Oral Fixation

Oral Fixation is a storytelling series that showcases true stories of Dallas residents. I recently had the pleasure of listening to the latest show Oral Fixation: Destination America at the Dallas Museum of Art. It was fantastic! Seven Dallas residents told us their stories of immigrating to America. One was a Greek man that has been here for decades and another an Iraqi family that just arrived in January! The stories were absolutely riveting, and you could really see their passion. Some were incredibly funny, while others were haunting and heartbreaking. Nicole Stewart, the director, has done a phenomenal job curating these Dallas stories.
Their subjects vary throughout the season, as do their locations. I believe they have had shows in Fair Park, Deep Ellum and the Arts District.
I can’t wait to go to another show!
