for hotel execs as a trial run, and won’t be open to the public for a few weeks. The 5th floor pool and fitness center will be closed for maintenance this Friday, until next week I believe. And we are having some trouble with hot water in our room, on and off. That said, still a nice place to stay; I just wish they had a room for me to keep for the rest of the week.
