The OG is a good lunch stop. I have to admit I dig the soup, salad, bread-stick gig. I strayed to the lunch pastas and was disappointed. I think better pasta exists on the CiCi’s lunch buffet. That being said, the rest of the lunch and service was exactly what you’d expect from OG. It was okay. It’s always okay.

Pretty much all Olive Garden’s are the same. Same décor, same menu… same ol same ol. What was different on this night was the risotto appetizers. They were very tasty. I think these are new. The big difference was the service. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter was super nice and attentive. Our waiter was helpful and knowledgeable. We know service varies at each location. I’m happy that the service was great here. It makes the food taste better when you don’t have the sour taste of terrible service.

Mike was awesome!!! We messed up on our pick up order and they had it ready for us in no time! They really took care of us. Food was yummy and Chris was awesome! Never had such good service at an Olive Garden.

I went in on my lunch break and was welcomed by the hostess immediately. I was asked if I’d like to sit at the bar or in the main dining area. Since I was alone, I decided to try out the bar area as there is a TV to keep me entertained if I don’t have to answer work emails. I ordered the Toscana Soup and the salad. THe soup was hot and fresh. I could tell by the coloring of the kale it hadn’t sat all morning. The salad had plenty of peppers, onions and tomatoes. I was a happy camper. My waitresss Courtney was very kind as well as prompt. She made sure I was happy and had plenty to eat/drink. She was also quick to get my tab since I was on a strict schedule. This is the first time, I have been blown away by the service at Olive Garden! Kuddos to Courtney!

Service at the bar was good, Ronnie was very attentive at the bar area, kept it clean, and did a great job which earned him a good tip and also why this place got 3 stars instead of 1. The food however is not good. I tasted 3 different soups which made progresso canned soup seem gourmet. My companion mentioned that the salad could’ve been crisper(I agree) which basically meant it came from a bag and wasn’t fresh. There is nothing about the food that makes me think a cook or fresh ingredients exist in this kitchen. Then again, this is basically fast food for Italian restaurants so I can’t complain and decided because the service is good I’d give it 3 stars.

Today I had the best 5 cheese ziti(with the whole wheat pasta) ever! It was hot and cheesy and wonderful. The salad was good(as always) although they were a little heavy on the dressing. The service was excellent. And I could kick myself in the head because I cannot remember the name of our server. The only complaint that I had, which isn’t really a complaint, is that we were right by the place where they enter the the orders in on the computer and there was a congregation of servers at that point. They weren’t loud or obnoxious or anything but it was just kind of offputting that there were so many just standing around. I guess they were waiting for the crowd for Father’s Day to come in. The reason that I’m giving this restaurant a five star rating today is because I locked my keys in my car and everyone was so nice and I really appreciated that. The hostess even came outside and asked me if I’d like a glass of water or tea while I waited and then went inside and got it for me. It made an uncomfortable situation tolerable. Thank you so, so much!

Service is terrible, we waited 15 min to get served. None of the 2 waiters pay attention to us. A family came after us and they got there drink order first while we are waiting for waiter to come to are table. The food wasn’t that great either. I ordered stuffed chicken masala, muschrooms tasted weird like if it was straight out of a can. The mash patatoes were bland. Olive garden supposed to be good, I guess not this location. Over all wasn’t happy with the service, was ignore the whole time.

My boyfriend and I attempted to eat at this location. After sitting for over 10 minutes without as much as an acknowledgement from any of the staff we got up to head next door to Red Lobster. To be fair, I’m pregnant and he had been fasting(Ash Wednesday), we may have been hangry and overreacted a bit. As we stormed out the door we mentioned we were leaving due to lack of service. The manager, Kris, asked us several times to stay and let him make it right but by this point the bf had said the words«cheddar biscuits» and Kris never stood a chance. Shortly afterward a hostess from Olive Garden found us at Red Lobster with a gift card and a hand written apology from the manager. I’ve been in the service industry for 10 years and I’ve never seen that happen. Good job, Kris. We will be giving you another shot.

For a chain restaurant I truly love the Olive Garden. It’s always consistent experience, no I guessing is about. Irving Olive Garden, is unlike any I have ever been to. Its low ceilings gave a very homey atmosphere. Perhaps it is the older establishment I’m not quite for sure, but if so, it is well taken care of. Our waiter Orlando was very attentive and did not miss a opportunity to serve whether it be tea, water, or cheese. He was on top of every issue, great training Olive Garden. Not only did he give us excellent service he also assisted tables nearby. Well done Orlando. The parking lot was clean and well lit, and in Irving it’s hard to find a place where you’re not a little scared to walk in the dark.

Great for lunch. Our waiter, Luis did a good job. He was super slammed but I could tell he made a true effort to check on our table and ensure that we were able to order quickly. I love the soup, salad, and bread sticks lunch. The raspberry tea is my favorite! Overall good experience.

The customer service was average. I ordered over the phone. I was all excited to get my chicken parmesan dinner-sized…then I got home. The pasta was undercooked, one scoop of marinara was there… and then the chicken cutlets. I could not chew it, it was like it had cartilage running throughout the meat. I didn’t see any pink in it so it was cooked through but that was not chicken. To make matters worse within hours I was sick like I had food poisoning… Not cool. Called to speak with a manager and got put on hold forever. Finally just went back up there(20 miles away). This location, is taking advantage of the area and is giving Olive Garden a bad name.

One of my favorite italian places to eat in the area. They have a vast menu, wine collection, and the table service is great. I recommend the«tour of italy» and the«house salad». The full bar is great too but a little pricey.

Haven’t been here in forever. We had a really nice waiter who was very attentive and friendly. The salad was the same as I remember: delicious! I got the ziti, which was also the same as I remember. We don’t come here often, but it fit our needs at the time.

I participated in a tasting event at this location last night. The event was outstanding. All dishes were prepared with the utmost care, and the servers were absolutely wonderful. The GM and area manager along with the other local management and the folks putting on the tasting were all great hosts. I do not frequent this area a lot, so I cannot say much about the location itself. The restaurant was beautiful though. I felt more like I was in an authentic Italian restaurant enjoying a holiday feast than being inside of a casual American chain restaurant. Thanks again to all involved for a great experience.

Very disappointing visit without question! I placed a to go order and it took twice as long as I was told so I stood there and waited… and waited. When I opened my containers to look at the food, all 3 of my entrees had VERY little sauce and were incredibly dry. I realize food costs are a concern but when you spend $ 70.00 on food, you expect and deserve more than what I received today! Very disappointing indeed…

I may have to take back every bad thing I have said about Olive Garden! You have to try the Italian Small Plates! YUM! I had the Tortelloni al Forno, Sausage Fonduta, and the Bruschetta Duo which consist of Tomato Basil with Italian Cheese and Tuscan White Bean Hummus. I discovered why I always hated Olive Garden: they NEVER kept my favorites on the menu! Turns out the location I go to is a test location! But our waitress Maria assured me the Italian Small Plates are there to stay! I hope she is right because I enjoyed the rich flavors of the Prosciutto-laced Tortelloni, the smooth Hummus with a hint of citrus, and the herb-filled italian sausage of the Fonduta! You can get 1 Small plate for $ 4.00, 2 for $ 7, or $ 3 for $ 10. Salad and Breadsticks can be added for an additional $ 3. It turned out to be A LOT of food for such a great price. Italian Tapas… who knew?

It’s time for an embarrassing confession: I love Olive Garden. Yes, me. Lover of small hole-in-the-walls, independent restaurants, celebrity chefs, and fine dining. Hater of chain restaurants. There’s just something about the Olive Garden. From time to time I’ll see a commercial and say to my boyfriend, «ok…it’s been a few months… let’s do it.» And off to the land of fake Italian and crappy table wine we go. Sure, we could find Italian that’s better. Or cheaper. Or better and cheaper. But there’s something about being able to order unlimited soup/salad and breadsticks and my trusty steak gorgonzola pasta.(I swear I have been known to dream about the steak gorgonzola pasta.) It’s enough to make me overlook the fact that the tiramisu is always slightly frozen. And that my boyfriend ventured out to try a new chicken dish and found it severely lacking and accompanied by undercooked rice trying to do a risotto impression. So we went there last week. And everything was comfortingly mediocre(except for that steak gorgonzola pasta, which was pure awesomeness). We won’t need to go back for a while. But fast forward a few months and no doubt we’ll be watching a rerun of The Big Bang Theory and an Olive Garden commercial will flash on TV and we’ll look at each other and say«let’s do it.»

A grey stretch of highway with freeway backdrop becomes the prototype of ugly DFW with the only salvation being an unusual multitude of big box restaurants, as well as strip clubs, like Joes Crab Shack and Olive Garden, which my friend Paul sought out for a comfort meal where after eating he said slowly while smiling, «that was so good I want to just take my shoes off and walk around.» Picky Paul, unexpectedly found happiness in microwaved calamari’s and 4 cheese pasta entrees reminiscent of a Budget Gourmet tv dinner, which when I pointed out he actually got excited and found it beautiful. Ah the power of food preservative chemistry and the nostalgia of a family dinner perhaps. I had a small, less than palm sized, piece of chicken with broccoli and asparagus that was on the«olive branch» menu for $ 10, and came with unlimited salad. So I ate healthy, which counts for something. Our diligent waitress even carefully put the dressing on the side so I could eat mine dry. I’m anti chain — this place reminds me of eating in a hospital cafeteria but for some reason it’s big with Latin families. Paul agreed, «This is a fancy meal out for us. In some small towns, people will propose at the Olive Garden.» Paul said smiling. Sometimes you make sacrifices in the name of family, so I’ll, perhaps sheepishly, come here again with my little bro Paul. Just keep me away from those unlimited breadsticks.
