We stumbled here thanks to Unilocal.Ummmm the reviews reflect. Very welcoming. Everything we had was super good. EVENTHECOFFEE! We had their regional beer«casa beer». Pretty good. But back to the coffee! Has spices. Was good. Calamari appetizer was really good. It’s not battered like everywhere else you go. It’s on a delicious salad. A must try. I had the«Ras el hanout lamb chops tagine» super good. It was in a sauce with potatoes on the side. Potatoe with goat cheese. Yup super good. She had the Andalusia shrimp skewers. Pretty good but nothing too different. Shrimp with seasoning on a bed of rice. Their rice is different. Super good too! Then we ended with the coffee! Yup the coffee is super good. Staff is super nice and polite. Will be back

Such a great place, so glad we decided to try it! Food portions are great for sharing and so delicious apricot chicken was my favorite. The owner was so kind and helped us with menu since it was our first time here! Overall great experience .;)

I really liked this quaint, cozy restaurant along Victory Lane. This is a great spot to enjoy some inventive food before going into the fast food mecca of the American Airlines center. Even if you’re not there for a game, this place is worth seeing. Their wine was good(albeit the red was a tad warm) and the food did not disappoint. We tried the sampler, the cigars, a Flatbread and the sea bass, all of which we would order again. I loved this meal and I surely will make it back.

One of a best Moroccan restaurants I ever tried. I was only visiting Dallas for 2 nights, and I went there twice for dinner. Need I say more?

Top notch! Food was fabulous and the atmosphere so quaint. I was amazed at how perfectly they appealed to all my senses with beautiful but not gaudy décor, comfortable table settings, wonderful smells, awesome music and the tastes!!! Oh my! Service was flawless! Couldn’t have been more happy to found this place to take out of town guests. Cannot wait for warmer weather to enjoy the patio. Recommend ordering different meals and sharing. You won’t want to miss the lamb chops or sea bass.

How have I never been here? After being open for years now, Medina has proved their point as being one of the few restaurants that can remain alive in the ever changing Victory Park area. Finally I made my way there this week and was so incredibly thrilled at the friendly service, delicious food and intimate setting. My friend and I share the dip starter platter which is a little steep in price at $ 16 for 4 small dips, each was so delicious and the warm pita it was served with made us forget all about that. We also tried the spinach and preserved lemon phyllo which was delicious and enough to share between the two of us. For our entrée we had the seafood couscous which, again, was steep in price but had fabulous flavor and the seafood(shrimp and scallops) were cooked to absolute perfection. The restaurant itself was quite a bit smaller than I expected but it made it feel like the perfect date night or girls night spot. The owner was walking around making sure all of the patrons were having the best possible time that they could while dining there. Medina is just one of those places that seems like catching up with an old friend and picking up right where you left off, even if you are complete strangers. I can’t wait to go back!

Victory Park is in need of many more restaurants. Thankfully, Medina is a consistent choice in the area. Looking for Moroccan inspired food? Look no further. They’re not ideal for large groups, but perfect for 4 or fewer. There are lots of good appetizers for everyone to share. They don’t always take reservations(depending on time), but try calling if you’re worried. Their pizzas are are delicious too. They regularly have salmon salad as their daily special. Try it! Very flavorful.

This is definitely my new go-to in the neighborhood for food and wine — here’s why: Food: The menu is expansive and mostly appropriately priced(I would argue that the entrée prices are a little steep). There are multiple meat skewers and filo-wrapper meats, cheeses, and vegetables for small-portion meals as well as a variety of LARGE sides. I had a side of the vegetable cous-cous for $ 6 and it was the size of a meal. Although I am weary of Texas seafood, the seafood entrees both smelled and tasted fresh. Alcohol: The menu is pretty decent, with«sexy drinks» on the main food menu ranging from a Crème Brulee Martini to the classic Flirtini. The wine list is an appropriate size and variety for such a small restaurant; they offer a few blends that were delicious. My friend is a gin drinker, and the restaurant was OUT. It is always odd to see a restaurant with a «full» bar that is under-stocked. However, the Dos Fincas red blend was so delicious that the five of us split three bottles. Service: The service was quick and efficient. The waitress knew the popular dishes, but she wasn’t able to explain the spices and flavors.

We showed up without a reservation on a Wednesday night so had to sit outside, we started with the casa beer, the starter platter of dips and olives, everything was excellent. The chicken marakesh was absolutely delicious with the black cherry cheesecake to finish it off. Best cheesecake I’ve truly ever had. Deserves the five stars for service, the food and ambiance.

The atmosphere and food are excellent. The menu has both classic and unique recipes. From appetizers to desserts, I’ve always enjoyed their mastery of Moroccan cuisine. The atmosphere has a comfortable ethic flare and a dark intimate mood. Making it a great place for a date night, pre-game meal or just a nice place to wind down after work with their signature caramel fig martini. Yes, you read that correctly. Also, it’s always nice to receive a personal welcome from Sam the owner. He makes you feel like you came over for dinner and loves to share his stories about Morocco and life in the US.

This is one of my go to restaurants in Dallas when I am catching up with a friend or have a guest visiting from out of town. The atmosphere is cozy and just perfect for conversation. I am always greeted warmly by the owner Sam and the staff is very attentive with out making you feel rushed. Tonight I made a reservation(which I strongly recommend as the tables fill up quickly) and took a friend who had never been there before. She sipped the mint tea all night long while I enjoyed two generous pours of the Moroccan red they serve by the glass. We shared the appetizer sampler, the beef phyllo cigars and the crème brûlée all of which were delicious and are my favorite things on the menu. I was given a glass of mint tea as well with the dessert which I very much enjoyed. I highly recommend this place as a great date night, night out with friends or for dinner before an event at the AAC.

Good food. Had the Med-Fin salad with shrimp and pita on the side. It was a delicious salad, I wasn’t a huge fan of the poached figs but the meal worked. I think the pita on the side was critical but it’s not a menu item. You can order it separately and they charged me $ 2.50 for a decent amount. Not sure if their menu changes frequently but they didn’t have a Cucumber Martini that I’ve seen in photos on Unilocal when I went. Anyway it’s a nice chill place to grab a meal on the patio if you’re in the area(eg staying at the W for work) but not sure if I’d seek it out if I wasn’t already in the area.

I had the best sea bass in my LIFE at Medina two nights ago it was the daily special which I was reluctant to order because the lamb chops were so highly recommended. Wow. The fish was light and flakey, mild, with enough oil to make it tender and not dry. This dish should be a regular menu item! Our group of eight shared two orders of the mixed platter and ground beef wrapped in Phillo for starters. The pita was warm, freshly made, and plentiful. A couple bottles of reasonably priced Cote du Rhone were an unexpected surprise. The location is small and intimate with a nice shaded patio for al fresco dining. The place was full but didn’t seem overcrowded. Walking distance to AA Center makes Medina an ideal place before or after a game or concert.

My fiancé’ and I decided to try Medina Oven & Bar out this past Sunday in the late afternoon. We got there at 4pm and the restaurant was empty, which wasn’t surprising due to the time that we went. It was too hot to sit on the patio; however, I liked how shaded the patio was and would definitely come back again to sit out there on a cooler day. The inside is small and intimate. The seating has thick, cushioned padding which made us feel so comfortable. Our waitress was to the point, not giving any more than she could, but it didn’t matter to us because we already knew the things we wanted to try on the menu, so we didn’t need much assistance. We started off with hummus and warm pita bread. The hummus was some of the best in the city, if not the best. Their pita bread was soft and heated to the perfect temperature. I highly recommend the hummus appetizer! We then decided to share the Med-Rim Salad, with an addition of Shrimp. I thought it was great that the waitress brought the salad out already split for two people to share. The salad was absolutely divine. The dressing was light and refreshing, and complimented the figs, shrimp, and mandarin so well. The shrimp had a great flavor, but I do wish they were taken off of the grill maybe a minute sooner. Overall, I liked the salad so much to where I wish I had ordered it as my entrée. For my entrée, I selected the Sea Bass Tagine. The sea bass was drenched in a tomato type sauce, while being surrounded by vegetables. The sea bass was cooked superbly! I loved how the chef charred the outside of the sea bass, without making it too overpowering. This dish would have been a perfect 10, but there was one side of the dish that was a bit too salty. I’m guessing the hand got heavy on the left side of the plate maybe. I also tasted some of the Marrakesh Chicken and it was wonderful. The sauce was packed with flavor and the chicken mixed great with the potato cake. As we were getting ready to leave, two other couples walked in. I’m sure they have a good amount of business during lunch and dinner hours. They also take reservations, which is so accommodating! I will definitely be back again!

First time to Medina. This is must stop for your palette. The ambiance & décor was warm and inviting. Our waiter Alex was very accommodating and very patient explaining the menu and recommending drinks. My husband and I ordered: Drinks– the Pine Honey and the cucumber basil martini. They are to die for… I call it Holy water… The entrees were heavenly… Entrée(s)-the sea bass And the chicken with apricot… We had a great experience. Sam the owner came to introduce himself to us. Needless to say we will be back for sure to try everything else on the menu… And ask for Alex he will take great care of you!

I cannot say enough good things about our exquisite meal at Medina, but I’m going to try. We arrived with reservations on a Friday night, and as we walked up to the door of the restaurant, a man sitting at one of the outside tables(possibly the owner?) stood up and greeted us so warmly that for a moment we thought he’d mistaken us for people he knew. But no, that was just how nice he was. He held the door for us, asked our names, welcomed us, complimented us, and showed us immediately to our table. Once seated, we were instantly welcomed by our server and given menus and full glasses of ice water. I’ve never been so promptly and generously taken care of in a restaurant. Medina is a beautifully decorated and intimate space, perfect for a romantic evening. Low lights, warm jewel tones and exotic background music made us feel transported. We started with cocktails: the Moroccan Mojito and the Med-Rim Margarita, both excellent and nicely strong. For an appetizer we shared the Smoked Eggplant spread, which came with a plate of oven warm pita triangles. The spread was absolutely scrumptious, and the pita was so plentiful that there was no need to order more. For our entrees, the two of us shared the Med-Rim Salad with added shrimp and the Sea Bass Tagine. The salad was delicious – figs, oranges, feta and almonds on a bed of spinach, tossed in a honey lemon vinaigrette. But on this dish it was the shrimp that really blew us away; roasted in spices so unique and mouth-watering that even I(new to seafood and never a big fan of shrimp) was fighting over who got to eat the last one. The Sea Bass Tagine was simply out of this world. You MUST order this dish. Served in a flavorful tomato purée over carrots, bell peppers and roasted potatoes, the fish is so buttery and perfect that it just melts on your tongue. And it comes with a side of their piping hot pita, a wonderful addition to any meal. Throughout the evening the service was outstanding. We never felt ignored, our water glasses were always full, but neither did we feel rushed or watched in any way. Medina has rocketed to the top of my list of favorite Dallas restaurants.

Wow — what a delectable gift! A tantalizing aroma filled the room when it was delivered! The lids were opened one by one — mmmm! Ok, time to dig in — a piece of pita dipped into the hummus — really? — yum! Onto the next … ALL dishes were delicious! Hmmm — Casablanca salad, first sight, relatively plain — but it was their dressing — OMG– after being tossed — it’s heavenly! Will definitely try dining at their location — until then looking forward to having them deliver again and again!

Nestled behind victory park lies unbelievable Moroccan food. Spiced to perfection and a must try: filet, chicken and shrimp skewers. The lamb was cooked perfectly. Get the humus, as they provide more than enough pita. Sam, you were an excellent host, thank you as we will be back. Oh, thanks for the Pineapple infused vodka

4.5** [Ambience: 5] Medina Oven & Bar is a quaint, upscale restaurant adorned in romantic Moroccan-inspired décor. With its dim lights, romantic and beautiful décor, Medina is the perfect date night option. [Service: 5] Our server, along with the restaurant staff, were super friendly and outgoing. They worked hard to ensure that our party of 10 was having a pleasant dining experience, and we did — so thank you. I know how tough it can be serving a large party, especially a birthday party, but the staff at Medina did an awesome job. They offered to store my friend’s tray of strawberry-dipped chocolates and cake in their fridge. In addition to that, our server even went out of the way to take the strawberries out of the foil pan and served it on a nice plate for my friend! Wow, talk about attention to detail and great service. [Food: 4.5] Started off with the sampler plate of dips to share, which has hummus, roasted tomato & garlic dip, eggplant dip and harissa aioli, as well as, Moroccan style olives. –Hummus — Delicious, creamy and smooth. –Roasted tomato & garlic dip — not my favorite, but still good. –Eggplant dip — Similar to the roasted tomato in texture, slightly chunky, but good as well. –Harissa aioli — ADDICTING. –Olives — Delicious. Well-flavored, not too salty. –Pita bread — Hot, fresh and soft. Then I got the highly recommended beef cigars. The phyllo dough is flaky, crispy and the beef is flavorful. Delicious. For my main entrée, I got the Marrakesh chicken, which was my least favorite. The marinade has a moderate citrus taste and a nice, overall flavor. However, the chicken itself is a little dry. I tried my bf’s sea bass tagine and immediately regretted not getting that after the first bite. The sea bass is nicely charred and seasoned on the outside; it’s flaky and perfectly melts in your mouth. Overall, great service, delicious food and romantic ambience. Medina’s is one of those restaurants where you can order anything, and you won’t be disappointed.

We pretty much got what was recommended by fellow Unilocalers — hummus(we got the sampler plate), beef cigars, and lamb sausage pizza. Me and birthday boy devoured the entire meal plus the orange blossom crème brûlée. Wonderful ending. Our server was very nice and upbeat, asking us about our day and what we were doing in town, etc. I mentioned it was my friend’s birthday and he brought out the dessert because he wanted our experience to be memorable. And that it was my friend.
