April 2015 was a bad luck month for us and plumbing. But in my opinion, I was fortunate to find Metro-Flow. I can’t tell you if their prices are crazy expensive for everything they do, because I’m not a plumber. I really don’t know what it cost to fix things. And yes, I’m sure I could have found supplies such as a toilet bowl cheaper at Lowes or Home Depot, and I could have carried the heavy thing to my home, but I don’t have that kind of time. I’m sure I could have called several plumbers, but a visit from any plumber is going to cost. In early April, roots shattered a pipe under my home. Metro-Flow brought a camera and put it down the pipe. I saw it with my own eyes. The pipe was underneath my beautiful kitchen. I knew it was going to cost to get it fixed. Daryl with Metro-Flow was quick to answer all my questions. Yes it was expensive, but they had to dig a cave under my house to get to the pipe. The pipe was fixed and no more toilet overflow in my upstair’s bathroom. Two weeks later my downstairs toilet started having issues. It had to be replaced too. It was leaking. Again Daryl and an assistant came out. He quoted a price and when it came out to be a bit more after it was fixed, I discussed it with him, and he kept his word to the original price. No problem. It was fixed and the toilet is working fine. Again, maybe I could have made several calls all over Dallas to find a cheaper plumber. But its about time and convenience for me. Metro-Flows plumbers got the job done, even threw in a few coupons. I asked them to «work with me» and they did. They were professional, wore little«footie covers“over their shoes to keep my house carpet and floors clean. Would I call them again? I have Metro-Flow on speed dial if there is such a thing on my cellphone, but I hope not to see them anytime soon. I’m done with plumbing problems.

Abusive prices. Extremely expensive. $ 608.00 for a clogged toilet. It took less than 25 minutes. Never again. I won’t recommend this company

I spent $ 1500 getting a repair done by them last week. To accomplish this they had to remove my toilet from upstairs. They grabbed it by the tub and were dragging it around upstairs. It started to leak from the connections a few hours after they left. They came out today and said that because there was brown water by the connections that it had been leaking. Once I asked them if it was just the water from the bottom of the tank, they said they were professional and had been doing it fro 27 years. I guess by «it», they must have meant ripping people off. I don’t recommend this company.

The company did a good job however I should have called other companies in the area. They charged triple, the cost from other companies. They replaced a rubber ring and charged over $ 300 for a job that in which they spent less than 30 minutes to complete. Regretfully I would recommend for people to look at other companies or a handy man first. Maybe Home Depot or Lowes would provide you with ideas on how to do it yourself.

This is a very, very deceitful company. I needed a new toilet in the kids bathroom, and wanted to put in a good one. I got prices from Lowe’s and Home Depot, then decided to check with the«professionals». I called the company and asked about pricing, and was told they cannot give any prices until the plumber comes out and looks at the situation. I said can you give me a range or price for a «normal» install? No, of course not. So, dummy me, I agreed to pay $ 49 for a bid. I thought that if they were a bit more than the retail stores it might be worth it. The plumber that came out was very nice, very professional, and cleanly dressed. Then I started feeling like I was at an Amway meeting. He pulled out presentation cards that explain how they do things. At this point he had been there almost an hour and I had yet to get a price. Then he explained they use something like flat rate prices. This meant the guy on the phone was lying, because they have a set price for everything. He also would not split out the price between the labor and materials. Then he finally showed me the prices. To quote my teenagers«OMG»! The toilet I wanted would be $ 1,000 installed. I went out later and order the exact same one with installation at Home Depot for $ 438(before a 10% HD credit card discount). When I gave the plumber the $ 49 check and told him to hit the road he was a bit snooty and commented on their great service. My first thought was if this is the type of ongoing service I can look forward to, forget it. My second thought was that you can provide some pretty good service if you charge more than double for your products and service. I am usually not a «sucker», but I was suckered by Metro-Flow Plumbing and their lack of honesty. I assume they much leach onto the elderly or people who are unable to go out and check and validate prices. I may yet file a complaint with the BBB.

Do not even bother calling this group. Their estimates are astronomical and they try to cover that up by offering a variety of convoluted«discount» programs. Also, they charge a $ 49 «service fee» just for giving you the high cost estimates. When I asked for the fee to be refunded, the owner was rude and argumentative with me and basically hung up on me. I think these guys are dishonest and try to take advantage of customers that don’t know much about plumbing. Basically, I was told that it would cost $ 267 to install my kitchen faucet, $ 269 to hook up my gas stove, $ 267 for the sink basket, and $ 450 – 800 for a new garbage disposal. They also wanted to charge $ 200 to cut into my wall to check out a potential problem.
