Great atmosphere, staff and location. I so enjoyed sitting on the patio in the sun today listening to the water fountain play its lovely rhythmic calm. When the Latin music starts it makes you wanna get up and dance. Unfortunately I’m not a fan of the food or drinks. They bring you plenty of food but the taste is either bland like the breakfast tacos or dry like the fajita chicken on the nachos or the tacos.

Good margaritas but that is about it. The brisket tacos come with two small slices of brisket — biggest rip off I’ve ever seen. Service was less than desirable.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. Atmosphere is intimate, subtle lighting with great music. Friendly and attentive staff. Chips and salsa were excellent… food was a solid 3 stars, but overpriced for the quality. Expected in Dallas.

Great place! Great service! Great food! What else can you ask for. It’s very quaint inside with a cozy type atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place. I know I’ll be back

Went for a late dinner on a Tuesday… Just FYI the close at 8 mon m-w. But service was still good and food was great! Margaritas are the best as well! Juan was my server and was absolutely amazing! Will be coming back for brunch, happy Hour, and dinners! Great experience, even with me coming in 45 mins till close.

Jorges TexMex in the Arts District is worth the effort! Great Margaritas — Patio — Enchiladas — and try the Brunch on Sat-Sun. Say hi to Nacho — my favorite bartender in Dallas — hands down — tell him Dan said hi!

We are visiting from Phoenix, AZ and we found this restaurant by chance. The service, food and drinks are PHENOMENAL! We were warmly Greeted, the bartender was very friendly and the food is extremely Delicious. We’ve have Mexican food, but this place is unique and they take pride in their food & service. Beautiful area. Mgr. Ignacio Cabillos & Server Beinardo Joaquin gave this restaurant the Extra service we were looking for.

Went on a busy night. Service was worse than terrible. Managers just stood around rather than helping.

Jorge’s is our go to place. I like to seat outside, when weather permits, as this is a nice, quite and large patio. The service has always been friendly, the margaritas and swirls are good and I like the food. We will keep going and enjoying this nice tex mex

My friend was staying at One Arts Plaza and we wanted to grab a drink after work, so Jorge’s was an easy option. They have weeknight happy hour from 4 – 6, so that made it even better. Even in the late afternoon, the patio was comfortable to sit on with plenty of umbrellas and fans(only down side was the numerous smokers). They have a fun selection of house margaritas, so we decided to try them all. Bonus — their flavored margaritas come frozen or on the rocks. We tried the blood orange, coconut, pomegranate, blackberry, swirl, kiwi, passion fruit, and original. I think the table favorite was the blackberry, not too sweet. The blood orange was a close second. We also had some guacamole and queso. The guacamole was fresh and the queso was good(not great). The food looked good, so I’ll have to come back to give it a try.

Don’t waist your time, the margaritas are not good no alcohol whatsoever. The food is just ok, no seasoning to the fajitas. If you pay $ 13.00 for top shelf I hate to see what a house margarita taste like. Bummer! …

A great location for a pre dinner show. The wait staff was nice and attentive. I was not impressed with the posole at all. It had no depth of flavor and was not worth the price in my opinion. The drinks are made well and my mother in law loved her enchiladas. If I come back I would definitely try something else. I added a brisket taco and thought it was just okay as well. I feel there are better tex mex restaurants, but the location is convenient if you are here for a show.

We walked over here after the opera and just wanted dessert. We filled up on the free chips and got a cup of queso to supplement the salsa. Then ordered the Tres Leches and Flan desserts. The flan was above average but the Tres Leches was not sweet and seemed stale, especially the frosting which seemed processed. Definitely not the best dessert I’ve had. I might be back just to give them another shot since I haven’t actually tried the food. The place got pretty packed after we arrived around 9:30pm. I liked the music they were playing and the décor there.

We chose Jorge’s for a couple of reasons: It is near the Winspear Opera House, and for the vegetarian options. Great atmosphere, enjoyable food. Caring, attentive service. We had a reservation and arrived early, so we waited a few minutes. Not as long as I expected, and we were seated before our reservation time. The restaurant was bustling with a trendy, slightly up-scale feel. The prices were very reasonable. I identified 3 potential entrees, and asked the server for advice. He suggested the mole, and I was not disappointed.

It’s probably the only spot around the plaza that has been there a hot minute. So they’re doing something right. So far I’m digging their brunch, patio… when I was there they were getting down with some live music. Perfect chill Sunday funday spot. Classy upgraded Tex Mex. I’m feeling it! I need to get back there when the sun is shining for a mimosa and some chips n salsa.

We tried this place on a whim. We wanted brunch someplace new and this fit the bill. It’s located in the Arts District, One Arts Plaza. The restaurant has a nice, muted décor and a huge patio. They serve Mexican type food, with some American options as well. Service was good, a bit lacking when we were ready to check out… but that was the only service shortfall. We had the brunch menu, which includes $ 1 mimosas and $ 6 bloody Mary’s! There was a great amount of Food for the price and it all tasted great. Price point was about $ 10 to $ 13 a plate, for brunch, and again, great serving sizes for that price. We will definitely return for dinner. Be warned… this place is very near the theaters so I’m sure it can fill up quickly before shows.

One Arts is just a dead area that keeps trying to be revived… lets hope this super cute place that is detailed beyond belief survives. No was here except our table. At lunch time. On a Saturday. It is crazy! The food is just okay. The service is just okay. The patio is wonderful for a cocktail and downtime. Parking is… on the streets… or for residents… or valet.

If Jorge’s were the only Tex-Mex to be sampled by a visitor to Dallas, they’d walk away thinking, «Meh.» Our server was terrific but the food barely acheived«pedestrian.» Does anyone who lives in Dallas or Texas eat there unless they’re on a lunch break at One Arts Plaza or in need of a pre-show bite and want something more than a microwaved burrito from the 7 – 11? Meso Maya is not that far away. Allow yourself the time.

Went here another night after a concert. One of few places that are open late downtown. Service was decent. And now food. I ordered the tamales with meat sauce. — I ordered the sauce on the side and left off the rice, but had more beans. * tamales: dry. Dry little flavor * meat sauce: room temperature(he forgot to bring it w my entrée), little flavor *refried beans: modest to say the least, tasted better than the rest of the entrée. –would I go back. **no. There are so many Tex-Mex places in Dallas. The only plus was that they were so close. But I wouldn’t have came if my friends didn’t want to(half of them didn’t even eat). I guess I’m just always hungry.

A wonderful place for dinner during a night out on the town. The wait staff was provided excellent service. More than one waiter sometimes took care of you even if they weren’t assigned. Valet parked and walked to outdoor concert in front of Symphony Hall. Needed a little repellent for small insects but it didn’t get in the way of enjoying the scenery.
