Korean style Chinese food – kind of like Tex Mex? Haha. Anyway, this place is small and kind of ugly with tons of red laterns all over the place. The menu is small. mostly just noodles and a couple of chicken dishes. All of us got the jja jang myun, Korean interpretation of Chinese jia jiang mian, noodles in black bean sauce. The taste was ok, but just missing something. it didn’t have enough flavor. My half Asian friend who doesn’t eat noodles«but I like rice!» ordered the fried rice. Bleh. My friend Ben tried the chicken with vegetables and peppers. Another Bleh. All of the food was missing something, the flavor was just not all the way there. I will not be going back.

To find this place, it’s right next to the Post Office and their sign is in Korean, but right under the foreign lettering it says«Chinese Restaurant». Yesterday, Fran, Diana, and a few others of us came here for lunch and we all left kind of disappointed. They advertised this place in the Korean Newspapers to be new and had really good Ja Jang Myun(noodles in the black bean sauce). Boy, we were disappointed. I don’t know how the cook goes off to make these noodles and call it Ja Jang Myun. The black bean sauce didn’t have the right texture. It was all watery and runny. I’m thinking they just rushed it, not taking the time to make the sauce properly. The sauce needed some more meat, some more diced veggies, and the water they added shouldn’t have been plain water, but the starched water that came from boiling the noodles to help thicken up the sauce. The noodles itself were all right. A new place like this with such a small menu you’d think they’d have some kick ass noodles, but they don’t. *sigh* Oh, if you’re coming in groups bigger than 6 be prepared to sit at different tables.
