Started with the chips and 3 dips. So good. The #5 with the brisket taco and cheese enchilada was the best. Great service from Eric.

Mesero is a great, classy, little Latin restaurant off Henderson. We got seated at 7pm without a wait but there was definitely a wait by the time we left around 9pm. The food is very good: tasty, fresh, and perfect portions. I had El Miguelito which was delicious, especially the enchilada. I wasn’t in the mood to have a drink but others with me said theirs were good. Service was very good too although we did feel a bit like we were getting pushed out the door once the bill came. All in all everything was very good. I was honestly hesitant to give it 5 stars because I wasn’t necessarily blown away by how amazing Mesero’s was but there really wasn’t anything that would justify me withholding that coveted final star either– they did a great job.

Food was good, atmosphere was good, waitstaff was good, three kinds of salsa, chips however were served about 13 chips at a time, and we had to ask for more chips and salsa twice, and the people drinking soda at the table paid three dollars per CAN of soda. No one was notified, that there were no free refills, it did not say so on the menu. Paying six dollars for Diet Coke at lunch? Really? I mean really?

Came to Mesero on Henderson last Saturday night for a friend’s birthday dinner. We had reservations for 8pm but didn’t get seated until after 9pm. The restaurant is very busy and there were several parties waiting for tables that night. The restaurant has two floors but both floors were pretty packed with little to no standing or sitting room. The vibe here is actually very upbeat and the music is great. Makes you want to dance so I didn’t mind the wait to much. It took a while for the waitress to get our food and drink orders but once they were placed everything came out pretty quickly. I ordered the shrimp ceviche and the cazera salad. Both were excellent. I loved how the shrimp ceviche had so much avocado and the cazera salad was big and filling. I’d come back because the atmosphere and food was reasonably priced and delicious. However, I’d probably want to come back when they’re less busy.

I made a 8:30 reservation for about 15 people and after 50 minutes of waiting we still weren’t able to be seated. Wouldn’t recommend going on a Friday or Saturday due to poor service and over-booking.

I went over my Christmas break and I ordered the«Range Chicken La Brasa». It was chicken over chedder-chipotle grits which was very cheesy and delicious, with pickled onions and an arugula salad and I must say it was AWESOME. I highly recommend that any and everyone take the time to try their food. The customer service was awesome and our food came out hot and really fast. Anyone who dines in here will certainly be pleased.

Lovely place to have lunch or dinner, I was visiting Dallas and went to lunch with some co-workers there. The food is delicious and very affordable. Love the brisket tacos and the guacamole was delicious.

I went on a Saturday afternoon. It’s not nearly as packed as the evenings, which was nice. I had the green chicken enchiladas which were pretty yummy. I paid around $ 11.00 which I didn’t think was bad. The service was great. Their staff is pleasant and attentive. As we were paying for our tab the manager offered to pay our bottle of wine for no reason, this was very kind of him. Would definitely go back.

Very attentive waiter, well balanced drinks, and the food was pretty good. Service was quick even with a full house. Thank you come again.

Nothing says you’re not welcomed here quite like being told there aren’t any seats while you stare at a 2 and 4 top stay empty for an hour while you’re waiting at the bar, and then to add insult to injury, not even being seated for your reservation. So 0 stars for the service. Food reminds me of Taco Diner, and drinks remind me of Mi Cocina. Although if I had to go to a new Mesero styled restaurant, I would go to Mr. Masero on the other side of the highway which at least has a few more unique dishes rather than just revamped Mi Cocina 2.0 dishes. I’d give the food alone maybe 3 stars.

My first time here and I live down the street and it was delish! We sat inside but it was a beautiful night so they opened the doors and it was a great atmosphere ! It was so busy for a Wednesday night! Our waiter named Fabian was GREAT! Sweetest guy and very helpful with recommendations. We had mojitos and margaritas that were good and strong. The guacamole and queso were AMAZING! I ate so much of it. I got the appetizer quesadilla and only ate half bc I filled up on chips and guacamole! It was overall a great experience and Fabian made it even better.

came in here on a Saturday night, it was a full house, David the manager greeted us and told us we can have drinks at the bar on the second level until our table is ready. By the time we were done with the drinks our table was ready, we ordered the Rosa Pistola appetizer it was very different yet tasty. They Also bring you complimentary chips & salsa. For my dinner i had the El «Miguelito» the brisket taco was so flavorful. I might just have that by it self next time. I will definitely return.

I went to Mesero recently for the first time. I had a great experience. I was nicely greeted when I walked inside. The bartender highly recommended that I try the«El Santo» to drink, which was amazing as I thought about what I wanted to eat. It was hard to pick what I actually wanted, because they had so many good options to choose from. While looking at the menu, the restaurant Director David introduced himself and ask how was the level of service. In addition, he recommended that I try the«Range chicken La Brasa». The dish was amazing. The atmosphere can allow you to take a date or have groups come for great convo on the second level. I highly recommend this spot. They have me hooked as a regular.

Fabulous spot in Lower Greenville. Except for a slight delay between getting our drinks and placing our food order the service was excellent. I had a mango agua fresca which was tasty and refreshing and wife and I shared the queso mesero which was just fabulous(white cheese, spinach, artichoke, and poblano peppers). The selection of three salsas with chips were fantastic too. For my entrée I had the tomatillo chicken enchilada, brisket taco, and green rice. The rice was fragrant and delicious and the black refried beans had to be the best I’ve ever had. Definitely coming back to this spot.

Yea! Not the overly critical critic this time where my rating doesn’t match everuone else! Four for me! Ambiance– pretty contemporary and clean. They also have an outdoor place to sit whxih does a very nice job hiding the busy Henderson traffic. Price– average for Knox-Henderson area Service– nice guy! Also right on with his recommendations. Food– very good! Tortilla chips are delicous authentic and accompanied with three delicious salas. Tip! U can ask for mix and match on the tacos! It’s not listed on the menu– but be sure to do this to max out the variety! Shrimp taco was my favorite followed by the fried fish taco. The pulled pork and steak tacos were both delcious as well! Drinks were well made here too.

Came over with a party of five on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was a little challenging but we found a spot at their parking space behind the restaurant. We were seated at the patio and our waiter was friendly and helpful with recommending drinks and food. For starters, we ordered the Queso Masero and ordered the El Santo drink that is a mix of frozen micorita and house sangria. For entrees, we ordered the Miguelito and the La Brasa(Free Range Chicken). Wife ordered the Brandon drink that was also really good. The Pastel Cinco Leches was ordered for the dessert. It was tasty! Other than our waiter leaving after his shift was over and not transitioning over to the next guy, everything was great. The food, the drinks, the dessert were great. The patio seating can be noisy with all the vehicle traffic on Henderson avenue.

I was surprised to be seated so quickly without a reservation on a Friday night, but a spot opened up on the patio and since there was a pretty strong breeze, I figured we could handle the August heat. Plus, the music inside this place was a little too loud for my mood at the time. I could hear myself think on the patio. However it did look fun inside! This is a small restaurant but it has quite a vibe going on. Very young, dynamic, lively, and trendy. I was perfectly comfortable outside at our little table and could still people watch through the window while watching cars drive by on my other side. Our waiter was awesome and so nice, I wish I could remember his name! He had great suggestions, knew the menu perfectly, and just had an awesome casual attitude. He seemed happy even though the restaurant was extremely busy and he was running all over the place. He brought us our drinks, bubbly for me and a margarita for Adam, and double checked that the entrée I was eyeing was indeed gluten free. It was! I was told that most of their dishes and sauces are naturally GF, and if they’re not, the chef can most likely accommodate your order anyway. I ordered the fried rice dish with crispy pork, shrimp, mushroom, tomato, and a fried egg. I loved this creative fusion of flavors. Fried rice at a Mexican restaurant? I usually can’t have fried rice because there is glutenous soy sauce in there, but this dish was meant for me! The pork was seriously crispy, the shrimp was perfect, the veggies were fresh, and the whole meal was well rounded, beautifully presented, and delicious. A fried egg on top makes everything better, of course. Adam had the fish tacos which come stuffed with the fresh fish of the day, which happened to be halibut. I had a bite and the taco tasted so clean and citrusy with some great textures going on. The slaw was gooooooood too. For our two entrees and three drinks, our bill was about $ 70. Not bad at all considering the wonderful ambiance, quality of food, and level of service. Plus you get chips and a trio of salsas which were each amazing– all very distinct. I liked the red the best, but I pretty much ate all three of them until they were gone. I don’t get to Dallas too often, but I’ll keep Mesero on my list of definite go-to restaurants.

This is the place to go for some good Tex Mex. First of all, the vibe is very fun and lively. I highly recommend you make a reservation, because this place is always super packed. The only bad thing about the place is that the music is so loud that it’s hard to hear the people at your table speak. The White Shrimp Ceviche is so delicious and packed with a ton of flavor, but it’s so spicy that it’s hard for me to intake. The best thing about this appetizer is the mixture of the avocado and shrimp together in the zesty sauce that it’s topped with. My favorite meal here is the Fried Rice«La China». You wouldn’t normally think that a Tex Mex place would make good fried rice, but this dish is amazing, accompanied with a fried egg on top. Make sure to order a few margaritas on the rocks. The margaritas are definitely the best in town!
