I was really excited for this new little restaurant. I thought maybe the building was jinxed because it has been so many different restaurants. turns out maybe it is. we were greeted at the door waitstaff was friendly. there was only one table eating and other tables were dirty and still had dishes on them. we ordered coffee and water. only got coffee. it was 1030 am and only breakfast was being served but we were not told that. ordered the Jed’s Benedict and the chicken and waffles. it took 30 minutes for the food to come out and only saw the waitress one time after ordering. the waffle was burned, hard and butter would not melt. «homemade» syrup was was literally not sweet and tasted more like grease. the Poblano gravy was coagulated and cold. the Benedict eggs were rubbery. the tomato wasn’t anywhere near red and the avocado was brown. the worst part it was on a soggy English muffin. I don’t know how a kitchen could send out food that looked that bad. we had to get up pay for our coffee and leave. I am not picky about food but this experience was the all time epic fail.

Very good food! I had the Meatball Burger and it really fulfills your craving for a burger and italian food. The homemade marinara that came with it was delicious. I also had the Homemade Tater Tots as an appetizer and they were fantastic! You have to give this place a try. I’m already planning my next visit.

Went here specifically because of the location. It was close by and it had a good Unilocal review. The young man who waited on us was excellent. He was pleasant and very much on top of things. The atmosphere was diner-esque. It was clean, well lit and had enough TV’s that you could technically consider it a sports bar. The food was okay. Most everyone had the spare rib burger. I honestly couldn’t tell the difference between it and any other old regular burger. The lettuce and tomato were on the side and everyone looked at their tomato and wouldn’t put it on their burger. It was pastel pink, not red and not even close to fresh. Little things matter! The French fries were waaaay over seasoned. The tater tot and briscuit nachos were okay but nothing to write home about. Only reason we went here is because we were very close to it. I’m sorry but I would not make a trip to go back. But it has potential! Flat face

My staff and I eat here almost everyday. We are always warmly greeted by the staff when we come in and never have to wait very long for food. The place has great atmosphere and definitely has a Bishop Arts feel. They have pretty good vegetarian options, and everything is tasty and fresh. One of our staff members likes the Silly Chicken Sandwich. Another loves all the various grilled cheese sandwich options. Personally, I prefer either the Meatball Burger or the Mushroom Burger. For an appetizer, you’ve GOT to try the home-made tater tots with the beer-cheese sauce.

This was an excellent meal. Fresh cooked, reasonably priced, and a pleasant fresh look to it. Looking forward to dining here again. Casual and non pretentious. A worthy candidate to restart the Oak Cliff Wednesday night super club…

This is a great place to eat! We had mimosas and desserts to celebrate my birthday. We definitely want to go back for lunch The entire waitstaff is very friendly! Alex was a great server! The owners even came out to greet all of the guests and made sure to tell us thank you as we were leaving! We will definitely be back!

Upon entering Jed’s, we were immediately greeted with a big smile and friendly good afternoon. We were seated right away and given our menus. We were informed about drink specials, .99 cent mimosa’s was exactly what I wanted. We ordered the cilantro burger, big juicy and delicious. My husband got the chicken parm grilled cheese, which was good but needed more sauce so our server brought us a side. We did enjoy all aspects of Jed’s. And do recommend it and will go back.

What a great concept for a family restaurant. Classic American food with a twist is a perfect way to describe it. A huge appeal is their weekend brunch drinks for 99 cents! I had the huevos ranchero and it was my absolute favorite with some chorizo on top. The owners were personable and came over to check on our experience. I will surely head back for their happy hour which last til 9 Monday through Friday. What a great new place in Oak Cliff

The Chipotle Hummus was perfectly spicy, best with veggies. Really comfortable atmosphere, welcoming staff and lots of sports on the 3TV’s. Local and family owned business deserves support.

We happened upon this new little gem after we overslept brunch, which ends at 2pm. Fun little surprise though: $ 0.99 mimosas ALLDAY on Saturdays and Sundays!!! Tomato bisque was out of this world… light, fresh and flavorful. Cilantro burger was delicious and filling. Pizza grilled cheese was pretty darn good too. We will most definitely be back. Family owned=run with love. Check ‘em out!

The service at this place is just awful. We have a brunch group of 6 people. After we ordered our food we waited for about half an hour. Then three of our entrees came out. Then an hour later our appetizers came out. Then 30 minutes after that we finally got the last three entrees. And something was wrong with their kitchen cause my chicken parmesian grilled cheese was salty and dry and my boyfriend’s eggs benedict was so overcooked the eggs were basically rubber balls. I get that the place is kinda new but seriously, if your waiters are bringing out half the tables food and expecting the other half of the table to wait an hour and a half for their food you’ve got way worse problems than just«new restaurant hiccups.»

This is a great new local place. Fantaaric food, great location and the service was wonderful. I had lunch here with my boyfriend and I highly recommend the Stella’s Meatballs as an appetizer– they are delicious, slighty spicy very good with the toast given. I tried the Pizza Grilled Cheese… hallelujah! So good. I tired both sweet potato fries and regular and I think I prefer the regular. My boyfriend’s cilantro burger was very good– sort of char cooked and loaded with toppings. Ask about whatever tea or special drinks they are serving! Their tea was so great I could drink it all the time. Must try!

Service was exceptional! Staff very friendly & attentive but not on top of you. Food was fresh and hot when served. Can’t go wrong on the $ 1 Mimosas on Sundays with your choice of fresh squeezed orange juice or cranberry juice. Owner stopped by when we were finished eating to make sure we were happy with our meal. He was very happy to hear our feedback. He was even happy to hear my husband’s feedback that his portobello burger cap was a little too salty. He told my husband those were the kind of things they wanted to know. Definitely an all around menu that Oak Cliff needs. Can’t wait to come back for breakfast. I hear the pancakes are AWESOME!

Great family-owned business with AMAZING burgers! Anyone living in N. Oak Cliff knows that the corner at Jefferson and Tyler has had many restaurants come and go since the end of Casa Francisco. With any luck, Jed’s will end this streak of changing restaurants and stick around for a while. There are many reasons to stop in. The service was friendly and prompt. The décor was simple and clean. Most of all, the food was amazing! The food is made with fresh ingredients, with the minor exception of the fries(which were delicious, so it is a win for everyone). Try the Short Rib Burgerlicious, the many grilled cheese sandwiches, or the favorite Cilantro Burger. If you get a chance, scan the menu online. The food, so far, has lived up to expectations, so any choice you make will be rewarded with full, satisfied stomachs.

We were politely greeted when we walked in. Once we sat down it took about 7 min before a server asked us what we wanted to drink! The menu had a good amount of choices for food which was nice. We ordered coffee which was tasty. Once we ordered our food, we waited patiently as we kept getting more coffee. When our food came out, the presentation wasn’t what we expected. My us as ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs were like boiled eggs, not poached. I ordered the monte cristo sandwich but it didn’t come with the preserves that it said on the menu:-(. Service could have been better but at least the food was good!

What a pleasure to find a restaurant close to home that suits me in every way. Unpretentious but tasteful décor, friendly and conscientious staff, moderate prices and a respectable menu make me want to return often. The two entrees I’ve tried were fine, and I look forward to enjoying their breakfast dishes.

Love this place and the people who are running it. I know this is a tough location to have a restaurant. I hope these people can keep this place going! Food is all fresh, home made. They will take great care if you have food allergies or issues. Open for Breakfast!

Just had my first experience at Jed’s and I have to say the food was amazing. From my first bite I knew there was something special about how my meal was prepared. During my meal Jonathan(I believe one of the owners) came by and asked how everything was. I mentioned to him that something about the way his chef prepared our meal was unique and had such a great taste to it. He did go on and mention that they run a «from scratch» kitchen on everything they do including their signature bloody Mary’s.(Granted I didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy one but I will definitely be back to try) Over all I will definitely be back and recommend Jed’s to all my friends. Give them a try as I did. I’m sure you’ll love the food and people there.
