I absolutely love Le Madeline’s. Every time I’m in Dallas, I make it a point to drop by. I am in love with their pastries! If you’re a big Napoleon and fruit tart fan, these two are a must try at Le Madeline. I’ve noticed that a lot of bakeries(in New York) that make napoleons/fruit tarts no longer use custard for the filling and use whipped cream or a French cream. I absolutely hate anything other than a pure custard for my napoleons and fruit tarts — whipped cream just takes away the decadence and richness that those pastries should have! The strawberry Napoleon at Le Madeline has a nice sugary topping with almonds on top that isn’t overbearingly sweet like most Napoleon toppings are. I’ve also tried the croissants and some of the other small pastries, which are all pretty good as well. The service is always delightful which is a rare find in New York so coming here is always pleasant.

Great job for mess-ups La Madeline! So apparently my order accidentally got forgotten, however, a very alert busboy noticed I had been waiting for about 15 minutes without my food, so he asked what I ordered and went to the kitchen to find it! Shortly after I was finally served, a lovely waitress came by and apologized profusely and offered me whatever I wanted from the pastry shelf. I chose the chocolate parfait and she brought me not one but TWO to go! Great customer service for mistakes! Bravo la Madeline!

The food is good… consistent. The service, on the other hand, not so much. The man at the cashier taking orders didn’t seem to want me there and was of no help regarding the menu. I may not be coming back to this location solely based on that.

I really like their Tomato Basil Soup and their Turkey Provolone Sandwich and it was perfect today.. Today I had also ordered the gingerbread crème brulee and it was awesome. The staff was friendly and received my order fairly quickly especially for being lunch time.

Ordered breakfast. Maybe three other customers were in the restaurant. Ten minutes later I received 2 small eggs, 2 sliced tomatoes, each about the size of a half dollar, and four pieces of cold bacon. Mentioned the disappointment in the bacon and received a brush off by the waitress. Then approached the manager as I left, told him of the cold bacon and he simply said, «Huh, that’s strange.» I can see from other reviews that this place is going down hill fast. Well, seems to me that they’ve already reached the bottom. I reside about a two minute walk from their front door and I’ll never venture into the ‘joint’ again. Now I understand why the place was basically empty. Too bad…

If I had never gone to a La Madeline I would probably give this one four stars. But I grew up going to La Mad with my family almost weekly and now every time I step foot in one it seems like a lower quality than the time before. Sure, the food is fine, nothing great, but they just slowly changed everything to clearly be about the bottom line. Water glasses used to be goblets*, now they’re plastic cups. The butter used to be served in little mini ramekins, now they’re plastic too. Bread is never fresh like it used to be; you used to be able to get it hot out of the oven, now it’s always room temp. No more scooting your tray down the line, getting to pick out your food based off of how great it looked; now you order and get a number, just like any other fast-casual restaurant. I mean, I get it, but it’s definitely not the quaint little café feel I grew up with. It feels like a part of my childhood is gone! *I mean, this part I get: when we were little my sister and I would run our fingers around the rim of the water glasses to make them«sing» and we definitely broke our fair share of them.

The service is good, people are friendly but unfortunately the food has no taste and I the cappuccino was nothing more than a coffee with foam. I was expecting more but it turned out to be just an ordinary tasteless airport food. I should have tried the other places!

My friends and I have come here a couple times late at night, and I think they deserve 4 stars. Their food is good(even late at night.) I love their pastries thou; the almond chocolate chip croissant is just awesome. Their chicken salad and mushroom soup are definitely great things to order. The service is nice and fast. I love the fact that they don’t have that rushing attitude when you come 30 minutes before they close. Absolutely highly recommend this place

This restaurant is one of the worst La Madeline’s there is. The manager is clueless on how to staff his store. The employees do not care about the service they provide, nor do they care about the speed at which the food is delivered. I say avoid this location at all costs… I will not be back.

Location is very hard to find a parking spot. Lunch time is def busier than dinner. Food service was a little slow at lunch. Salads and food are good, but it amazes me how many calories are in half a sand which there. Staff is friendly and patient though. Salads are good.

Ate here with some friends for breakfast. The lady taking my order didn’t ask how I wanted my eggs and I ended up with scramble eggs. The food it self wasn’t bad. The only complaint I have is that two of my friends order lunch item food and they had stated they would take longer. Well one order came out right away the other took 20 mins after the first one came out and it was burnt. They were nice enough to remake the order and it came out a lot better and faster.

The food was ok. The spinach pocket was a little dry but the mushroom soup was amazing! The fireplace is pretty awesome on a cold day like today.

I ate here over the Christmas holidays with my family for lunch. The place was busy but the food was delicious and the service was good. The food was all very fresh and everyone was happy with their selections.

This place is horrible. I always loved these restaurants & cannot understand why they decided to ruin them. The ambience is totally destroyed. It is bright open & incredibly tacky & ugly. The relaxing cozy feel is gone. It now looks & feels like Burger King, even up to the garish overhead lit menu. Never going back.

I enjoy La Madeleine very much. Good quality food at an OK price. My favorites are the Eggs Benedict, French Toast for breakfast and the Salads. The pastries are awesome.

This seems like a place that a grandmother would enjoy — there’s hot soup and free bread. The staples of La Madeline are the freshly made Caesar salad(add chicken), tomato basil soup(excellent) and the strawberries romanoff. The sandwiches are just average and most everything is overpriced.

I like this La Madeleine. They do a really good job of feeling like a local French café, which I know is their goal, but they are able to do it with a sense of authenticity that most place can’t seem to pull off. I also like their French roast coffee, especially the dark one. It is very flavorful and good.

LaMad is never the first thought on my mind when going to lunch during the work week, but when we do go, it’s always quality, quick and at a good price. Croque Monsieur

I LOVE their chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, the salads and soups. Great breakfasts too. Most of their desserts look good, but taste artificial to me. I like the oatmeal cookies and that’s about all. They’ve gone down hill. PLEASE help them somebody! Delicious buttery crescent rolls, but they need bakery help!!!

I work right next to this La Madeleine, and overall, I am left rather unimpressed. Nearly every time I go in, the line takes 15 minutes just to get through and pay when I am ordering just some soup and a salad. I get only half an hour for lunch, so a few times, I have gone in, seen the line, and immediately left to go somewhere else. Today, I thought I would order online to expedite my order, which was a simple bowl of baked potato soup. I arrived exactly when the website told me my food would be ready. I stood near the register waiting to be acknowledged or helped, and about five minutes later, a woman came out and I told her I was picking up my online order. I watched as she checked incoming orders, and then I noticed that she went over to the soup tureens and poured my soup. Apparently, no one had prepared my order so that it would be ready when I got there. I don’t know why I keep telling myself that service will improve here. It’s slow, ineffective, and I think today just proved that I need to steer clear of this place during my lunchtime.
